Well stocked and nicely priced. I usually am there for the spirits but they have a great selection of wines as well. Also nicely priced.

i just recently got wind of a story and saw video regarding the store manager being rude and aggressive toward a female customer and fellow business owner.witness accounts verify his behavior towards the woman described as being intimating and aggressive.she even called the police out of fear for her safety and a report was made. however his behavior is unacceptable. he should apologize immediately or resign as he is a potential liability for this company and a safety concern for the public. this is not his first episode acting this way with customers however should be his last.ownership has an obligation to keep customers safe from this hot head of a manager or continue to place themselves at risk to the legal consequence of employing this type of person and danger he presents. i will follow this story to see if ownership takes any steps to address this.until then i will no longer patronize this business and encourage everyone to so the same. read more

The service has mostly been awful. The employees sit behind the counter and seem that they could not care less if you are there or not. Prices not outrageous for a small town. Selection Ok BUT difficult to get anyone to assist you..and it would be helpful if they knew their wines... read more

We are relatively new to Aiken. Harvard's has a very nice selection of Wines. On the rare occasion they do not have what i am looking for they will order a case for me and get it in a very timely manner. The staff is also very helpful. read more

One of the few one-stop shops for alcohol in Aiken. Has an excellent selection of liquors, liqueurs and wines on the main side; and a great selection of beers on the 'beer side'. (Don't ask...lol...it's a SC thing!) Staff is always friendly and Tasha knows her wines, keep an eye out for her 'picks'! Lots of parking, great location and very reasonable prices. read more

Over the years service at Harvard's has been spotty, ranging from good to "barely there". Today it was just plain awful. Having only shopped for liquor there, today I went into the tiny beer side. An employee walked through to the back and out again without even looking at me. She could have said "Do you need help?" Or she could have said she would return to help me shortly. She didn't even acknowledge my presence. When I was ready to check out, there was still no one available. I had been calling for help since I first entered but no one responded, despite that employee having walked past me. I could hear people talking as plainly as if they were standing beside me, so there is no doubt they could hear me calling for help. Finally I pushed the cart out into the foyer and headed into the liquor side. A man came out of the beer side behind me (how he got in there without me seeing him is mystifying!). Just like the woman, he didn't speak...no "can I help you?" So I asked him if he could help me. Very coldly, he said "in a minute", so I pushed the cart back into the beer room to wait for him. When he came back I told him about the woman who had ignored me. His response? "We prioritize." Excuse me?? Then I said I had been calling for help for some time. He: "We have a bell for people to ring to get our attention." I hadn't seen the bell, but I promise you that if they could hear that little ping they absolutely could hear me calling for help. And would it be so hard to put a sign by the register "RING BELL FOR SERVICE"? I guess they "prioritize"... I am old and disabled, so shopping is always hard for me. Harvard's has made it just too difficult. And as if to complete the lousy service, the man never apologized for not responding sooner nor did he thank me for my business. Had he done either, it would have been fine. Instead, I came away with the sense that I had created a great inconvenience for the folks at Harvard. SMH. read more

Terrible customer service, has gone down hill over the years. I purchased several items today and the employees were yelling across the store about what they were ordering for lunch. I was looking around the assistance and when I asked fir help, they were still discussing their lunch order. When the cashier rang up my items she simply handed me my change and didn't say thank you, nothing. I've patronized them over the years and Jeep giving them chances; however, I will not be back. read more

Harvard's is my go-to spot to grab beer, wine, or liquor while I'm visiting Aiken. The staff is super friendly and there is plenty of parking- it really is a one-stop-shop for all your alcohol needs! I always stop by Harvard's to stock up on my favorite wines. They have some of the wines that I normally buy at the grocery store for half the price! During my last visit, they even had a woman giving out samples of one brand of wine, which was really nice. I'd never seen a liquor store do this before! My boyfriend can always find his favorite bourbons, and they have a great selection of beers on the other side of the store. Between the convenience, the great prices, and the friendly staff, we will certainly be back during our next visit! All together, this place is definitely a win in my books! read more

This is your only shot for decent beer in Aiken. Would be 5 stars if they could step it up a little. Glad they are here though otherwise is a drive to Colombia or Augusta. read more

Harvard Wine & Beverage seems to be THE place for all your boozy needs in Aiken, South Carolina. Prices seemed very legit on hard alcohol, certainly cheaper than the Washington State liquor stores I'm used to. Wine selection was without a doubt the best I've seen in my short stay here, and priced much better than local grocery stores. I was pleasantly surprised to find many back-vintages of wine, and it occurred to me that this was not because the store was actively seeking them out, but rather that they've been sitting on the shelf collecting dust all these years. Who cares about a 1990 Chateau Tour d'Auron Bordeaux Superieur for $22 or a 1993 Remoissenet Pommard-Rugiens Premier Cru for $54 when you can get a bottle of sweet, tasty Scuppernong for $7? They also carry the usual suspects that I'm sure fly off the shelves: Ecco Domani, Yellow Tail, low-end Chianti, California Cab, you name it. Anyway, I will be returning to this place to pick up a few of the aforementioned deals. Cheers! read more

I've been to harvards on multiple occasions. But this past Friday (6-6-14) I bought som jäger from the liquor side and then bought a six pack of Stella Artois from the beer side. First Stella, great! Every other Stella after it has been skunked and I'm rather upset. Especially since I paid a decent chunk of change for the six pack (8.99). Step it up guys! read more
