This dealership is very poor. We made an appointment with the manager Chris to purchase a truck. To find out after driving 45 min to get there for a evening appointment that the car was shipped to another state at 11 in the morning. Very switch and bate stuff. Also who makes an appointment to meet with people and get confirmation text to get there and find out that the manager who the appointment was with was already gone for the day....well they confirmed nothing I guess. Would never recommend this place. read more

I had the rear toe links on my Ford Explorer replaced by this dealer. The dealer let the car leave without any alignment and did not tighten the adjuster nuts. I drove the car for about 1 month and noticed how twitchy the car was and how off my steering was. I brought it back to the dealer and said I wasn't sure if they had hit a curb or the new links had caused the steering to be off. The service writers laughed in my face and said they did no such thing. I came back the next day to speak with the owner and he blamed me for the alignment being off. I took the car to Bull Valley Ford in Woodstock, IL and they said Harvard let the car leave without even doing an alignment and they didn't tighten anything down. My new tires are also warn uneven now and Harvard isn't willing to do anything about. Probably the worst dealer I've ever been to. Thank you Bull Valley Ford for your help in correcting my cars alignment! Do NOT go to Harvard Ford. read more

An exceptional experience from beginning to end, the entire staff redefines the car buying experience. We were recommended by a family member and decided to take the over hour drive from Chicago. On arrival you quickly realize you can throw out all past car buying experience because the entire staff will be courteous, attentive, welcoming and make you feel comfortable. The entire time we felt stress free, never pressured - we were meticulously asked what we were looking for and they got to work on delivering on our requirements. When we found what we were looking for and decided to move forward, they made the negotiating process dare i say enjoyable. As usual, Angelo is courteous and attentive. Never acts as if any question is a waste of his time, or dumb. Service is done in a very timely manner, and I never feel as if I've been pushed towards services or products I don't need. Oh, but I wish they had decaf coffee!! or some caffeine free pop in the waiting area. We also own two trucks 2008 F250 and 2012 F150 (both bought at Harvard Ford) and the service on those is also impeccable. The buying experience is also just as fabulous. I really enjoy the team at Harvard Ford and although we love our trucks, I just wish I were happier with my 2011 Edge. My next car will probably cause me to have to use another maker's service center, because it won't be a Ford. :( read more

We have purchased three vehicles over the past four or five years through Harvard Ford. Very nice people, polite, courteous and always a stress free experience. My father 75 and retired wanting to purchase a brand new Yukon I called Harvard Ford they transferred me to Harvard GMC... I dealt with Martin the manager and did everything over the phone painlessly... So I wouldn't have to drag my father in and out several times at his age. No going back and forth got the exact Yukon the exact color they're bringing it to the lot... Getting it all cleaned up and ready for us to purchase the next morning. I got the exact vehicle my father wanted at the exact price he did not want to go over. I really appreciate Martin doing this all over the phone with me to help my father out. Harvard is the only dealerships I will ever go through and we will be back in the spring to purchase vehicles for work. Class act my ass. I made the mistake of buying a car here, never again, two months after buying it its been nothing but hassle after hassle, I have not looked into my options however Im almost positive I'm screwed and got screwed with no lube, they left out certain details about the car I didn't find out about till afterwards, everything in the interior to electric has failed, and wouldn't you know the warrantee they gave me only covers the engine and trans which they knew I would not have a problem with. Whatever I take this as a lesson learned as I was a noob when it came down to buying a car from a ford dealership. Zero stars in my book. read more

I had an issue come up with my door latch on my Ford Fusion. My husband and I brought the car to Harvard Ford right before the Service Department closed on Wednesday. They called me Thursday morning to explain what the issue was & hoe much it would cost. They called me before noon on Thursday to say it had been repaired. Even though I did not buy my car from them, Harvard Ford was wonderful & I will be going to them in the future for my oil changes. Great service & reasonable price! read more

The Thursday before memorial day, my wife and I made the 2 hour trip up to Harvard Ford to look at a particular Fusion she was interested in. It was farther than I wanted to go, but she was looking for an uncommon options group and this was the best looking one of the bunch. There are certain things you expect when you buy a used car, so I was willing to look past the salesman dangling a lower price and then saying he couldn't get it past the sales manager once he knew how far I had come for the car. I could look past the sales manager telling me he would find an antenna mast before he had the car delivered and then delivering it without one. It's only a $20 part after all, and I should have gotten that promise in writing. The real problem came during the inspection when I realized the interior door lock switches didn't function. The sales manager promised (in writing) that he would have the door locks fixed and then deliver the car to me. The car was delivered the next day, and on memorial day I noticed that although the driver's side door switch now worked, the passenger side still didn't. I called the dealership the next day to see how they wanted to proceed, suggesting that they let me take it to a closer dealership or come pick it back up for me. They had, after all, agreed in writing to fix the power door locks. The sales manager said I couldn't take it to a closer dealership as they (Harvard) would get a bad deal on the repair, and that the only way they would look at it again was if I drove it 2 hours back to Harvard. This obviously wasn't acceptable to me as they promised in writing to fix the problem before delivery, and over the last month I have placed 4 calls to the dealership to resolve this issue, none of which have been returned. This is my 7th Ford/Lincoln vehicle and my 1st bad dealership experience. Do not take the risk of dealing with these guys, go to a reputable dealer instead! read more
