In addition to local and national beers, the menu is an excellent combination of old and new school pub food. Fish and chips of course are there of course (which my son devoured), as well as steak fillet sandwiches. I opted for the West Cork burger, and my wife the Mediterranean plate. The menu does change periodically, but I am assuming that whatever they serve will have the same high quality. If you happen to be in West Cork, Scanners is definitely worth a stop.

No worries, we struck up a conversation with a local, Luiga(sp?). It's a cool place. And I suppose if it were a weekend, it would be great. But tonight, well it was unfriendly and not very welcoming.
