I came in to get a wash and style. My hair felt dry after the shampoo, but I thought after the blow dry it would get better. It looked ok the first day, but by day 2 my hair was a frizzy mess! My blowouts last me a week and this one lasted 1 days. read more

My first visit to Hart Studios was a pleasant experience. Alex was kind and made me feel welcome. During that appointment she retouched my gray roots (but omitted my sideburns) and cut my hair. Although the haircut ended up much shorter than I had requested (even though I showed her a picture), I truly appreciated her friendly demeanor. Unfortunately, my second visit for color was extremely disappointing. I spent a long time explaining exactly what I wanted, and just as importantly, what I did NOT want. I specifically said to avoid red, yellow, and brassy tones. Sadly, the final result was the exact opposite. My hair ended up with noticeable red, yellow, and brassy streaks that looked nothing like the natural, elegant color I had requested. And once again, my sideburns remained gray, as she did not fully cover them with hair color. I truly believe she is a kind and courteous person, and this review is not about her character. However, based on my experience, I don't feel she has the level of expertise in hair coloring that I was expecting. I read another reviewer's comments about Alex not being able to achieve the hair tone she had requested (after several attempts), and I thought perhaps this client was just being overly critical, but I was wrong. I'm leaving this review because I believe it's important for future clients to know about my experience. That said, I'm willing to give Alex one more opportunity to correct the color. If she is able to achieve the result I originally discussed, I will gladly update this review to reflect that positive experience. read more

This was my first time at Hart Studios. The communication before hand was prompt and friendly. The ambiance and overall design of the shop is bright and fresh - a welcome change from other salons. the murals are amazing. Coffee upon arrival in a cute mug (cute mugs overflow my cabinets) was a gold star for me. I gave Nicolette my vision and she executed perfectly keeping my hair type and current state in mind. Pricing was competitive and reasonable for the amount of time she spent with me (she did not rush us!) I booked my next appointment on the spot. read more

I have been an Aveda salon client for almost two decades. I have super resistant grey hair and am very particular about highlights and haircuts. From Chicago, LA and to Cypress, I have tried many Aveda places. This is one of my most favorite salon. Alex did my root touch up without me giving her my formula. That was surprising! With my resistant hair, most stylists cannot get it right at the first try. They either do it too light that barely covers the grey or too dark that makes me look 10 years older. Not the case with Alex. The root touch up blended in perfectly. The face frame highlights were so beautiful. She also tamed my puffy, crazy, thick hair by doing the layers right. The price they charged was very fair. People in the salon are all very nice. I like the happy and positive energy. I am happy to have found a new home salon here. read more

First time visiting this salon. First of all, it's so cute! I love the lay out of the chairs. Almost it was packed, it didn't feel like that and I was still able to have a conversation with my stylist without hearing everyone else's business. The staff was so friendly. Hannah was my stylist and she was amazing!! She paid attention to everything, including the way I part my hair. I've had stylists I've gone to for years that couldn't remember where I did my part but she just paid attention. She was so sweet and she did a perfect job with my cut. The salon is super cute, the couple of stylist we use are very nice , kind. friendly and deserve a chance to get it right. Alex has done my hair a few time, it just not right to my liking. Either too dark or now too yellow. I asked her not to change the color just add my highlights and lowlights leave shade the same so it is not yellow, orange or dark . Some stylist shade is slightly warm not sure everyone opinion is different. I love Alex she so sweet and she cares, believe she will get the shade. The only reason for 4 star the shampoo, toner or maybe not totally rinse out my scalp itchy after. I schedule high/low highlight and cut, but only got the highlights, stylist said no Low lights needed. I skip the hair cut since I was out of time, had to leave 4 hours was all the time I had before needing to be elsewhere. I do recommend the salon it is very nice and they work hard. read more

Everyone there is great. My Mother is 96 years year-old, it's not always easy to schedule an appointment for her and sometimes when I call at the last minute, they're always so helpful to try get her in. I appreciate the staff and that they do. read more
