First, I have to say that NOT ALL LAW FIRMS ARE THE SAME. There are many attorneys and law firms that will take on a case and treat you like a number. Not with Hart & David. This firm goes above and beyond in making you feel attended to and cared for throughout your case. Their customer service is exceptional, their attention to detail is impeccable and their response time is unbelievable. I was in constant communication with the firm and knew what was going on every step of the way. My interaction was mainly with my attorney, Joel Funk and the staff who aided in working my case. Joel was always on top of everything and constantly kept me abreast of the progress in my case. He offered guidance without being too pushy and helped me understand every aspect of my settlement. All my questions were answered and all calls were returned in a quick and timely manner. I would get personal calls from Joel and follow up calls from the paralegal who aided in all the paperwork. I didn't think it was possible to deal with a law firm that was so on top of everything. I wanted to take the chance to update my original review of this firm in order to explain the circumstances that brought me back as well as the tremendous results that I, again, received. Basically, I needed a referral. I had gotten in to a traffic accident that resulted in a ticket on the same day that I was going through an awful business dispute with an ex-partner of mine. Long story short, while in the car - waiting for my ticket - I immediately called the firm and was able to kill two birds with one stone. First, Jonathan gave me great referral to the Ticket Clinic who he mentioned they have used several times for other clients. As a direct result of the referral, the ticket was dismissed - see the picture - and I didn't even get any points on my license. Second, he was able to walk me through the various options I had before me when it came to my partner and we were ultimately able to come to a reasonable settlement that got me away from my partner and on to bigger and better things. I was looking for an attorney to help with putting together an estate plan that would make sense for my life. One of my relatives recommended Mr. Herpy's services and I set up an appointment to visit his Downers Grove office location. The receptionist (I think her name was Sara) was warm and helpful in finding a convenient time to come in on short notice. The office environment was friendly and comfortable. As for the services, he recommended that I create a living will as well as set up some trusts for my wife/children in order to avoid probate issues. Highly unethical law firm. Corresponded with a Mr. Jonathan D. Herpy Sr., a shareholder at the firm who continues to make obligations in writing during disputes that he then does not adhere to nor even follow up on at all. After multiple followup attempts, and ZERO response, this seems to be the firm's standard practice.
