Sean is the bee's knees. As a first time buyer, I needed someone in my corner and Sean truly was. I went through the ringer on a few properties for a variety of reasons and Sean was there every step by phone, text, and email. He has a high degree of expertise and well as a true service orientation that makes him very easy to work with. I really felt that he cared and he never made me feel like I was interrupting more important things. He was honest, straight-forward, and accommodating. Another plus is there's one flat fee--no nickle-and-diming (that is saved for the closing which cook county, the state, and the loan company fill with nonsense fees!). Sean made sure all of those were in line at or before the closing. The buyer's attorney was prone to slow/ snarky responses, laziness, and sloppiness, so I consider myself especially lucky to have worked with Sean. She certainly cost her clients money with the delayed responses (as they were paying a mortgage on this empty place) and rush fees for documents. Do yourself a favor and work with Sean when you buy. I found this lawyer to be a rude and condescending towards everyone in the closing. Obviously his mother never taught him rudeness reveals character. Felt sorry for his client but at least he apologized for his lawyer's attitude. read more

I am a first time buyer, and I honestly know nothing about the law issues regarding the home purchasing. I need someone professional that I can fully trust. Sean is the guy! Sean explained to me every items in the legal documents with patience and in a way easier for me to understand. There were a huge bunch of documents at the closing table. Sean went through every page and every items carefully. He figured out several mistakes made by the title company and helped us save another $2000 just at the closing table. After a recent relocation from Denver to Chicago, I was reminded of the importance of not just having a competent real-estate attorney, but having a real-estate attorney that is willing to go the extra mile for his/her clients. I suppose there are real-estate transactions that go off without a hitch, but when things get difficult, you need to have the right attorney - the one that truly acts as your advocate and in your best interest. Sean IS this type of attorney. You expect your attorney to be knowledgeable about the process and easy to work with - without a doubt Sean checks these boxes. Going above and beyond, though is where Sean truly sets his service apart from the rest. Throughout the process, Sean had to work with a very challenging seller's attorney, yet remained very focused on the goal of a successful closing. On many occasions the seller's attorney was slow to respond or did not respond at all. One would think both attorneys would be working "together" towards a common goal, but in this case, Sean gladly took on the brunt of the responsibility to ensure we got the documents/information we needed. As we all know buying a home is a very emotional decision. The day before closing we discovered the seller's attorney, once again, did not deliver one of the key documents required for closing. Sean thoroughly explained my potential for risk if I closed without this document, but at the same time (understanding how much I wanted to close) continued to work with my agent, my lender, and the seller's attorney to find a solution. In the end, Sean's persistence resulted in us getting the required documentation from the seller's attorney - eliminating any risk for me. During the actual closing, Sean did a fantastic job of reviewing the myriad of documents - explaining to me the key points of each one and most importantly catching a number of errors that needed to be corrected. I would have assumed by the time of closing all the documents would have been checked and re-checked for accuracy - not the case. You need to make sure you have an attorney that actually takes the time to review each and every one! Finally, Sean had spent considerably more time on my transaction than his initial fee warranted. Rather than simply charge me an hourly rate for the additional time, Sean had a conversation with me and we agreed on a fair middle-ground. Sean was more concerned with having me as a client in the future and building a long term relationship, which I was very impressed with. In all of these ways, Sean went above and beyond what I would have expected - it's why I'll continue to work with Sean in the future and would highly recommend him to all of my family and friends! read more
