If you enjoy watching movies and various TV shows on DVD this library has a huge selection of many…read moreof the latest available. You can check out most of them with a reasonable length of time to allow you to view them. There is also a program for kids almost every day either at the main or one of the branch locations. https://www.oldhampl.org/children.htm

I forget about the library. I get all caught up in the tactile overload of Barnes & Nobles (pretty…read morestationary! coffee! flashy book covers!) and the book snob in me LOVES judging a book by it's cover - then bringing it home to keep forever and ever. And read once. Maybe lend out a time or two. Haul it around in a box from one stop in life to another. Then sell in a garage sale decades down the road for 50 cents. My budget and my brain don't always agree with one another. So when I don't have pocket money for flashy book covers and coffee I home brew my own and head over to the OC main public library. Where they've got not just books but CDs and magazines to rent. Where they'll hunt down a book and get it in within days if it's not sitting on the shelf (or, in a rare instance, even purchase a brand new book just for me). And it's all free, minus the late fees that I accrue like it's going out of style. But trust me, six months of racking up late fees MAYBE equals 2 fancy B&N coffees, so I think I'm still ahead. If you haven't been to your local library lately - go. Try it out. The more we patronize these services the better they'll be. Your wallet will give you a big thumbs up too, it's a win/win.

This is a great library with a lot of resources to offer! I remember going here as a kid with my…read moregrandmother, and I still enjoy visiting to this day! There is both a children's section and adult section, so there is something here for everyone! There are also computer stations for individuals to use during their time at the library. Another thing I love about the Huntingburg Public Library is all of the programs it offers to kids in the community! They have maintained an outstanding "summer reading" program for years, which is a great way to keep kiddos reading during their break from school! The staff is great and so helpful! If you have any questions or are seeking suggestions, I encourage you reach out to them; they are so knowledgable and eager to serve! All in all, this is a great public library and has so much to offer to Huntingburg!

Back in the day libraries were a place you were told to be quiet and respectful of others. The staff here must be incapable of using their inside voices. They talk at loud levels amongst each other, to patrons and when on the phone. This building carries sound that travels to me wherever I am in the library that detracts from my work, but I still give it 5 stars solely for the fact that it's here, and I'd rather have it than not!
