We opted for the office closest to our house which is the Fairdale branch. There are plenty of free parking spaces in the lot. Once we entered the office the waiting room was full. We took the next number which was 39 and found a seat to wait. The number being served was 17. It was about a 45 minute wait. Daymara was the clerk who assisted us. She was friendly, polite and effieient. She had to fax the info to Frankfort to have the title released from the finance company and said it would take 5 to 10 minutes. She asked us to step aside so she could assist another customer while we waited for a response from Frankfort. Once she finished with the next customer she promptly called us back to her window and completed the necessary paperwork and we were done. Kind of a hassle to spend an hour when our transaction literally took 2 minutes but that is the process.

So, it really surprises me when I read some of the negative reviews. The employees have been very friendly, explained any relevant information in a clear and concise manner, and provided all necessary information (when items were missing, etc.) to quickly close gaps on what I needed to get accomplished. They have always been incredibly patient and often offer smiles. Some visits have been busier with customers than others. Regardless how busy they've been, it's always been obvious that the employees work diligently and as quickly as possible to meet the customers' needs and to move onto the next. The visits and wait times have never been excessively long. They provide 5 stations to take exams. The main waiting area has plenty of seating. There are two places where photos are taken - maybe one for driver's license and the other for state ids. There are approximately 6-7 employees to help with all the BMV needs. The parking is not bad. The parking lot isn't huge, but I believe is adequately sized for them. It sort of sits on a hill, so it can be a little awkward maneuvering in / out of spaces.

The facility itself looks well-maintained and professional from the exterior, with clear signage and a clean, orderly appearance. This update reflects the changes that have been made due to the Covid-19 pandemic. First of all, no I do not frequent the Sheriff's Department because I'm in trouble. I make an annual visit each year in October to pay our property taxes. It's always an easy procedure to climb the grand Court House stairs, walk to the end of the main floor hallway, enter the office and carry out my business. This year I wasn't sure if any changes would be made due to the up surge in Covid19. I still got a parking spot in front of the Court House, climbed the front stairs, and walked to the end of the first floor hallway. Upon entry into the office I experienced the only change. A nice plexi glass partition had been installed on the counter top with cutouts to hand paperwork through. In front of the counter was a long table lengthwise that assured customers would not be too close to the window. I handed my tax bill and check to the Sheriff and he promptly rang it up, stapled the receipt to the bill and handed the paperwork back to me I'm paid up for another year. Thanks for making this process so easy.

My 3rd born daughter was attending her first dance class across the road when we decided to explore the area. This freshly updated and nice library was open to 8pm so it made a perfect spot to to waste some time and have a bit of educational fun for me, my wife and other 3 daughters. Very spacious and well organized library. You walk In to a large area with computers and seating and the rest of the sections are around that area and clearly marked and separated making it easy to find your area. We had our younger ones with us so we found the adorably decorated young children's section in the very back corner and let the youngest play and look at books while we relaxed on the chairs. Overall nice library that offers everything from books, computer access, musical cd, dvd, blue rays and more. Very sleek and spacious and updated place. My daughter appeared to enjoy dance so this may become our hang out spot on days she has her practices.

Card holders can use computers for 60 minutes. You need to bring your own headphones. They offer printing services for a small fee. The children department is upstairs. There is an elevator.
