Outside of hotel belies the beautiful rooms within. Rooms and everything in them were tastefully done to the smallest detail of toiletries, deep tub, kitchen, gas fireplace & ease of streaming entertainment! Beds, including comforters, pillows, mattresses were of obvious high quality. Even the room temperature was perfect without us having to do a thing! I decided on this hotel after looking at the pictures on Yelp as well as on the website. The rooms looked updated and clean. I booked directly on the website and chose the Lakeview room. I loved the view from the bedroom. You could see the lake without walking out to the balcony. We decided to sleep without the curtains drawn so that we could enjoy the scenery. The air conditioning was also powerful which was so needed during the hot summer day. As it was covid-19 pandemic while we were there, safety protocols were in place. I appreciated the contactless check in and check out, plus hand sanitizer by the elevator on every floor. We had to bag our used towels and linens when checking out but it was understandable. The bathroom amenities were from OrganiQ which was my favorite brand. I loved the lemongrass scent of the body lotion. The bathroom was also clean, likewise for the rest of the room. Tea and coffee (Keurig) were provided though we did not touch it or any of the items. Covid-19, you know. The bed was soft, good if you prefer that. I had no issue with the noise and could sleep through the night. My friend was sensitive to noise and could hear everything -- doors opening and closing, people talking etc. I heard nothing though. So this could be something to consider if you are a light sleeper or hate sounds. The staff was excellent. We parked our car for $5 at the back parking lot, and the staff allowed us to leave the car there for a couple of hours after we checked out so that we could grab a quick bite and also shopped a bit. Very sad visit this time around. This used to be one of the best hotels in Harrison Hot Springs. It seems to have been neglected over the past five years. I'm hoping that management will do some serious repairs when everyone gets back on their feet. Pros: location is excellent, right on the beach walk with good parking behind. Room setup is great for a long stay with separate bed area and living/kitchen facilities. Nicely furnished with good amenities. We had a Mountain View over the parking lot and town. Cons: steep cement stairs are hard to navigate to get bags into hotel. Fire doors on stairs don't close well. Walls and windows are thin, so we heard people upstairs, outside in parking lot and hot tub. read more

I have no idea why this place is rated high. First off we must address its still a season of Covid! Front desk after bringing up cleanliness issues with our room concluded our room wasn't properly cleaned. My dog was found eating another dogs bone, dirty cutlery and dishes and even old cleaning products that weren't thrown out (we weren't given any scrubbies to even wash our dishes with). We asked but they said they had none. We also asked for more blankets and towels and had to wait a few hours just to receive any because of their understaffing. So let me get this straight. I could have paid the same amount of money for the 4 seasons in Whistler and get 5 star service yet I chose a place with a lake and get a dump who can't even provide proper dishwashing supplies besides a tea towel and a well cleaned room. Hmmm. Now let's discuss the dirty cutlery. Are they aware that the health authorities of BC actually says all cutlery needs to be either ran through a dishwasher or professionally cleaned? Upon leaving the front desk lady was terribly grumpy and after hard work of explaining ourselves we only get $75 off our entire bill. read more

It was back to Harrison Hot Springs recently, and we lodged here our first night. Like last year, we arrived during another very busy & active weekend in Harrison -- it was Sunday, and the second day of the '2018 Sasquatch Days' -- unexpected, but yeah!! lots of fun and excitement to catch our attention for much of the day. As during previous stays at Harrison Beach, we had chosen a Mountain View room -- they're located on the back side of the hotel, and for us, are quite perfect - offering up some familiar city views in the foreground, mountain peaks in the background, and providing more peace & quiet than the Lake View rooms located on the front side. We were located one floor down from the top this time - a room we had stayed in before - and high enough to have a nice view from our balcony. The room and amenities provided no surprises - as during previous stays, everything was there, and in order. Note: the rooms are large, beds are very comfy, and having the weiting desk & chair, and dining table & chairs, adds a big plus to the overall comfort. Desk staff, as per past stays, were friendly, personable, and accommodating. Another great stay -- enjoyed our room, it's amenities and balcony, plus, the pool and hot tub downstairs. Wish we had planned to stay longer, but heh, that's to be put into the planning of our next Harrison trip. Looking forward to it!! read more

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon in the Lake View Suite. Make sure you get a room on the lake view side of the hotel, as the mountain view side is the side of a nearby building. The lake view on the other hand is BEAUTIFUL! Amazing view, the staff was pleasant and friendly. The room was clean, the place had all the amenities we wanted/needed. And a bit more than we expected. Our room came with a small kitchen that consists of a microwave, mini fridge, toaster and hot water heater. It also had plates, utensils and even some bakingware. I would highly recommend this place both for the view, the service, and the fact it was quiet, not overly busy, and relaxing. read more

Yes, I'd say for the price and location, it's a solid deal. Staff are both friendly and helpful. The rooms are decent, an update in the next 3 years are likely in order. The town is quite. Most everything is closed by 11:00pm. This hotel has its own hot-tub that also closed at 11:00. Restaurants and liquor is near by. Decent outside parking lot, if you want under ground, it's an extra $10 a day. read more

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. I booked my room 2 weeks prior to the stay paying EXTRA for a balcony suite with MOUNTAIN view but instead I got the room on the first floor and we didn't even have a mountain view. We had a view of the parking lot. Whats the point of getting a balcony suite if you cant even go outside. Like we couldn't even have the blinds open without people staring into our room. If we knew we were gonna be given the worst room in the hotel, we wouldn't have paid extra for the "upgrade" nor would we even want to stay at this hotel. What pissed me off even more was that someone who walked in got a MUCH better room than I did, as I booked two weeks prior to my stay. The room we stayed in didn't even have proper locks. For one, the front entrance was missing the second lock and the fact that we were on the first floor made us feel less safe, and the washroom lock wasn't even working so I didn't feel safe using the shower when anyone could've walked into my room. We even got a package where it came with complimentary breakfast and we asked the front desk how much the voucher was worth and they told us $30, but when we went to Suzy Cafe they said it was only $27, so we had to pay EXTRA. read more

As my girlfriend and I enjoyed a promenade of the lakeshore, an endless stream of pedestrians-laden with beer and other lowbrow tipples-made their way past us towards the Harrison Lake Resort & Spa, after having delved heavily into the wares provided by the local liquor store. Later that evening, my girlfriend and I enjoyed our wine in front of a glowing fire, accompanied by a little Paganini over Shaw's Stingray Music, and felt blessed that we were not going to be subjected to the hell that would soon ensue at the Harrison Resort & Spa when all that alcohol that we saw transported took effect. The evening passed in complete amity due to the fact that our stay was not disturbed by drunken revelers, or armies of feral children running amok; all de rigueur at the other Harrison Lake establishments. Our room was comfortably appointed, very tidy, and modern. The staff was present, polite, but not intrusive. The view from our suite was delectable, and the visitors surrounding us were quiet and respectful. As a quick means to escape the terrors of the city, or for a romantic stay with one's partner, the Harrison Beach Hotel is the only game in town, and many orders of magnitude better than the experience to be offered at the Harrison Lake Spa & Resort. read more

I booked a 1-night stay here as my boyfriend and I were attending a wedding in Agassiz. So glad I chose this hotel instead of anywhere else! The front desk girls were friendly and informative. We were checked in super quickly. We got to the room and it was spacious and clean. Even though we didn't have a beach view room, our view of the mountains was lovely. The beds were probably the comfiest hotel beds I've ever stayed in and that alone would bring me back. Couple things to note: The elevator is painfully slow for the lack of floors. I ended up taking the stairs 90% of the time. Also, the underground parking lot is not worth staying in if you have anything bigger than a car. It's super small and cramped. We were in a truck and although we just barely met the height requirements, there was no chance we were going to be able to park without making tons of maneuvers. It's about $5 to park outside. One thing I found was a huge issue, not just for the hotel but for all of Harrison, was the lack of cab services. The only cab company we could find was Cheam Taxi. When I called to get a taxi, they said it would take about an hour to an hour and a half to get here because they're based out of Chilliwack. We ended up having to drive to the wedding venue and leaving our vehicle there overnight, which defeated the purpose of us paying for parking at the hotel. read more

Don't expect to get a quiet sleep. This hotel has zero sound insulation. I could hear everything from people walking around upstairs, to my neighbours talking, to water running all throughout the pipes. Throughout the night, talking in the hallway could clearly be heard in the room. And, this morning, the housekeeper knocked on the neighbours door at 7:15am and started talking, and just that woke my family. This rating is a 2 and not a 1 because it's otherwise a clean hotel in a good location. read more

Loved it when we stayed twice in the 4-5 star past. This most recent three day stay was wonderful for the first two days. Third day smokers moved in below us and we are highly allergic, had a bad asthma attack, had to keep window shut from then on instead of enjoying lake fresh air. New people upstairs were so noisy, clump clump clump in shoes til 3am no sleep for us last night there. Not returning until quiet and non smoking can be assured. Positives: staff is wonderful, from cleaning crew to clerks, this hotel is very clean, newer with well appointed rooms. But staying at the big hotel until they get these matters in hand. Feeling upset we paid full price for a full night of aggravation, discomfort and inconvenience. Clerk offered no compensation whatsoever. read more

Shockingly bad service! I originally thought it was inconceivable that a hotel could have such rude and unempathetic service. We were just looking for resolution to a problem we were having there and both 3 different hotel staff (including the manager) treated me and my family the same way: cold, curt, and like they just didn't care. The more I thought about it though (after we left very upset), they're the only hotel around there, so they have no competition, and therefore no motivation to have to do well at their job. You're forced to deal with it or leave. Just an awful experience. If you're planning on staying here, I highly encourage you to read the reviews here and on Trip Advisor. I'm definitely not the only who has shared this horrible experience there. read more

We stayed at the Harrison Beach Hotel on our first trip to H.H Springs. 3rd floor lakeview suite WITHOUT a balcony! When I booked the room, it was noted that all suites had a balcony, so we were quite disappointed. I brought this up to the staff and a young man promised 15% off the stay, which I did not receive upon checkout. That being said, the room was very nice and clean, awesome bed. No amenities at this location, but also far less children and mayhem than at the Harrison Resort. Would stay again but make sure that your suite has a balcony when you book. read more

Had a great one night stay here on New Years Eve. We got the lake view suite which was pretty much like a studio apartment with a huge patio. Alanna checked us in and was great! She found us robes to use when we used the hot tub and we were even able to check in early and check out a little later. The suites are modern and have interesting historical photographs of harrison on the walls. Only complaint was a dog that we could hear barking a floor above us. We let the manager know and she was very professional and apologetic about the noise. read more

I booked a room here for a weekend getaway for my girlfriends birthday. I was originally looking to get a room at the Hot Springs Hotel, but as they were all booked up I settled for the Beach Hotel. What a blessing in disguise that was... I payed a llittle extra for the Lakeview Junior Suite and it was well worth the money. The suite was immaculately clean, spacious and had modern decor. Best of all though was the view, waking up and looking out of the window to see the lake and the snow covered mountains in the distance was a real treat. Check in and check out went seamlessly, the girl at the front desk was pleasant and friendly without it seeming forced and fake so no complaints there. The only issue we did encounter was the heat of our room... it was scorching when we first walked in. I don't know who had the bright idea of turning the heater to full blast, obviously it was an issue that was easily solved I just thought it was an odd thing to do. Anyway, great hotel that I recommend highly. We had a great night away from Vancouver and would definitely return one day. read more

We made a reservation for two rooms this past week. Pictures on line of hotel looked nice but then we got there the room and hallways were very cold, room was not nice and had a weird odor. We were offered another upgraded room that wasn't any better. So they end up charging us $50 per room since we cancelled. The woman at the counter said we'd be refunded but then was told no they would not refund our money. This hotel is not at all what it posts on line. Do not stay there it is a terrible place. read more

Very nice and spacious suite rooms. The lakefront balconies are worth the price. Also loved the fireplace, and if you're staying a while the kitchenette is a good way to minimize the overpriced restaurant meals in Harrison. Pool is small but OK, heated to 84 degrees (could have been a tad warmer on a cold evening). It's a bit of a hike from pool to hot tub but the hot tub is nice. Four stars rather than five because the clerk at the front desk was subpar. Very slow checkin, and when we asked her about the discounted public pool tickets offered on the hotel web site, she had no idea what we were talking about--very strange. Lobby is small and there isn't a lot of counter space in the bathroom. However, beds are super comfortable, sheets and bedding are excellent (as are towels), water pressure in showers is terrific and there's a nice (though not well organized) selection of movies to rent for $2. Overall we were happy despite a few minor issues. (Note if you're a family choosing a suite for privacy, the bedroom area doesn't have a door.) read more
