The Harris Teeter in North Ridge Shopping Center is a larger store and is a busy one. Thankfully, there is a large parking lot so there usually isn't an issue to find a spot. Customer service is really friendly and patient. I had been shopping here for years but will not be anymore. I came in here on the morning of 12/17/24, I shopped and put all of my groceries in the cart. At check out there is black lady named Zandra that all of sudden appeared and stood there, she then tapped security and looked and looked at me, as if saying look out for her. This is the second time this happened from the same lady so I know it's her having an issue with people who look a certain way. After feeling totaled uncomfortable I advised that I did not want my items at all. I told the store manger but she didn't seem that interested, she was getting ready for her visit from the higher ups. This is a horrible representation of the Harris Teeter company. Wow!! This place has definitely gone the wrong way with customer service. I haven't shopped as often as I did before there, but today will be the last time I set foot there. I'm at the deli counter waiting patiently for my turn in there was 3 people waiting as well. The young lady behind the counter absolutely did not take any effort to acknowledge any of us. Neither did the other three employees behind her. They where in this whole conversation with in each other. Not sure what's going on, but we don't have time for this BS. This is our local Harris teeter that we visit once a week. The parking lot is always easy to get in and out of and there are always available parking spots. The pharmacy department is very helpful. I used to live within walking distance to this HT and it was my go-to supermarket because of its selection, and it's deli department. I moved across town and it's still my go-to. I'd pass 5 other supermarkets if I had to in order to come here. I mentioned the deli and, as a transplanted New Yorker, I love the fact that I can get Boar's Head cold cuts and I do once a week to make sandwiches to bring to work. They occasionally have combo Boar's Head sales like the BH Trio which is 1/2 lb. of 3 different cold cuts (2 meats and a cheese) for $10! My only criticism of this store is in the training of the deli counter employees. Too often I'll get home to a pile of shaved meat or cheese that's stacked in a way that makes the slices stuck together. As other reviewers have noted, the staff is extremely friendly and the store is clean and welcoming. read more

What's not to like? Great selection! Friendly staff (always! I do believe Harris Teeter requires it) . They keep it clean and well-stocked. Plenty of already-made items of good quality, nice deli, great meat selection, nice cheeses, well-kept produce. Parking lot is way too small (as are most grocery store ones), but they do a good job of keeping up with carts. For an every-day grocery shopping experience in this area, you can't do better. Enjoy shopping here occasionally! I love Fridays subs specials and Saturday e-Vic sends you the free stuff. My family loves the super double coupons. I used to buy the ready-made Asian rice bowls but they don't make it anymore. I like how they added a pizza place now. I have been a loyal HT shopper at this location for many years and have noticed a steady decline in customer service over the past 2 years. I suspect this is a reflection in management change? This store has trouble keeping the shelves stocked and the produce is no longer the top quality I have known in the past from HT. Also, they are carrying less of the brands I have purchased from them in the past. Often there are only a couple of lanes open in the busy afternoon so that the lines are longer. The manager was completely dismissive of me after I tripped on a rumpled floor mat in their produce department. It's a nice open store and most of the time very clean with a couple of stand out associates. I have always loved shopping at this HT, but lately they are just missing the mark. She is always friendly and obviously takes pride in her work. Unlike some other HT deli personnel (W Millbrook location) she neatly stacks the sliced meat and cheese in the bag and hands it to across the counter with a smile - EVERY TIME. I absolutely love this Harris Teeter. I come here at least 2/3 times per week even tho I forget to check in or write a review. The staff is always so friendly and helpful and I know where everything is located so I don't have to spend a lot of time walking around the store. I typically do self check out but when I do interact with the cashiers they are always friendly and happy to be of service. I also love that the store stays open 24 hours which means I can come in and shop at 5 am while the family is sleeping. read more

Harris Teeter (HT) is a grocery chain located heavily on the east coast, especially in the south east portion of the US and headquartered outside of Charlotte, NC. While it's owned by Kroger as of 2014, it runs its operations separately and if you keep reading, you'll understand why. Kroger is experiencing plummeting sales, evidenced by their closing several stores this year (2018) and last while Harris Teeter is enjoying tremendous growth as it continues to expand in what is called, "high value communities." Yeah, that's just fancy talk for saying they are only interested in "neighborhoods where people earn lots of moolah and like to spend it at high end stores!" Even so, I love Harris Teeter grocery stores. I haven't been to one yet that disappoints, including this one. HT always comes through. I can always count on finding most of my rare food faves and that means a great deal to me and my family. That includes foods like: - A vast variety of cheeses over by the deli, - Stunning desserts in the bakery cases, - Newly released items on the shelves, - Fabulous selections in the frozen aisles, -Great sushi that can be ordered, pre-packaged or made in front of you - Show-stopping hot food like ribs, pizza and chicken - An amazing salad bar with all the salad fixings you could ask for Yes, I could go on and on because all of that and more are right there for our purchase and enjoyment. Great service is probably their motto at HT! They are one of the few markets that will still carry your groceries ot to your vehicle and refuse your offer to to tip them! (EXPERT TIP: If I ask for help on a carry out to my car, I will still offer the employee a tip and even though they will not take it, I simply express my sincere thanks. If you're in a rush, you can download the HT app and simply place an "Express Lane" order for any and EVERYTHING you want in the store right from your computer, tablet or smart phone! For example, you can place your order in the morning and pick it up, without getting out of your car, on the way home from work. Whoa, mind blown, right!? But wait, it gets even better. You can try what I do weekly and just have your HT grocery order delivered via SHIPT! Now, tell me, who can beat that? Now, let me tell you about the stores in more detail. The bakery is amazing. Check out the desserts, breads, etc. as the items are always fresh and look like they are photoshopped bc they look so perfect. No kidding! The bakery team is always so helpful & accommodating. They will even try to help you with reasonable last minute requests like personalizing a cake or icing some cupcakes. All of the other departments are equally amazing. From the butcher, the seafood counter to dry goods, the entire team is there to enhance your shopping experience. Look for different foods and give them a try! It is completely possible for a great grocery store to open your mind to new foods, cultures and products. As such, HT is just the kind of store that can do that. Another piece of advice. Get yourself a "VIC Card," for their loyalty discount program. It will save you hundreds over the course of a year. You can use your VIC card in 3 ways, in the store in person and online on both the HT & SHIPT apps. Moreover, HT will accept competitor coupons and will double the face value for kidsy coupons too! I didn't realize how crazy expensive Harris Teeter got over the past 10 years, but alas this is the case. I came in here because I couldn't find HobNobs chocolate biscuits anywhere since they are quintessentially British. I found them! I bought 2 overpriced boxes, but I don't even care because I have been craving them and they are still cheaper and quicker than ordering online. This is my neighborhood harris teeter and I always choose this location unless it's raining (I'll go to north hills because they have a garage) but the store is always very clean + organized and the bathroom is the same way. There are always people around to help answer questions unless you are in the dairy area and I can never seem to find anyone. The customer service is always there as I get money orders from here. The staff is always very pleasant and we normally have an awesome conversation while I am checking out. They always have a basket with sale items near the body care stuff and it's always reallly reallly cheap. The parking is good because it's inside of a shopping center. They also offer veterans parking and parking for parents and children which I thought was an amazing feature. They always have samples out to try through out the deli department. I has just gotten off work and stopped by the harris teeter on 6024 falls of the neuse rd in raleigh, nc store # 344. I had a total of 13 things in my cart so I went to self check out, 10 of the things were exactly the same. 10 diet mt dews 12 packs, so I asked the self checkout cashier if she could scan one and put it in as 10. They can do it in the regular checkout lane, so why not here? I've been to this location many times and usually do self checkout and they have done it before at this same location in self checkout for me. She told me she couldn't because of inventory, I told her its been done before at this same location. She went to go ask customer service if she could do it and she claimed they told her no. So she told me she could transfer my items to her register and do it that way. Instead she rang them up each separately. I have never been treated so rudely before at this location. I don't understand what her problem was this night. I got cash back and she asked how I would like it then told me so only had 20's, this was after she had opened her register and looked in it. Why would you offer to break it up if you knew you didn't have anything in it to break up? Her name was Briana A. What if i had 20 limes are you going to tell me you can't ring them up together that you have to do it separately? I stopped in before a party and was able to get arraignments for several tables. I honestly didn't have very high expectations but the floral section in Harris Teeter far exceeded them. No matter which Harris Teeter and in multiple cities and states, it always seems to happen to me. Probably my favorite HT in the area besides Cameron Village. It's big, has plenty of parking, and friendly employees. Items are generally in stock, unless they're having a really good sale or triple coupon week. If that's the case you can usually tell what's the best deal from the end of the aisle just by looking for the large empty spaces on the shelves. I've left disappointed a number of times because of this, so make sure to get there early for that stuff (or find out when they restock). The layout of the store is comparable to CV, but reversed. The biggest exception being that they put the beer/wine in the middle of the store instead of over near the other beverages and snacks. read more

Shrewd comments were made by two male cashiers my first time and twice now the same cashier has refused to acknowledge me and left me to re-bag items in ripped bags. I just ate my life's most horrible wrap ever from here.. It sounded awesome- smoked salmon bacon wrap- but it was bad bad bad! Was old too! My opinion of this store tends to sway. It's always crowded with people who seem to have affinities to stopping their carts in the middle of aisles to chat and/or letting their children run wild. But that can be avoided by going later at night when the walkers have ebbed and the minivan moms have taken their broods home. The store itself is clean and laid out well enough. I can usually get in and out pretty quickly. And the staff is nice. It may sound like a strange compliment, but the cashiers bag groceries very well. I like my meat to stay together, cold food with other cold food, boxes with boxes, and cans with cans, etc. It just makes transport and putting groceries away easier, so I appreciate the care they take when bagging. read more

What an awesome and well organized grocery store! I came in to get items for one meal and left with much more because everything looked so appealing! Clean and well stocked (unlike Lowes Foods) with samples out and plenty of associates ready and willing to Assist you. Multiple times I was asked if I needed anything. My only complaint is I needed turkey breast cutlets and they were out... I didn't think that was a specialty item coming from my favorite grocery store ever from my home (Wegmans) I guess I'm spoiled. However, the meat guy offered substitution suggestions. I never thought I would like this Harris Teeter better than the other one located in Falls Pointe, but now I do. I still enjoy the other one but this one is much closer to our home. Always great customer service and help if needed. Management is always great too. I tripped and fell because the floor felt waxy a few months ago. The manager took my number and called me in the next few days to make sure I was okay and to see if I needed to see a doctor. (Fortunately, I did not!)
