This is the dumpiest Harris Teeter I've been to in a long time. The store itself looks like an old design from the late 90's that hasn't been touched since then, and the feel of the store is the same way. It's definitely not the experience you expect from a Harris Teeter (which is a middle-higher end grocery chain in my mind) but they don't discount the prices any for that. As a grocery store it's perfectly functional with none of the additional features I've come to expect at this chain, like a bakery for example. read more

Just had the worst experience here. I left my new debit card at home that came in the mail yesterday & the Cashier, Micheal told me he would hold all my groceries in the freezer for me until I came back. I came back within 45 minutes or less with my card I don't see Micheal' at his register so I go to customer service and tell them I'm here to pick up my suspended order. They tell me Micheal started putting my order away. & I'm just completely shocked because he ASSURED ME that he WOULD HOLD MY GROCERIES UNTIL I CAME BACK. I wasn't even gone 1 hour and he put them all back and he told me his shift doesn't end until 10pm, it was 6:30pm. EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING SERVICE. I passed 3 grocery stores on my way back here that I could have went to instead but I didn't want them to have to put all my items back so I didn't. So I drove past 3 grocery stores for no reason because my order was being put back by Micheal the same cashier that told me he would hold all my groceries with a smile. HE'S A LIAR. read more

Harris Teeter - Feather deep fried Chicken in a bucket - Grocery Near Me - Concord, North Carolina

You come to expect a little more from Harris Teeter than most other chain stores with the exception of THIS location. I was treated rudely by a customer service manager for no reason. I was in line behind a lady with a huge amount of merchandise and a fellow with just a few items. I, myself, only had four items. They obviously didn't have enough cashiers working. The lines were backing up. A customer service manager came over and started ringing up the guy in front of me at the next register over. I moved over, with my four items, to the line she just opened. She raised her voice at me and informed me that she wasn't open. She said "I am juss pulling, stay over there, I'm juss pulling." I'm not well versed on grocery store lingo but I could read her body language and attitude well enough to feel unappreciated as a paying customer. I was nice to cashier in spite of feeling miffed by my experience. My cashier asked if I found everything okay. I simply said, "yes." I wanted to tell her that I could not locate several items that I searched for. I wanted a jar of minced garlic and a package of unrefrigerated grated coconut. I couldn't find them I also couldn't find anyone to ask where they were located. That's okay. Since I disturbed the witch that was "juss pulling." I will take my four items home and make do. The entrance of the store is dirty and the aroma of fish slaps you in the face when you walk in. I go there anyway because they have some items that other chains do not. The meat department guys are usually nice and helpful. The bakery is nice. Regardless of how nice certain aspects of the store are I'm not going to subject myself to being disrespected. read more

Harris Teeter, hands down is one of my more favorite grocery shopping locations. They are earned this distinction by being one of the few major grocery chains in the nation that puts their money where their mouth is by having two reserved parking spots for veterans along with the necessary and earned parking spots for handicapped and expecting mothers. In addition to having a wide variety of foods fruits and vegetables, they have an excellent Deli selection that makes lunch on the Run stops like I'm making today extraordinary. Perhaps it's the northerner in me but I like stopping by once or twice a week for a sub sandwich, and Harris Teeter complies with the specials of the day for $3.49 for the 6-inch sub, which is overwhelming with meat selections. Today I'm tickling my fancy with a 6in club sub with more meat in my mouth can handle. I've found the staff of Harris Teeter is also to be friendly, extraordinarily knowledgeable about where things are, and a delight to have a conversation with. While shopping at Publix still rates high with me, the edge towards veterans recognition, and excellent customer service rates Harris Teeter with the 10 out of 10, folks should hurry on in. read more

Harris Teeters located in Concord North Carolina, went to this store on 6/5/20 around 6:00pm parked in the parking lot area that is on the side of the building where parking is located, I come out the store, noticed 2 grocery carts 1 flipped on the ground, and the other 1 rammed into my got damn CAR....I called the cops and informed the manager, i was told in order to pull so call cameras a police report had to be filed. well guess what? a police report couldn't be filed because no cameras are on the side of the building where parking is, hmmmmm so it's easy for anyone to do anything to someone car and for thieves to steal and run out and jump into their car only if they park on the side of the building. I am pissed, and I will be filing a BBB complaint along with a consumer's complaint, because at the end of the day, my auto insurance will have to cover this, I will NEVER SHOP AT HARRIS TEETERS EVER AGAIN....SHITTY STORE... read more

This Grocery store is your only option for 24hrs in the area unless you want to go to Walmart (which I don't). The service is what you should expect from any Harris Teeter: Friendly staff, well stock departments, clean facilities, and typically good prices. Unfortunately I tend to stay away from this location due to one reason. This store is one of the oldest Harris Teeter stores in the area, which normally wouldn't be a bad thing. However, due to the older metal truss style storefront, there's apparently a problem with birds nesting in the trusses, creating a mess. What is Harris Teeter's answer? A very loud, high-pitched speaker that deters birds. I believe these are supposed to be ultrasonic...but it's not, it's extremely loud and deters customers too. My girlfriend can't go with me to this store due to the noise. I really wish Harris Teeter would do something about the bird noise device. Who knows, this may be the only solution that works, but I sure would visit this location more often without it! read more

Ok no Publix no Fresh Market , and no Whole Foods . So I go the HT this HT has got to be the worse HT in the entire chain. You know the free samples ? I Love it and normally it makes me buy the item! But, this store is so nasty I am afraid to taste anything. You can tell when the trash cans are over flowing and the bathrooms are so strong of urine that it would not be impossible if they where cleaned THIS WEEK! Produce department YUK dodging items on the floor to keep from slipping. And those well stocked shelves NOT . ALL THIS IS COMPLIMENTED BY THE FANTASTIC SERVICE IN THE FRONT OF THE STORE ! The manager Troy is amazing! Something happened to my fruit tray order so it wasn't ready when I was supposed to pick it up. I needed it for a party the next day. Troy made the fruit tray and delivered it himself to the party. He even threw in a bigger size. That is customer service! I even had some of groceries some how lost from my Cart to my car not sure how that happened . Went there last night but they were closed. Not sure why because it's suppose to be 24/7. It was late night though (2am) so maybe they were doing a reset or something. I'll never know because the employees inside never acknowledged my existence (they saw me, I know they saw me) I go here from time to time because it's on my way home from work. The customer service is usually very good although the lines are usually long, 2 cashiers & self check are all that's open. Do not get the sushi, it's never been fresh any time I've gotten it. The sandwiches are good though. The prices are high but they have great sales if you have a vip card. read more

Tyler waited on me and my elderly mother yesterday at customer service, he was very rude and hateful and bitched me out for bringing back an item that I couldn't use :( could u please inform him I paid for that item and I had spoiled milk a gallon from Harris Tetter and cheese I didn't bring back. The receipt was from June 23, 2018...not even that old we live in Midland NC and I actually couldn't get back after I found my item was ruined due to my car was in the shop. They say the customers always right but I honestly don't feel I had the right to get fussed at and treated like shit, he even kept my receipt and wrote on the receipt he was NEVER going to take any other items back I had bought from Harris tetter in the future...Now I'm scared to shop here and we shop here almost every single week. As always the folks at this store are friendly and professional. I had noticed there was a coffee creamer at another HT location that was 2 bucks regular price and they ordered it for me and now stock it everyday. Thanks guys. I usually deal with Randy early AM and he is always so helpful. I am a bit handicapped and sometimes I just run out of gas and he will get an item for me that's on the other end of the store. Please note that the negative reviews are from 2009! I shop at this Harris Teeter weekly. The store, ladies' bathroom (all I can speak for) and all, is squeaky clean. ALL of the personnel are friendly, knowledgeable and competent. I frequently see produce clerks pulling less-than-perfect merchandise from the bins. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that the prices are often still high, but, this IS a Harris Teeter. I find the sales and the selection to be worth it. read more

Lou Hurley has been my pharmacist for many years, she always concerned and very polite to me and my family. Truly hate to send out bad reviews but the last several times my children and I have been to this location. The staff have been rude. The presentation of the bakery is not the best. Especially if looking for donuts each time they look stale and it's very unclean so it's like why bother lets just go somewhere else!!! And about a month ago my daughter and I were waiting patiently in line. They only had 3 lines open it was a sun morning. Have no idea what was going on with registers but everyone on them were slow. But if there was a problem they should have been kind enough to let us know. All of us waiting patiently the employees stared at us in. Did not say a word not even the managers!!! They could have said we are having difficulty we will be with asap. Something!!! Not a single word. Our frozen food was melting we stood inline with one other in front of us for more than 10 min not a word at all from one employee!!! So truly sad!!! So we no longer shop at this Harris teeter at all!!! For further reference if this store actually reads these reviews --- Please take all your employees to the Harris teeter on George Liles parkway and see what a difference a clean bakery and polite and wonderful staff are like to help and assist customers!!!! May then quite a few customers (not only my kids and I but others) will decide maybe to shop at your store again some day!!! read more
