I managed to find a mattress I liked, but the prices elsewhere were out of reach. However, Whole House Fine Furniture's prices seemed to somehow have remained low. While they had a limited selection of mattresses, they carried some top end stuff including the one I settled on elsewhere (just for significantly cheaper). They even through in delivery. Worth noting that those delivery guys were on point. I felt bad having them climb 3 flights of stairs, but they were up with the mattress in no time. They even helped rewrap my old mattress and get it down to the street. While I haven't purchased anything else from Whole House Fine Furniture, they do have a huge selection of most any furnishings you can think of. We checked out a few coffee table options and might be back for one sooner than planned. I'd definitely recommend a visit if you're on or around Main Street.

Items were around the price you would expect so good pricing and with the added discount made it seem worthwhile. Delivery costed around $80 and covered both the mattress and sofa. They were flexible about delivery days and if you need a more specific time that isn't within a range of hours they are willing to help. Delivery was done professionally and can be scheduled within days (obviously depending on warehouse availability which I had no trouble with). The first sofa was too large for my apartment (I ordered before moving in) so they took it back and I went in and got a smaller one. They didn't charge extra delivery fee and were very helpful and understanding. Next one fit well. I would recommend this place.

*Warning do not shop here* Our couch was sold to ud damaged…read moreand was accused of breaking it ourselves. My fiance and I bought a couch from Samson furniture store. This is the second couch we bought from them. First one we bought about 4 years ago and the other one we just picked up today. Granite it wasn't an expensive couch. Under 700.00 but perfect for what we needed it for. When we got it back to the house we unpackaged it and put the feet on. when we flip up the couch and took a better look I notice a bow in the wood on the front piece and the springs pier to be popping up the cushions so something wasn't right. It wasn't something simple that we would be able to live with. We packed up the section that was broken to take it back. The manager accused us of breaking it and to make matters even worse accused my fiance of being "wacked out of his mind" because he told him after he accused us of breaking it, to give us a refund. So when he went back up with the other part of the couch the manager continued to accused him of breaking it and insist that he must of jumpped on the couch breaking it. Told him to F*** off in front of customers. That is No way to run a business. Apparently if someone wanted to return something they must be high. We are upset about how all this turned out and how he treated us.

We sat in almost every couch up the street at West Elm, and came away underwhelmed, seemingly a lot of furniture is made for just looks. We sat down in the first couch we saw here and the difference was like night and day - immediately it was clear Basset is still building furniture for human use. We ended up with a timeless looking sofa and ottoman in a sharp green velvet that we'll have to plead with our cat to maintain. The owner of the store is helpful, with a good sense of humor and not pushy. We walked away with a good deal without needing any holiday coupons or sales and no created urgency. Great to know they're right up the road - highly recommend for anyone in the area burned out with third party drop shipping and the glut of middling quality mid century modern sh*t.
