You have to use it to check out too, security is important. I went to their Thanksgiving buffet, everyone went to the first floor and got their food. The whole dinning room was open, so family could come visit their loved ones.

You could tell he really enjoys his job and every employee we talk with had a smile on their face. The entire building had a wonderful vibe and the residence we interacted with were so welcoming and friendly. We feel confident that if any emergency or care is needed, Mom is in the right place. It is now been a couple of months since she moved in and we could not be any happier. It has been such a positive experience and I would highly recommend Manor Village if you're looking for a facility that will treat your loved one like family. The tour and event was for learning about the apartments and the building and hallways reminded us of our college dorms and wasn't as modern and fresh as hoped for, although they have tried to make them more pleasant with artwork and decorative touches. The little lobby and common rooms were pleasant to get one out of the apartments and wait for friend or visitors, and the bulletin boards were full of activities. They were updating the apartments and they really make the best of the space. Many have sizable terraces, but the one we saw didn't have much of a view. The staff and residents we spoke with were all very upbeat and happy to be there talking about the events on campus, transportation to appointments and events off campus, and the comfort of being where a continuum of care can be provided. I am quite grateful for the good care I received from the nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and the outdoor grounds are beautifully maintained. However, there were notable areas that need improvement. There were times when the care staff felt stretched thin, leading to slow response times when calling for assistance. Furthermore, communication between the administrative team and family members could be improved. A major concern was the doctors, who visit the facility sporadically; my wife was never able to speak with them. The biggest issue was the performance of the physical therapy team. There was no set schedule whatsoever, and they often rushed through sessions in just five minutes, combining physical and occupational therapy together. I tracked each visit to the gym, and we never reached the expected five sessions per week for either physical or occupational therapy. While it is a nice facility with a caring nursing staff, closely monitoring the therapy department, staffing levels, and doctor communication would make the experience much better.

They provide no e-mail address, no complaint channel via e-mail, web or telephone, and no one on their executive team will either take a phone call or return a message. Sadly, we are going to look for another facility.

It is newly remodeled for the needs of an elderly person who just can no longer be home. It has a wide open floor plan that is very accessible and really looks like you are living in a real person's home and not a facility. The furniture and tables are are in warm tones of wood and corresponding colors. It has different areas for different functions and a wide open inviting kitchen area. There is a cage with birds to watch and aquariums. There is also a beautiful backyard with a walking path, putting green, and table where they have lunch when the weather is nice. The landscaping is beautiful. They also have a beauty parlor where the residents can keep up there looks. Does this sound like and group home you have ever heard about. I have never seen one like it. The care for the residents is so right on. The attendants are very loving and caring people. The also have different activities during the day. I've had to deal with assisted living before and I learned that the more you visit, the more attentive the staff will be to your loved one. I really believe that isn't a problem here. My friend has some problems that I don't believed were being followed up by the rehab center. They are doing this here. One more thing that I would like to say that is so exceptional about the Arcadia living branch of this company. The food is really good. I was at a their holiday party today and the food was excellent. What impressed me so much was my friend pointed out the shrimp and several other dishes that they served her during the week! I had a dear friend who was at an assisted living facility for people with Alzheimer's on 38th st and Bell. The food there was so unappetizing as to be pitiful. This is one area where they had found they could cut the budget and they really did. I am not saying a name but you can find a review I did if you care to find it. What a difference! Sad thing to say is that I don't think my friend will ever to come home. I also don't think she will see another Christmas. That may time maybe coming in the following year. So sad.
