I had rotator cuff surgery on October 2nd of 2025 and looked at my Physical Therapy options. I chose Harper Physical Therapy initially because they had the most flexible hours. I contacted Harper PT and they were extremely accommodating right from the start. They took care of all my insurance pre certifications, registrations, and was able to schedule my first appointment right away. I met with Leah, reviewed, my history, and discussed the process moving forward. All questions and concerns were addressed and Leah put my mind at ease. I was able to schedule my first few weeks appointments which for right into my schedule. Leah was awesome, highly experienced, and was able to put me though the necessary exercise's, pushed me at an appropriate level, not too hard, and not too easy. I was put through a thorough program and was provided with very clear instructions on what I needed to do at home to make certain I would stay on track. I was then introduced to Ava who was supporting me whenever Leah had to attend to other members. Ava was also phenomenal, very nice, friendly, and easy to talk to. There was never anytime where I was not being attended by a therapist and received personal one on one attention at all times. Harper PT had a number of therapist always willing to step in, offer support, encouragement, and direction. I noticed continuous improvement and progress from day one and after almost 3 months of physical therapy, I no longer needed to attend PT in person. I was provided with detailed instructions on the most important home exercises. 4 months after surgery, my shoulder is more flexible, stronger, and pain free. I cannot thank Harper Physical Therapy, Leah, Ava, and the remaining supporting staff enough and would highly recommend Harper Physical Therapy in Anthem to anyone needing physical therapy. Getting old ain't for sissies! Body parts seem to wear out sort of like parts on an old car. You fix one thing and another problem pops up. Over a year ago my left shoulder gave out. Months of preliminaries - drugs, exercise, rest, rotator cuff surgery and physical therapy. All of the usual doctor-directed things likely required by insurance companies before the "real fix." When it was finally determined a new shoulder was necessary and a reverse total shoulder arthroplasty (TSA) was performed I knew where to go for post-surgical physical therapy. You see, Harper Physical Therapy had worked with me before following unsuccessful rotator cuff surgery. This time around I was blessed to have Sasha Schippers, DPT (yes, a Doctor!) as the lead physical therapist guiding my recovery. Knowledgeable, compassionate and caring, Sasha worked with me for over three months to achieve outstanding rehabilitation of my new shoulder. From the moment I entered the reception area and met the always-smiling Anni Vogelpohl at the front desk the tone was set. Over the 3+ months of rehab I had the pleasure of working with nearly all of the therapists in the office. All are well-trained and eager to help. An atmosphere of focused professionalism mixed in with a dose of fun and encouragement motivated me to work hard and recover fully. Oh! Watch out for Diana Douglas - PT Technician. I've tried more physical therapy establishments in Phoenix than anyone I know. Harper Physical Therapy is, hands down, the best of them all. My therapist, Leah, is extremely knowledgeable, attentive and intuitive. Also, the assistants who help with the exercises are top notch. They, too, are extremely knowledgeable and attentive. They make sure that they are up-to-speed on my injuries and the state of my body today when they work with me. It is very impressive. The one complaint I have is the model that all physical therapy studios seem to ascribe to, which is to periodically have a physical therapist work on me whom I've never met. There is no way that that person will know my body as well as the PT that has taken my history and worked with me for weeks. I didn't volunteer to have someone new, nor was I notified ahead of time. It's a way they give themselves some scheduling wiggle room. It's helpful to the practice, but in my experience, detrimental to the patient. I'd had a bad past experience with physical therapy. I got my knee replaced last year and it came with a lot of complications. I'd heard only good things about Harper so I chose them to do my therapy. I was very impressed at my first appointment. Jennifer went over everything, all my medications, my history, and then we came up with a recovery plan. I've been a patient there for a couple months. I'm so happy with everything. The staff is a close team, who works together and puts the patients first. I'm amazed at how helpful and knowledgeable they are. I've noticed how important physical therapy is. I've gotten stronger, and feel so much better. I'm so happy I chose Harper, their facility is so clean and organized, and I never sit in the waiting room. I went to Harper Physical Therapy because of the excellent care and outcome my husband received after shoulder surgery and knee replacement. I was not disappointed! Candace was my therapist and I was in excellent hands. I had broken my arm at the shoulder, but after 3 months there had been no healing. I required a shoulder replacement surgery, after which I began to see Candace for therapy three times a week. It was slow going at first, due to the damage from the break, but Candace hung in there, working with my injury and encouraging me all along. After 6 months of therapy, I was pronounced ready to "graduate", and was sent home with a list of exercises to continue with at home. My shoulder has come a very long way, and I feel equipped to continue the therapy on my own. Harper's PT has always been my first choice. The staff is very friendly and caring. They have been very sincere from start to finish. They were patient and would accommodate my request to change my appointments more than once. Cody was very consistent in his efforts to make me feel better, with an exercise routine and deep tissue massages. He makes his patients feel comfortable and at ease. I feel so much better today (my last session) in comparison to the first day I walked in for my first session with Cody. Just finished my second round of physical therapy at Harper, first for a fractured humerus and then post hand surgery. I have worked with all the therapists at one point, but my main treatment was with Ty and Candace. Both are professional, proficient and listened to any concerns or questions. The techs, both Diana and Dakota were helpful, pleasant and efficient. The atmosphere in the facility is what makes it even better. I just completed 5 weeks of physical therapy with Ty Harper and the Harper Physical Therapy Team. I highly recommend this Physical Therapy group. The entire staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They are also all very pleasant people. They work around your schedule and Annie at the front desk seems to always get a time that will work for you. When I scheduled at Harper Physical Therapy I was SURE I would be needing surgery on my neck and PT was just something I needed to do before the insurance would apporove it. I worked with Cody for for a couple of months and to my surprise, all the pain I was having is gone! Cody took the time to really listen to what was going on with me and tailored my treatment to my specific situation. The PT techs I worked with were also very friendly and caring. My family and I have trusted Ty Harper and his team with different physical issues for over 20 years. They are so knowledgeable and continue to learn up to date therapies. I have personally had Total Knee replacements in both knees, the 1st in 2021 and now the second 5 months ago. I fell during camping last fall. Injured my back and shoulder. Pain got worse until I requested PT from the VA. I was so happy that I did because I was sent to Harper physical Therapy where I met many very nice and helpful people. Everyone was so willing to help me feel better which I do. My wife was injured by a hit and run pickup truck and was going to Harper PT for shoulder, arm, hand and finger therapy. I developed vertigo and started going there for balance and vertigo treatment. I recently went through therapy at Harper for my knee. I was impressed at how friendly the entire staff was. The work out room was never crowded with patients and I enjoyed the personal attention. Candice was excellent in monitoring my recovery. She worked out a careful plan throughout my recovery that challenged me and increased my strength through various exercises and machines. I left Harper Physical Therapy a couple of weeks ago. I won't be going back. While going through my stretching exercises, two of the employees were talking about one of the elderly patrons. Not only were they laughing at him, they were making rude comments about his married life. They weren't aware that I was so close. I wondered what they were saying about me. Adios Harper's. My experience was great. Michelle and all of the staff was so awesome. I was skeptical at first, not believing exercise and therapy treatments would help my back pain. I'm 75 and training for my first marathon, Honolulu Dec 8, 2024. In the middle of September, I suffered a hip injury that left me unable to run for about a month. I started working with Ty and his staff in mid October, was back running in about 2 weeks, and my pain has greatly reduced. Completed a 20 mile training run a week ago and have high hopes to finish.
