My parents had their taxes prepared by Mallari and Associates last week, and after a great…read moreexperience, they suggested I meet with Joanne. As of an hour ago (on 4/10/2019), my taxes are done and I could not be any happier! Joanne is incredibly friendly, personable, and professional. She knows what she is doing and has been doing this for years. I was originally scheduled to meet with her yesterday, but after I was pulled for an urgent last minute meeting, she gladly accommodated my request to move our appointment to 5pm today. In just under an hour, my taxes were e-filed and at a very reasonable rate. Being relatively young in my career, I also appreciate her willingness to provide me with invaluable financial and investment advice. Joanne is a licensed CPA with tremendous experience in the industry, so she is someone I can certainly learn from. When it comes to money and taxes, we all need someone who is knowledgeable, honest, and thorough to guide and help us. Whether you seek tax preparation, accounting, or financial consulting services, I highly recommend meeting with Joanne.

Worst Experience EVER! I went in today to file my taxes - I expected it to be busy since it was the…read morelast day to file so I decided to get there early. I arrived at about 8:20am and got in the line that was formed outside - I was the 8th person in line and I had my 2 year old son with me. At 9, Noeni the receptionist/Owners daughter - comes out and starts taking peoples information down. However, instead of letting everyone in, they leave everyone in the sun for another hour and finally let us in at about 10:10. After going in, we all sit down and wait. Throughout the time I was sitting there, I observed Noeni respond to a few customers rudely or made unnecessary comments like "you shouldn't have waited until the last day". At about 11:30 my son starts crying - probably frustrated and tired since he is 2 years old. As I was working on calmly him down Noeni (in front of everyone) rudely tells me that I need to wait outside. AWESOME tell me to wait outside in the hot son with my 2 year old. I walked out thinking she would call me when they called my name but NO. I ended up calling my sister to pick up my son after she left work. She picked him up at 12:15 and I went inside to ask when will I be next since I kept seeing people coming out who were there later than I was and she starts looking through all the tax preparers papers and proceeds to tell me that they were calling for me and that I would be next - I said "next as in now or how much longer do I have to wait" and she said "well there is someone here so you have to wait" and I said "well yeah you kicked me out and couldn't even call me in" and she said as soon as he is done you'll be next. I waited outside again and if it wasn't for this nice lady (customer) who came outside and told me that they were calling for me. NOT EVEN NOENI bothered to come outside to tell me. I was not mad about having to wait - I know I went on the last day, but it was the treatment I received. I work in customer service and I would have approached the situation differently for one talking to me with a little discretion instead of embarrassing me by kicking me out in front of a lobby full of people, she could have told me "Hey I see your son is frustrated, if you'd like you can take him to the car and give me your number I will call you once they call you" but nope she kicks my son out like if he was an animal. If it wasn't for the time I had already waited there, it being the last day and for Marco who prepares my taxes - I would have left. I get it - it may be an overwhelming day for her, but you work with people not animals. I will never be filing here again. Which is unfortunate because Marco is GREAT. But I will not to give money to a business who treats people that way. Noeni, work on your people skills because you have a disgusting attitude and approach.

If it wasn't for Mifra I'd probably still be owing the IRS money for something that my last preparer missed. I started working more freelance jobs and opened a new small business, not only have they filed my taxes but they've provided me with much more knowledge and advice about what I can and cannot write off as a freelance photographer when I book trips or even buy my equipment. Many of these things were never even asked about by all my previous preparers. They explained how beneficial annuities would be and now that I always have a return thanks to their expertise I can use my money to save up for later in life. As a small business owner I am always more than happy to support local mom and pop shops who care to help you over making a few bucks from you.

I believe she needs to hang up the boots already.

I did my own taxes for the past two years thinking I was saving money but always had to pay so much to the IRS. I talked to a friend who is also a business owner and has been going to Su taxes for the past couple of years and she recommended making an appointment with Ann. Well, I went and I ended getting back some money instead of paying because Ann asked many so many questions that I had over looked when doing my own taxes and she explained things thoroughly. I felt so good knowing that it was done by a professional. I'm done doing my own taxes after this experience. Thanks Ann for all of your help. I've been telling all my friends to come see you and will see you next year ! Also they had refreshments & the receptionist was super nice !

I WILL NOT RETURN! I've been a loyal customer here for over a decade, but after tonight's…read moreexperience, I won't be returning. I had an appointment scheduled for 6:30 PM, yet walk-ins were continuously taken ahead of me. After waiting for two hours, I still had not been seen. At one point, the front desk assured me I was next, but another full hour passed without any update or acknowledgment. It's incredibly frustrating and disappointing to have an appointment disregarded like this especially as a long-time client. If you're UNABLE to manage both appointments and walk-ins effectively, then you shouldn't be accepting walk-ins at the expense of scheduled customers. Respecting clients' time should be a basic standard. Unfortunately, that was not the case tonight. I ended up leaving and taking my business elsewhere, and I won't be coming back. EVERYONE looked flustered and stressed out. I wouldn't trust someone doing my taxes if they were acting like this because they can easily mess up numbers. I'm also leaving a google review. And let me add before the owner tries to respond with some BS. This was a day before the tax deadline. It doesn't matter if it's the same day. Do not OVERBOOK if you can't handle the workload and do not take walk in's before appointments.
