I was referred to do my taxes with Melvin at Melvin Mora and associates Inc., and he is a very professional, caring, and knowledgeable accountant. This guy is the real deal, he is very experienced and definitely knows what he is doing. He does it all, he's an accountant, paralegal, notary public, dabbles in real estate. Everything in my tax return was explained in detail and reviewed with me, and he answered all my questions patiently. Also, the company is very reliable. He does services over zoom if needed however his office is covid safe! Melvin, Marco and Yaretzy are extremely helpful and professional. I got married here at the office, got my and my mom's residency, do my taxes, fixed my husbands IRS debt, all with them. They do ongoing consultations with me for my corporation. They are a full service office. Their location has a chapel, 2 sitting/waiting areas. Kids corner, bathrooms, coffee and water station, television. AC, plenty of parking in the front and back, super flexible hrs. They are very accommodating. It is sad that I have been going here for the last 15yrs and this last year I decided I would not go to this company anymore due to their continued extended time frames and stories that just didn't match up as to why their advertised "rapid refund" was no where near rapid anymore. I decided to file on my own this year since I would end up waiting anyways. Well now that this company has gotten my stimulus funds they are saying that if you don't file your taxes with them this year they will not provide you with your stimulus funds!! They first stated to me on 3/15/21 that my stimulus was going to be issued to me later in the week, I checked back on 3/17/21 and even spoke with Mr. Melvin Mora who stated they did receive the stimulus payments to their 3rd party business account and they are issuing the funds as quickly as possible, NOW I checked back today 3/19/21 and spoke with Melvin Mora again and today he is telling me the account they received the stimulus funds in is NOW CLOSED and if I don't do my taxes with them I will not get my stimulus from them because they are now sending it back to the IRS..........I'm so sorry but WHAT!!?? I suspect some type of fraud and I'm a very long time customer so I am so very disappointed and disheartened by this horrible business practice!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE save yourself the headache and find another place to do your business!!! This company is not worth the headache!!! read more

This place is the most expensive place to do your taxes for being a simple no body business. I was charge way more than I should have just do conduct simple taxes and at the end I don't trust that they did a good job that I have to go some where else to have them fix. Most of the time I was there there computers kept on shutting down making very annoying to have to wait longer. This will be the 1st and last time I conduct business with them.
