Insurance, income tax, notary and DMV services all in one place, no need to go wait in line at the DMV.

Worst Experience EVER! I went in today to file my taxes - I expected it to be busy since it was the…read morelast day to file so I decided to get there early. I arrived at about 8:20am and got in the line that was formed outside - I was the 8th person in line and I had my 2 year old son with me. At 9, Noeni the receptionist/Owners daughter - comes out and starts taking peoples information down. However, instead of letting everyone in, they leave everyone in the sun for another hour and finally let us in at about 10:10. After going in, we all sit down and wait. Throughout the time I was sitting there, I observed Noeni respond to a few customers rudely or made unnecessary comments like "you shouldn't have waited until the last day". At about 11:30 my son starts crying - probably frustrated and tired since he is 2 years old. As I was working on calmly him down Noeni (in front of everyone) rudely tells me that I need to wait outside. AWESOME tell me to wait outside in the hot son with my 2 year old. I walked out thinking she would call me when they called my name but NO. I ended up calling my sister to pick up my son after she left work. She picked him up at 12:15 and I went inside to ask when will I be next since I kept seeing people coming out who were there later than I was and she starts looking through all the tax preparers papers and proceeds to tell me that they were calling for me and that I would be next - I said "next as in now or how much longer do I have to wait" and she said "well there is someone here so you have to wait" and I said "well yeah you kicked me out and couldn't even call me in" and she said as soon as he is done you'll be next. I waited outside again and if it wasn't for this nice lady (customer) who came outside and told me that they were calling for me. NOT EVEN NOENI bothered to come outside to tell me. I was not mad about having to wait - I know I went on the last day, but it was the treatment I received. I work in customer service and I would have approached the situation differently for one talking to me with a little discretion instead of embarrassing me by kicking me out in front of a lobby full of people, she could have told me "Hey I see your son is frustrated, if you'd like you can take him to the car and give me your number I will call you once they call you" but nope she kicks my son out like if he was an animal. If it wasn't for the time I had already waited there, it being the last day and for Marco who prepares my taxes - I would have left. I get it - it may be an overwhelming day for her, but you work with people not animals. I will never be filing here again. Which is unfortunate because Marco is GREAT. But I will not to give money to a business who treats people that way. Noeni, work on your people skills because you have a disgusting attitude and approach.

I love them but I will admit, every year, maybe I forget it on purpose, that it truly sucks to go there on the day of my appointment. The experience is not very pleasant. If you are ok with that, then this is your place. Good thing they are truly great at what they do. Tips to prepare you: 1) Make sure you are dehydrated; 2) Be prepared to stand for a long time; hopefully you don't have a disability; 3) Bring a form of entertainment for hours for yourself and/or kids; 4) Be prepared to suffer with your children and hate being an adult, and; 5) Bring snacks (not water). Trust me. No water. If you are pregnant, God help you, since you have to go to the restroom often. I learned that lesson, I had to go to the nearest grocery store and that looked worse than a jail cell. I'm lucky I didn't catch some nasty ass disease.

Villegas & Associates - Receptionist area

Ben or Benny Villegas is VERY friendly, funny, witty, cognizant, & professional!…read moreHe will assure you to get the best claim on your tax filing. One note, though, their office hour has changed since the pandemic. If you can't find live operator, leave a voice message, & they will try their best to reach back at you. The receptionist, Ms Nancy, is really good at that. As you enter air conditioned "Villegas' crib" through the humongous, heavy-set double-doors, the friendly receptionist Ms Nancy will welcome you with a broad smile, every time. At which point, you may even hear Ben conversing with the clients with a chortle here & there. The deco for the waiting room is rather modern and clean-crisp look. His fee is pretty reasonable. For a straight forward tax filing like mine, his fee was $350. A consultation with him will cost you, perhaps, at least another $100. It was a no brained - worth it for me. Rumor has it that, he has a decent collection of liquor. He may like you even more if you bring him a liquor or 2 as a gift. Salute!

I encouraged my son and daughter-in-law to also try them for their tax preparation. They are more angry than I am as his incompetence cost them thousands of dollars. Villegas and Associates has lost all three of us as clients. We were assigned to Orlando. Orlando can do a basic return, but the slightest issue seems to create problems for him. He is less than enthusiastic about finding ways to save money for his clients. You are expected to know exactly what you can write off. He never makes suggestions to help you find tax savings. The client is expected to know the tax code and what expenses may be available to itemize. He entered the incorrect information about an EV. He got the make and model wrong despite having the purchase agreement with all information clearly provided. It should have been a four thousand dollar rebate. Since he did not enter the correct information, the rebate was denied. He said it was my daughter-in-laws responsibility to call the IRS to straighten it out. I knew this was wrong and spoke directly with Benny Villegas about this and several other issues of concern regarding Orlando. Mr. Villegas agreed that it was Orlando's responsibility to file an amended return. He ASSURED me that he would have Orlando complete the return in order to obtain the rebate. He also asked for email evidence of other issues that we discussed. I provided the email the following day with a cover letter reiterating our concerns. It has been a week since our meeting with Benny Villegas. He did not respond to my letter. He did call my daughter-in-law to arrange a meeting on a Saturday morning. Orlando was at the meeting, but Villegas did not participate. Orlando seemed more interested in how many times my daughter-in-law attempted to call IRS than correcting his error. To date, she has no knowledge that he has filed the amended return. He claimed he was going to send the amended return AFTER he spoke with the IRS. However, she is unaware if the IRS has received the amended tax return. According to the IRS website, Form 8936 was improperly filled out due to the wrong make and model information; action is required to correct it. There is no further information. A follow-up call to the office revealed that Orlando hasn't worked all week, and there was no information available about her amended return. Neither Orlando, nor Benny Villegas has communicated with her. The level of incompetence and utter lack of disregard for accuracy is appalling. His refusal to take responsibility for his errors and his insistence that she correct his failures is unprofessional and unacceptable. According to an email that was circulated to his entire client contact list, we are not the only clients who are choosing to take our business elsewhere.
