I figure if I have allergies (and in Cincy, who doesn't?), then I might as well get paid for them. On the initial visit they do a skin test to make sure you're allergic to any grass, ragweed, animals, etc in order to qualify for the study. The next several visits consist of reading a standard eye chart, getting eyedrops of different dosages of allergens, and eye doctors examining your eyes every few minutes to evaluate the degree of allergic reactions. Very simple, no daily diary or medicines to keep track of like in other research studies, easy money. The drawbacks are: having to drive out to Fairfield mostly on weekend days, having to wait until a couple weeks after the study ends to get paid, and the study staff isn't very personable. For $600 though, it's definitely worth it.

The entire Apex Eye organization is Awesome!! I go through my appointments & surgeries knowing I am in good hands. When you meet people who go to the same doctor as you, usually you get an "oh I go there too". Not with Dr C - EVERY person I have met who also sees him or has seen him starts the conversation with "Don't you just Love him! He is the Best!" If you have eye issues, THIS is the place to go!!

Dr…read more Maryam Naqvi performed routine cataract surgery on my husband in May, 2025 at the Kenwood office. It was anything but routine, as she inserted another patient's lens into his eye, which was discovered during his 1week follow-up visit. She completed the replacement procedure for the wrong lens, but his cornea was scratched & iris torn during the process. A Midwest Eye Center Director performed emergency surgery later that day to avoid infection of the eye; and was under the Director's care for the next few weeks to monitor his eye healing. My husband is currently under care with different eye specialists as he slowly recovers. As Dr. Naqvi smiles confidently from the front cover of Cincinnati Magazine's 'Cincinnati Top Doctors' and on its pages. One has to wonder how she can be deemed "the best" having compromised her patient's well-being through a poorly mismanaged process of care.

When surgery day came his staff at Tri-State made it easy and relaxing, they were so professional helpful made me feel so comfortable and confident that i was going to be well taken care of! I would 100% recommend Dr. Cepela and Tri-State Center for Sight and his professional team to anyone. Oh and you can expect a call later in the day from Dr. Cepela to check on you! My sons appointment was at 4pm today. After waiting in the waiting room for 45 mins I get called…read moreback (mind you he is 6 months old and I had to hold him the entire time and he didn't like it) after I got back into the room we did the usual with the nurse. We were waiting for what seemed like forever until I went outside our room to find his doctor sitting there talking to another doctor cutting up and said she'd be in in a minute. Which turned out to be 15 minutes. We were not seen by his actual doctor until 5:40. After she finally came into the room she was very rude to me about the questions I had and half of them were left unanswered. We were her last appointment and she rushed out of the room for the nurses to come in and give him his shots. We were hardly with her for 15 mins. This was the second appointment we have had with her and honestly I'm not sure we will even go back. We were there for a total for 2 hours just for a routine check up. The nurses and girls at the front desk were great, the doctor Rebecca Koehl was not. Very unhappy.
