If you are looking for a decent place where you will be comfortable, is close to local attractions, but not needing a lot of frills, this should meet your need. I think however this hotel benefits from not having much competition in the area for a modern hotel with luxury amenities. On the positive side, the best aspects are that the location is in walking distance to everywhere you would want to go for downtown bars and restaurants and the waterfront view is spectacular. The valet and desk staff were also friendly and helpful. The view at the rooftop restaurant / bar is awesome. On the downside, there is a high level of noise from the street and from nearby rooms. The walls are thin, and I could hear people next door talking and in the hallway. Also, the sheets on the bed are thin like paper towel and I was cold and had to wear a sweatshirt to bed to be warm. The bed itself is hard, not firm, but hard. I do not know what the bed is made of, but it seemed like plywood. Bed was uncomfortable, so at the end of a long day I did not get the relaxation of a good night sleep. Also, the bath products were small in proportion. Hand soap was a like a sliver of what you would throw away when you get to the end of a full bar. I would highly recommend making sure you bring your own shampoo, soap, body lotion and whatever bath products you like because you won't have them at this hotel. One other aspect that was an annoyance and not a huge deal was the television. You don't need a lot of television on vacation but it was exceptionally slow to change channels and was making it difficult to watch any television, so I mostly just watched one channel. If you will not be spending a lot of time at the hotel, but looking for a convenient and clean place that is friendly and in walking distance to bars, restaurants and attractions I think you would find this a good choice.

We were surprised by an upgraded room - corner suite due to our special celebration. The room was amazing - spacious, comfortable and with a great lake view, a full and half bath. The workout room is small and leaves a bit to be desired if you are used to a gym, but does the trick for a one-off cardio or strength training. I would highly recommend the Delamar for a romantic getaway, a great place to stay for a wine tour on the Old Mission Point, a family trip, a work trip and more. He needs to understand food management and hospitality. At one point, I thought he was the customer-not us. The bar and restaurant folks are the opposite of accommodating. It's unfortunate as our group of 16 would have happily spent more money here than we did. The front desk folks were nice but no one was there to oversee the complete and undeserved treatment by the manager / security person while we were being targeted because he didn't enjoy that we were somehow not proper enough for his restaurant. Then he followed us around like we were some group of degenerates even after we left. The restaurant was largely empty. We were not rowdy. We weren't insulting the staff. The worst we did was send a soup back because it was cold. Yes, for $24 a bowl, the soup should be hot. Go figure. What a wet blanket on an otherwise fantastic weekend with friends. We will not spend another dollar in this establishment and I would encourage you to take the same approach. People come to the peninsula to have a fun time with friends, laugh, drink wine, and live it up. Get a grip Delamar or you aren't going to have to worry about large groups like ours in the future.

The fitness room was Prestine as well though I was slightly disappointed that a hot tub was supposedly advertised wish there is not but the pool has pretty solid hours too if the beach isn't your kind of thing. The lobby was cute and modern and had plenty of comfy seating options, small tables, foosball tables, 24 hr. complimentary coffee and tea and snacks, soups, mac 'n cheese, etc. and beverages for sale. There is a workout room equipped with treadmills, Peloton, elliptical, weights, mats, towels and water bottle filler. The front desk has complimentary ear buds if you need them. The beds were very comfortable and the room a have a blackout shade. Plenty of USB and plugs in the room. They have a smart TV so I was able to stream my Netflix and SiriusXM music. Even with a room facing the main highway it was a peaceful and quiet stay. I can't think of one negative about this hotel and would happily stay here again.

Don't book until you know how long you want to stay. No refunds. We had a one bedroom condo on the main level. Comes with one dedicated parking spot and extra parking on the west side of the lot. The styling is craftsman and is holding up nicely despite the harsh winters and water. Rooms are nicely maintained but the furniture is showing some wear. It was clean and well organized and it felt safe. Access to the beach is easy and each unit has a patio. Views are stellar and it's well worth the price. They come by to clean rooms and tidy up every day. The kitchenette is helpful and the fireplace is also a fun compliment to the space. Staff at the front desk is not award winning for personality but they got us what we needed. Bar was never open and the sister property down the beach has a restaurant and rooftop bar should you need that. We would return.

The road is not far away, but traffic was not bothersome. We stayed in one of the 2 room cabins the next weekend. (July 4th). The cabins are set back farther on the property. They seem secluded as you can watch the creek and sit on the porch under the big shade trees. The cabin had a kitchen, living room, 2 rooms each with a queen bed. Again the sink is outside the bathroom which I like as it is easier to share with others. There is free kayak use with your stay. What a bonus. Dave took great care of us and answered any questions we had. It was nice to not be stuck in a hotel room where others are walking up and down the hall and slamming doors. It was a treat to be able to enjoy sitting in the porch in the evenings. We would stay here again
