I'm new to the Cape and this is my first house with a sump pump, and I have three of them in my…read morebasement (I live near a pond). Apparently this is the time of year when the water table rises, and my pumps are on almost all the time and I was concerned with the noises so set up an appointment with Riedell. They offered to come out between scheduled calls (which I thought was awesome), but I told them it wasn't an emergency -- I just wanted an opinion from an expert. They scheduled an appointment for two days later, and the tech (Glen) arrived on time. He was friendly and professional and went to work studying all the pumps in the basement, as well as the pump in the septic system. Now he absolutely could have told me they all needed to be replaced immediately and I would have cut a check. Instead, he assured me they're all in working order and in good shape. As this was my first appointment, he also took a look at my other equipment (on demand water heater, washer hookup, main water line, toilets, faucets, and furnace), and gave me a solid walk-through, providing some thoughts on what I should be looking at over the next year or so. Even though nothing was wrong with my equipment, I happily signed the check for the visit. I have piece of mind and have found my plumbing and heating company.

I am disappointed I can no longer depend on this company who had previously provided exceptional service.

We contracted with A&L in early June 2018 to install Mitsubishi ductless air conditioning in our…read moreCape style house. We applied for a Mass Save Loan which took till the middle of June to get checks issued to start the work. After a one week slip in the first expected start date A&L arrived on Monday July 2nd as promised to begin the installation. We had wall units hung in 5 separate rooms tied into 2 outdoor condensers. Mark, the A&L technician, who worked the job from start to finish was outstanding. It was a hot and humid week but Mark put in full days Monday, Tuesday, Thursday And Friday only taking Wednesday July 4th off. Mark got one condenser with 3 wall units up and running by the end of he day Thursday and the other condenser with 2 wall units humming on Friday. The guy was working alone till Thursday when his assistant Chris arrived. That helped speed the finish of the installation. So far we love the way the Ductless AC is performing and very satisfied with our selection of A&L to do the work. Luke who I dealt with on the contract was very responsive, helpful with the loan process and kept me informed on their scheduling of my work.

I was initially pleased with their low key attitude, but now recognize a lack of professionalism…read more Indoor units were not level when installed, and it was a battle to get them straightened. I was never offered a yearly maintenance contract, and when problems arose, I was told I was low priority, had to wait several weeks or face a $300 priority fee. I questioned the price of a repair, and a new invoice was sent immediately for $200 more. I asked for a description and price of maintenance service, and was told that I should take my business elsewhere. Luke should not be in front of a customer, stay away.
