And their digital collection through Libby is part of the Beehive Consortium, which seems to have way more audiobook and eBook options than my own Sacramento County Library back home. Major bonus.

The selection of books here is wonderful! They have a lot to offer and are always updating the collection. Not only do they offer books of all kinds but the Orem library also has lots of extra collections including board games (free to borrow!), video games, movies, and an impressive "makers space" in the basement. They provide little to no feedback and disregard problems, while micromanaging staff without understanding their needs for the job.

I tried using self check out, but since it's been a couple of years since I've used my card physically at the library, it was blocked. I had to head to the counter, and they just needed to confirm my info was still correct. Super simple fix. They have a pretty good collection of new movies and If you sign up for emails, they will email you when they have new movies to rent. Every time we come into this little gem, the staff is always so friendly and helpful. They are operating limited hours right now due to COVID19, but they make sure their limited hours are posted on their website's front page. When you do return movies and books, the only way their taking it back is the drop box behind the library. They are not taking any returns inside. In addition, they are not taking any cash for payment for any late fees at this time due to the pandemic. What I also love about this library is sometimes they have donated bread at the entrance, free to anyone who might need it. At this time I don't think anyone is allowed to sit and stay (and play) inside, so they labeled their hours as "Grab & Go" while they are open. I have looked into their digital selection, and it would be nice if they can expand it. I've put in a few requests for movies that they do not have, but have not received any response as to them making any effort of carrying it. Room for growth!

Walking across campus, with the mountains towering in the background and the smell of freshly cut grass or melting snow depending on the season, it's like you're in a living postcard. The professors here actually care. You're not just a name on a roster--you're someone they expect great things from. And say what you will about the Honor Code, but there's a kind of clarity and focus that comes from being surrounded by people who are trying to live their values. Also, shout-out to the Harold B. Lee library. That thing is a fortress of productivity. I've never been more academically dialed-in than I was on the 5th floor during finals week with a Cookies N Cream chocolate milk from the Creamery in one hand and a stack of flashcards in the other. And then there's the people. You come for the degree, but stay for the lifelong friends, hallway chats, devotional takeaways, and yes--those divine CougarTails on game day. BYU shaped me. Spiritually, intellectually, even socially. Couldn't recommend it more.

The response from the administration, such as city police and campus security, felt overly excessive and dismissive of student concerns. They used excessive force on me and took my property away without a warrant. I exercised my rights. President Astrid Tuminez appears disconnected from the student body and has demonstrated some genuine care, but not really that much. The university should take accountability for how it treats students and ensure that everyone's constitutional rights are respected on campus. Don't waste your money by going here. I feel ashamed for every recommending this school to anyone. It's a scam because it's not a fun experience to go here, unless you want a police and corrupt politician nanny school and want to waste your time and money. There's many other low cost options out there. Please, learn from my mistake!!!!! Especially if you're a straight person and not LGBTQ. They will discriminate against your size and gender and call security on you and discrimante against your race.
