My 10 year old was/is a big ortho project, requiring Phase 1 treatment and will also need a Phase 2 as he gets older. For those of you with young ones, be aware that Phase 1 is sometimes required to avoid oral surgery down the road. Not only do his teeth look *FANTASTIC* now, but the empathy and professionalism Dr Harner displays is a 10+ out of 10. My child was highly discouraged after seeing his classmates removing their braces, and when an associate looked at his teeth and mentioned activating springs (yet again) and rubber bands, he lost it and started crying. The associate mentioned he wanted to consult with Dr Harner before moving on, and Harner took one look at him and said, "we can do the same thing using Invisalign type retainers and rubber bands. I've seen great results doing that. We can take the braces off; let's give him a nice break". I feel that doc is great at reading his patients but also well versed and up to date on current and available treatments. I find the office trustworthy. (As a side note, my 13 year old also gets ortho treatments at their office, but he's a much more mainstream case and doesn't require nearly as much involvement. Scheduling has not been an issue for us, and the pricing contract has remained consistent. I recommend this office, especially for children. They are in good hands. read more

I had a very pleasant invisalign consultation done here. I arrived to my appt and they immediately put me in a room to take pictures of my teeth and profile. The assistant was super kind, polite, and gentle. She placed a mirror in my mouth and took pictures of my teeth. Then I was seated in this huge machine thing that I believe took my profile pics. Then I was guided to the ortho's office and had my teeth 3D scanned which was dope. The technician tried to be as gentle as she could, but because of my wisdom teeth growing in and my narrow jaw she had to be a bit aggressive. Eventually she was able to get an adequate scan and I had to patiently wait for the ortho to come in. Ortho arrived and took a look at my teeth. He was able to identify all the cosmetic issues that would be fixed with the invisalign. He was very direct and polite about it. This entire process was pleasant and I highly recommend everyone try it. I hope to return to this office once I get the funds. It's much pricier than the other consults I had, but I feel like they are the most trustworthy. read more

This office is horrible. They don't even reach back out to you. First time I went here he couldn't even re send me my Invisalign plan.. (he only made it viewable once so I was requesting that he resend it.) On behalf of me and my family who was treated here: This orthodontist is similar to a puppy mill. All they care about is money, resulting in them taking patient after patient. They are so full and overbooked here you will be waiting in the chair for the actual ortho to see you for 30 mins+. They make no time for you and do not care about how your teeth turn out. I myself, was "treated" for an overbite. I expressed my concerns many times throughout my treatment process and they brushed it off. Two weeks before I got my braces off he told me, "my treatment plan is over (2 years) and paid off, so wear your rubber bands consistently (which I was doing) and we will take them off." The day rolls around I get my braces off, the assistant sees me and waits for the OK to take my braces off. I was waiting in the chair for an hour before he came. However he didn't even look at my teeth before giving her the OK to take my braces off. She get's to taking them off and since she is an assistant, she left an ABSURD amount of left over glue on my teeth. So bad that whenever I went to the dentist a few weeks later they spent and hour trying to scrape most of it off. (She was also curious who my ortho was). Anyways, he finally comes to see me, and I have gaps in my bottom teeth that I physically had to point out to him for him to notice. This is not an exaggeration either. Weeks prior I told him about this and he attempted to fix the problem, but it didn't work, yet i'm still somehow getting them off. My braces come off and they give me a clear retainer to wear. My overbite is still apparent so they give me trays to hopefully fix it every few weeks. (Why would they take them off if they're not ready??? )After I run out of trays, I didn't come back for a while thinking I was just forever was going to be displeased with how my smile looks. Then I realize I never received my permanent metal retainer to wear at night, which is why my teeth are shifting. Now because of this whole ordeal, I have not only spent a couple thousand on my braces, but will be spending more money getting Invisalign at another ortho. I had also previously left a voicemail hoping for them to get back to me, but the fact that they never responded just shows me where their priorities lie. So just to preface, they overbook people and the orthodontist's don't have enough time to care and look at your teeth. read more

Dr. Harner and his team are incredible! I was originally going to need braces for 2+ years because my teeth were so messed up. I really didn't want to do braces and spend most of my college years with braces so he worked his magic and put me on an Invisalign plan despite me not being an ideal candidate for Invisalign. I always wore my trays outside of eating times and sure enough, my teeth got perfectly straight in less than 2 years and by graduation day I had a bright, straight smile! After reviewing my billing I decide to schedule my next appointment the following week only to receive a call, after my appointment was scheduled, that I would need my wisdom teeth removed prior to having braces. I have brought all three of my kids to Harner Orthodontics over the past 12 years and even though I am pleased with the outcome I am disappointed with how the individualized attention has gone down. My oldest two came in when Dr Harner first opened his office on Main street over 15 years ago. Back then Dr Harner saw each patient in person and spent more time adjusting and fine tuning for a perfect smile. I'm yelping Dr. Harner because he went way beyond what most doctors would have done. Dr. Harner isn't even my orthodontist (mine is a 2 hr drive from my home) but my wire popped out from my back tooth (the most important when expanding the arch) and I could tell the tooth was moving so I took a chance and called an office close to my house. The staff, namely Courtney, was so nice and asked Dr. Harner if he could see me for a quick fix. This was his DAY OFF, they were not taking any patients. He said absolutely so I rushed over and he fixed my wire in no time. I wanted to pay but he said absolutely not. Not only did he fix my wire, but I also asked his opinion on what I was having done by the other ortho as I was questioning some things. He put me at ease and stated my doctor was performing the treatment that he would have carried out in my situation. I only wish I would have known about Dr. Harner before I started my treatment but if I ever need to return to an ortho after I am finished, I will definitely be returning to Dr. Harner. What an amazing practice, great office staff, beautiful clean office and service provided to an individual that isn't even a patient... WOW!
