Phenomenal veterinary hospital. The staff is incredible and the vet is awesome. Our corgi has always been very cared for at this location from anything like general check ups to illnesses to vaccines ever since he was a puppy. They are super affordable and the quality of care is immense. I know vet visits can be stressful for pets but our dog is always happy to come because the staff is always so nice and friendly to him. The vet is professional and has tons of experience. She will recommend the best course of treatment for your pet and give you great tips to improve their life quality. When our dog was a puppy, he had a ton of stomach and appetite issues, the vet took great care of him and even recommended a new food brand to help with his appetite which worked incredibly well. Our dog still eats this brand. The staff tends to remember pets by name which makes it feel like they truly care and listen. They are currently doing curbside appointments only for regular check ups, vaccines, and other regular appointments but will of course let an owner in if your dog is very sick or needs specific type of treatments. We've had X-Rays done here too and the vet did an incredible job of explaining what was seen and providing a treatment plan to help our dog get better, which he did! We love this location and our corgi does too. The outside is an old building but looks can be deceiving. They are nice and clean inside and have fixed up their parking lot too which was great. We have been coming here from his first check up and vaccines with us at 8 weeks old to now that he is 4 and don't plan on changing for his lifespan if we can help it. Dr. Burdick is an amazing vet. My cat has FeLV and I was told by two vets before Dr. Burdick that there was absolutely nothing I could do for my cat. Dr. Burdick helped me to figure out how to get the only medication that aids in the treatment of FeLV, which is called t-cyte immunomodulator. She also helped my cat get on immune-boosting supplements, which really help her. Dr. Burdick is truly kind, helped to inform me about all of my options for my cat Pumpkin. I highly recommend this veterinarian. I saw some previous reviews that people said they were being upcharged or that the doctor would push unnecessary medical attention onto their pets. I personally would like to say that I never had this experience and always felt like Dr. Burdick had priced everything fairly and is amazing with her patients. No matter what you go in for they will always up charge you. i spend thousands of dollars here. until one day my dog threw up blood and i tried to get him in but they couldn't help me because the only available appointment was 6 days later. i would recommend you guys a vet who's available in times of real emergencies. I have had a very different experience at this vet than at my normal. Initially, I switched because my regular vet was overbooked. So, I went to Harmony for my newly adopted cat. I was happy with the service, so, as a way to save time and money, I switched my cats' car to Harmony. Suddenly, the vet found "problems" my cats had. Harmony pushed services and meds. I felt like this was weird. I also didn't have hundreds of dollars to spend haphazardly. I went with my gut instinct and returned to my regular vet. I contacted Harmony 2 times in order to get my vet records faxed to my regular vet hospital. But it wasn't until I phoned her a 3rd time FROM my vet's office that the Harmony vet actually emailed the records. That's poor business practices. The biggest red flag for me was regarding my 8 year old cat with I-FLUTD. Harmony said his kidneys weren't in the normal range and, because of this, she wanted to switch his potent Rx food for I-FLUTD to a lighter Rx food for regular FLUTD. She never discussed with me the fact that his I-FLUTD was just that, idiopathic. Had I followed her advice, my cat would have gotten blocked again and then euthanized because his urethra is hangin on by a thread. My regular vet also convinced to to NOT get their teeth cleaned. He said it wasn't medically necessary and to avoid sedating them unless it's necessary. I think Harmony values profit over all else. read more

This place is the worst. I took my sick little puppy here to get help and they charged me $700.00 dollars sent me home with all these medicines and still had know idea why my puppy was sick. She said she heard nothing happening in his intestines but she took x-rays of his throat which made no since. If you love you animal don't take them to this vet. Worst place ever. Was recommended here by my friend Roxy. I am new to the area and was unsure about what event to go to for my first puppy check up Since everywhere was so busy. However when I called theywere able to book me within the week. When I came here they took Boaz inside and I waited at curbside service. The girl was so nice and brought out all of the paperwork and explain to me all the procedures that needed to be done as well as explaining prices before they did it. I really liked that they took the time to do this. At the very end of the appointment the veterinarian Dr. Burdick came out and sat down and helped me understand the importance of different vaccines as well as optional care that I had to. I'm very grateful for the staff here and how kind they were to me. Also when my test came back positive for Giardia and parasites they gave me a call immediately and let me came in the same day to pick up my medication. She talked me through the process of how to best care for my puppy and get rid of this parasite. Will attempt to run multiple tests and offer shots and vaccines that are unneeded. I provided my pet's records and was told 'we don't know what immunizations your pet has had'. First visit went from under $50, quoted over the phone to over $300 within the first ten minutes of me being there with the most serious assumption of Valley Fever. I went in for a cataract. Second visit went from 'simple follow up and bordetella shot' to another $250 in tests because of another assumption of gardia. I was told that the test results would be provided to me in around 30min. and would be called. No such call came. It's now been 4 days and I don't intend to go back. Find a place that will let you go inside and watch what they're doing, at the very least. read more

i've been to harmony hospital dr burdick and alyssa and beth are the bomb... taking care of my grandson (kaka) my son's cat whom he calls hìs son..anyway the point of the story....today...i called the office to see if i can get kaka seen asap..and the female who answered the phone was very rude and disrespectful...i explained everything to her..i just got off work...i work overnights..she thought she put me on hold...she didnt! she told her coworker...omg! why me!! .coworker says wat? humdrum states ...this call ..her phone # doesn't come up ..this old lady is yelling at me! (which i wasnt) so after the fact of being disrespected..now im upset...then she hangs up after she notices that i wasnt on hold...i call back wanting the name ..and they refuse to give me her name ...(so now...they are sticking together)..i want this female reprimanded for her actions..her behavior says alot for the pet hospital ..the pet hospital opens at 8am and i have yet to get a call from the manager/doctor.. and it is now 9am... and make it worse..the lead tech tonya is ok w everything that has occurred.. like im not supposed to be upset after all that??!! tables turned she would be acting the same!!!! she would be upset for being disrespected...smh... read more

Never have I been so rudely treated at a Phoenix veterinary office and I am old. At the time I called for an appt. I was instructed to call their office when I arrived and someone would be out to pick up my pet (cat). This is what I did. After I called, another client drove up in a large SUV. An assistant came out and went straight to this 2nd vehicle. As I was leaving--who would wait while 2nd client is being helped first?--I put down my window and said cancel my appt. The 2nd client with a big dog yelled at me, from his big SUV, that I had to call first. Maybe he did call ahead of me, but not after he arrived there as I had been instructed. The assistant herself could have handled this better and at least spoken to me. Maybe he was more impressive in his SUV. Whatever. Wouldn't recommend this place except to someone I disliked. Also when I called for cat spay appt. they did not explain that I would need a 2nd appt. for her spay after her exam. What? I called for a spay appt. in the 1st place, not an appt. for just an exam. Communication skills should be important but at Harmony, not so much. read more

Would not recommend at all!! I would give negative stars if I could!! My Dad had found this place and took our puppies there for their shots and scheduled an appointment for them to get spayed and neutered; they also both had umbilical hernias that they were going to operate on during the spay and neuter. My girlfriend took our 2 puppies to their spay, neuter, and hernia appointment, and she called me saying she was very hesitant to leave them there. She said the place was kind of run down looking; also the doctor didn't take the time to introduce herself or talk to her at all. They just took the dogs back and told her they would call when it was time to pick them up. We both felt felt so uneasy, we should not have left them there for surgery. We were called 2 hours earlier than we were originally told pickup time would be saying they were ready to be picked up. The vet assistant sounded annoyed that I couldn't leave work early to come get them. My girlfriend and I both went to pick them up after we got the call. I was so relieved to see them! The doctor still never came out to talk about how the surgery went, or what was expected for recovery. We only got to speak with the front desk woman, who gave us minimal information. My male dog was still so out of it as he had gotten out of surgery less than 2 hours prior to being picked up. I was scared to lift him into the car, and worried if he would come off of anesthesia ok, without any complications. The day after the surgery my girlfriend and I noticed the male's incision where the hernia was wasn't looking so good. It was during the weekend, so we had to take him to an emergency vet. He had a raging infection and was leaking blood and puss all over the place and he was very uncomfortable. My heart ached for him, I wanted to do whatever I could to make him feel better and heal. (He is now on his second round of antibiotics because the infection was so bad.) After the weekend, the vet had called to see how they were doing, we told her about the infection and she just said to email her pics of what the infection looked like. We didn't hear back. After waiting 2 hours I ended up calling them to ask if they received the pics and they said no; then she checked her email and said "it just came in" (they didn't even care to look before). She offered for us to bring him for an office visit, and we declined. I was not about to bring my dog back there after all he had been through in the last few days. Our dog was on antibiotics, and we were taking good care of him. A few days after, we noticed the female having problems when she would go outside to urinate. We also took her to the same emergency vet because they were very nice, informative, and actually cared about our dogs. We had to run tests on her urine. There could be a few different problems with her- she's now also on antibiotics and will have to go back for another urine test. Her issues have a strong probability that it was a complication from the surgery. We have spent hundreds of dollars getting our dogs healthy again after Harmony preformed these surgeries on them. My dogs were both healthy 5 month-olds. We were home day and night with them for days after their surgeries, caring for them and making sure they were ok. Both dogs had appointments a few days ago for them to have their stitches taken out (we were told by our new vet that the date Harmony gave us was too soon to take the stitches out). We had called 2 times, there was no answer. We didn't show up for the appointment and they never called us to ask why we didn't show up, ask how the dogs were, or follow up on anything else. Our dogs are under the care of a new vet, and are slowly getting back to being happy, healthy puppies. I hope our female doesn't have a lifelong complication that will require daily medication and special food. If you love your animals, DO NOT take them to this vet!! read more

Dr. Burdick is great! My 15 year old cat has a few old-age conditions and other vets just say to put him down. Dr. Burdick said to put him on a special food and some thyroid medicine. He is like a new cat! I've followed Dr. Burdick to three different hospitals and I'm so glad she finally opened her own. She cares more than any other vet I have seen. I am so glad Harmony Vet Hospital opened up. I used to take my pets here years ago when the old owner ran it. It was OK then, but awesome now. I haven't needed anything except shots and flea prevention for my dogs and cat. They are really honest and don't try to up-sell unnecessary stuff. My last vet wanted me to pay for Lyme disease vaccines when my pets never go up to the mountains. They also wanted to run tests on perfectly healthy animals. Brought my husky in for flea/tick prevention. The staff was very welcoming and loved him immediately. This was the first time my dog went to a vet and wasn't immediately terrified. They were gentle with him the entire time and we were in and out very quickly. Their prices for the exam and medication were very reasonable compared to past places I've been. Incorrectly diagnosed my dog with something he does not have. Took him to 4 other opinions and they all say he doesn't have what this doctor had told me he does have. To make things worse, I have spent over $500 on the medications and just taking him here for something he never had in his system. Recommend getting a second opinion after you take your pet to this doctor before you pay for any medications or treatments. Please keep in mind I have records of purchasing more than 1 medication for him, as I have been back and forth with medications because the first round of medications "DID NOT WORK". I did not return to get more medication because I was told by 4 different doctors that he does not have any parasite. Not sure why a doctor would continue to prescribe more medication to an animal who did NOT have anything wrong with him. read more

Dr. Burdick is one of the most down-to-earth, honest, and caring veterinarians I have ever met in 50 years of having my pets cared for by numerous Az vets. Her philosophy is to do everything possible to help your beloved family member. She strongly exhibits her professionalism & is straight with the truth, so, that she does not lead on her clients with false hopes. But, her compassion for treating and caring for her 4-legged clients, is in her heart and really seen when she is alone with your pet. I know this first hand because I have overheard her talking to the pets for who she is caring. Her prices are VERY affordable and the meds she issues are barely above her actual cost. For example, Banfield (PetSmart) & 2 other vets charged me $59 & $39 for a tube of eye ointment. Dr. Burdick charges $10 for the "exact" same med. Sometimes, special meds have to be compounded, so, she actually will call around to see which compoi ding pharmacy can do it for the best price. I have known her to take very sick pets home with her to treat & monitor them through the night. Her new hospital is a distance for me to drive, but, I will drive the extra distance to give my pets the extra loving care that she gives to them. read more

I took 2 of my 3 dogs here today for the first time (I did bring all 3 in at the same time which I will never do again-one at a time for now on for my sanity as well as the staffs lol). In the waiting area which was very clean, my dogs were going crazy because well, unfamiliar territory and there was a pregnant dog being checked out. Everyone from the owner of the pregnant dog to the staff were so kind and patient with my 3 rambunctious boys putting me at ease because naturally I was embarrassed. When it was time to see my dogs, the vet assistant was very kind and gentle with my boys. Doctor Burdick was very kind and gentle as well and spent time answering my questions and recommending new food for my dogs (one is a bit overweight) and also informed me about some medical information regarding my miniature schnauzer which I did not know. I did not feel rushed and appreciate her attentiveness towards my bow wows. My 3rd dog will be seen in January (he's not due for shots and we'll exam until then) and I feel comfortable bringing my boys back to this establishment. Prices are very reasonable and they accept Pet Assure which I am a member of (discount on services). I believe I found my forever bet for my beloved fur babies. read more
