Stopped in on a Friday night without reservations for hibachi. The place is huge!! We were seated right away. Started with a couple draft beers, placed our order and were served a mushroom soup and a house salad to begin the meal. The soup didn't look like much, but it was so flavorful! Salad was delicious as well, but had a creamier dressing than I'd have expected. I ordered the filet and scallops hibachi meal. The steak was slightly overcooked, but still taste. The rice could've used a bit more flavor. Scallops and veggies were perfect. We did leave with a very heavy old oil smell seeped into our clothes, jackets and skin. Visited with friends on Christmas Day for dinner. Very spacious inside with a really nice bar, although I was surprised no one was sitting there. I had the miso ramen but I asked for it to be spicy. The broth was rich and flavorful, exactly what I needed. It came with tender pork, half an egg, bamboo shoots, and wood ear mushrooms (kikurage) in a nice big bowl. The aesthetic of the restaurant is beautiful, from the seating to the gorgeous bar setup, everything feels thoughtfully designed. The ambience is warm, perfect for a casual meal or a night out. First time in today and definitely making plans to go back next week at lunch. My boyfriend says to me let's go try out that new place Harmony so we meet up. As soon as we walk in, the ambiance is very nice. The decor is on point and a lovely smiling woman greets us. She gave us the option of a table or the hibachi area, we opted for the table. Our waiter Ayden, another lovely smiling face brings us our water while we look over the lunch menu. We decided on the filet and scallops which both are absolutely delicious. My side salad was good as my boyfriend's soup was as well... no more then we began that here came our entrees so no complaints here. Scallops were cooked to perfection and a very silky amazing texture. Vegetables and fried rice on point! His filet was absolutely fantastic and cooked exactly how he asked. This is a different kind of hibachi steakhouse that I have ever been to. I went on Valentine's Day with my fiance and parents. I made a reservation, and we arrived a couple of minutes early. When we got there, they said that some people had accidentally made reservations at the wrong location but they were honoring those reservations at this location which caused all other reservations to get pushed back. As a reasonable person, I wasn't mad about this. But, it was a little frustrating because I was super hungry, and it smelled really good in there!! The wait was only about 15 minutes, so it wasn't anything outrageous. I will admit, the service was slow, but I wasn't upset because it was Valentine's on a Friday. I went in knowing it would be slow. Our server was busting his butt to get everyone their needs. It looked like he had at least 6 tables in our section, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was more than that. I ordered hibachi chicken with noodles. We also ordered a sushi roll to split as an appetizer. Of course, the hibachi comes with soup and a salad as well. I will start with the salad. I love this type of salad so much. The ginger dressing coats the crispy lettuce, and it's perfection in my eyes. The soup wasn't my favorite. I ended up not finishing it. The sushi was *chef's kiss*. I think I am easy to please when it comes to sushi though! The most interesting part was the actual hibachi food! I have always had hibachi taste the same no matter where I go. Some may be "better" than others, but it always has the same flavor profile. This hibachi-style food is completely different. It had a very peppery taste in comparison to the garlicky/soy taste you would usually expect. I don't mean this in a bad way at all, but I wasn't expecting it to be different. I quite liked the food! I think I liked it the next day more than the same day. Maybe the food got to "marinade" more in the fridge overnight. I am not sure if I would go back just because it's not my *favorite* hibachi that I've been to, and for the price you're paying at a hibachi, I think I would choose my favorite instead. The food was okay. The pork belly appetizer was delicious. The shrimp and veg tempura was okay. Could have been more crisp and salted. Food came out in waves. They don't coordinate the service. My Shoyu ramen broth was quite bland. The pork served with it was good, but the portion was sparse. Service was atrocious. Drinks sat empty. New to the Southside! We came for dinner on a Friday night as we knew this place just opened not too long ago and wanted to try it out. There was no wait and we did not make a reservation. The staff was very friendly. The first thing I noticed right when you walked in was all of the smoke from the hibachi grills. Hopefully they can get that figured out with some better ventilation as they are still new. We chose the regular seating (not on the hibachi grill) but could still see and very much hear all of the noise from the cooking and the "hibachi show." It definitely sounded like they were having a good time. So much that I found it hard to have a conversation because I felt like I was yelling. So be aware of that if you come during a peak time. We really enjoyed everything that we ordered. The Lemon Drop Martini was good and strong just like I like it. We both ordered Hibachi for dinner and that came with Miso Soup and salads before the food came out. The sushi rolls were also good. Nothing over the top but they were good. Everyone just raves about Harmony Steak house, but I found it to be just alright. It was an extremely rainy day, so I got it to go and ordered the hibachi fried rice with chicken and a side of lo mein noodles. I'd asked for it to be spicy and there was no heat to this dish at all. The chicken was kind of dry and really wasn't seasoned at all. The noodles were pretty good, but overall everything was kind of bland. In my opinion, the portion sizes were small for the price. This was all over $25 with tip. Everyone seems really nice on staff and the restaurant itself looks amazing inside, but probably not a spot I will return to over and over. read more

Finally decided to visit the Harmony Steakhouse over by Freddie's at Emerson & County Line It's actually a Japanese Steakhouse, think Benihana .... It's very big once inside, several hibachi tables, several sit down dining tables and a bar with bar seats. I wanted the full show so hibachi table it was. It is a little ackward once you walk in, a large table greeting you and people standing around, I had to ask if people were waiting. A guy took our name so we waited, only about 15 minutes but it seemed disorganized. Once seated, we got excellent service from a server named May! The hibachi tables are smaller than normal and there is a strange large fan on the table where the chef stands, also saw fire extinguishers behind the table, I guess I felt safe .. also it was quite smoky in the room from all the tables They have a large menu! Offering many options other than traditional hibachi, like ramen, sushi, skewers, even a kids menu! My wife was not hungry so she just ordered the chicken fried rice, which was made in the kitchen not at the hibachi tables, I got the combo, steak chicken and shrimp , mine was fantastic, the wife said hers was just okay. My combination meal came with the traditional soup, salad, fried rice and vegetables. Overall it was very good but pricey, $80 with tip. I will be back! read more

We showed up to our 5 PM reservation and were squeezed into a table where the other patrons already began eating. We asked if we could be seated at a table where we could actually see the show of the food being cooked & were told that we would have to wait (despite showing up to our RESERVATION at the time we booked) because there were larger parties coming. After a brief back and forth, we were eventually seated at a new table, but honestly, the experience was already soiled. My husband and I came here for lunch today and really enjoyed it. The inside is clean, well decorated and nicely laid out. They have hibachi tables and regular tables as well. We decided to sit at a regular table. Our server was kind and attentive. We ordered the chicken gyoza for an appetizer and enjoyed it. I had not heard of this steak house hibachi until recently. I rarely give 5 stars but this place deserves every bit of 5 and maybe more. It was a Sunday evening and I was surprised they weren't busier. We didn't have a reservation so we hoped they could accommodate our small group. They seated us at one of the available hibachi grills. I noticed right away that the grill tables were smaller and more intimate than what I've usually seen and other hibachi restaurants. At first glance, the restaurant is very clean and has an open concept. I believe they've only been open for about eight months. Their bathrooms were very nice and clean as well. We didn't have to wait long to be served and our server Maria was beyond amazing. She couldn't have been more friendly. She looked like she really enjoyed her job. She served our drinks to us immediately and our salads and our food. The soup and salads were outstanding. The dressing on the salad was really nice. I've had that type of dressing before and sometimes it's watery. Just had a very nice thicker consistency. The miso soup very flavorful. It was just enough for a light starter to the meal. We ordered steak and chicken and shrimp hibachi. Chef Andy was super friendly, funny and animated as well. He made the whole experience highly enjoyable and entertaining. He cooked the food in record time and it was excellent. The amount of found was astounding. We took the larger portion of it home which is fine with me. The yum yum sauce was yum yum too. The pricing was on point with any other hibachi steakhouse I've been to. Quality and quantity factored together in a very big way. I look forward to going to this restaurant again. When you first walk in you can tell the place looks really clean and open. They had fresh flowers on the table which was a nice touch. Our server, Virgi, was so sweet and greeted us with a smile. The food came out great, at the same time. (unlike some of the other reviews on here) We ordered sushi, and a bowl of ramen (pics shown) and it tasted great. The sushi is plated with wasabi and red ginger. Tasted amazing with a great temperature. The food and service is amazing and great chill atmosphere. At first I didn't recognize the correlation between this steakhouse and the Harmony Tea restaurants. It's the same company and therefore they do offer those Harmony teas as well. While everything tastes great and the service is amazing. I thought it was a little overpriced but it was still worth checking out. Our server Virgi was SO SWEET and very professional. We ate at the Harmony Steakhouse for the first time, and we opted for regular seating rather than hibachi. We had an order of shrimp gyoza, two miso soups and I had chirashi, while my husband had a single order of octopus nigiri, since he was not very hungry. He also had seaweed salad, which was large and fresh. I asked to substitute seaweed salad for the salad that came with the chirashi but the waitress would not make the substitution, even though I offered to pay any upcharge. The salad I had was good enough, and I liked the creamy salad dressing it came with, even though it was not standard Japanese steakhouse salad dressing. Ambiance: This is a pretty large place with huge teppanyaki booths, a dedicated non-teppanyaki dining area, and fenced-in patio. There is tons of natural light and the place is tastefully designed although the ventilation system for the grills adds a low level of noise you'll have to talk over just slightly. The main problem we had was that, despite the ventilation system being audibly on, the entire restaurant was still smokey inside! Not enough to make us cough or anything but still somewhat off-putting. Our server was new but very friendly and professional. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time. Food: We ordered a ton of food, here were my notes. Poke appetizer - Had a nice spicy sear and great flavor, was one of our favorite things even though the frito-looking fried wonton wrappers were flavorless. Would order a rice bowl with just the fish if we could. Takoyaki - They nailed the crispy exterior and had a nice meaty filling with a tender chunk of octopus. The inner batter was a little runny but not raw. I appreciate they were not too heavy-handed with the mayo, sauce, or bonito flakes. Karaage (fried chicken) - Spot-on flavor, non-greasy, and tender dark meat. They use potato starch which creates a light crispy exterior but make sure to eat it quickly as it will soften as it sits on the table. It is served with yum yum sauce which is whatevs. Tonkotsu ramen - Overall solid dish, but milder than others I've had. Could stand to have punchier flavor (e.g. by increasing the shoyu tare that goes into it). Otherwise, all the other ingredients were great. It had authentic ramen noodles and traditional toppings of seaweed, corn, narutomaki (the white swirls), soft-boiled egg, and bamboo shoots. The seared pork belly was tasty but not my preferred preparation compared to the traditional braised version. Rolls - We got the sunshine and peppered tuna roll but they were by far the weakest thing on the menu. The biggest complaint is that the rolls were texturally mushy. The rice was overcooked and smashed during handling so there was no texture, they use minimal cucumber and use avocado instead so there no crunchy elements, many of the rolls are topped with either mashed spicy tuna , shredded imitation crab, and/or topped with copious sauces which just makes everything a creamy mush. They have "tempura salmon" in many rolls but the tempura batter is mushy after frying and the overcooked salmon just disintegrates in your mouth so be warned. Neither of the specialty rolls seemed to highlight the freshness of the fish or quality of the ingredients so we were pretty let down. Fried ice cream - Was complimentary for my wife's b-day but very mushy fried batter even immediately on hitting the table. The French vanilla ice cream was good though, reminiscent of Breyers. Overall: I think Harmony Steakhouse is a decent Japanese option. Their cooked dishes (e.g. apps and ramen) definitely seem stronger than their raw dishes. There is clearly some attention paid to authentic preparations and their presentation/plating is good. They seem to drop the ball on textures and cooking things to the perfect level of doneness. This texture problem is pervasive enough across most of their dishes that I ultimately gave them 3 instead of 4 stars. This place is good enough to scratch an itch but probably not one I'll be adding to the standard restaurant rotation. read more

We initially thought about stopping by to have some kind of boba drink, but decided to have lunch instead since they don't serve boba! I got the Miso Ramen and my wife chose the Tonkotsu Ramen. Both of the broths were good, plus all of the fixins that go with it....one thing we really liked was the extra thick pork (2 pieces & about 1/4" thick) that had some char to them.
