First off, the front office ladies are extremely rude, especially to students. I've seen then firsthand give my daughter attitude but then be completely nice to me and other parents. They do not know how to treat children and should never be involved in education. Secondly, in the previous school year my children told me about a bug infestation that lasted about three weeks. Th small roaches would surround lockers and even bathrooms. Additionally, large roaches would crawl out of water fountains that students often drank out of. Everything is unsanitary and they do not care about student safety and health. The lunch is really bad as well. I've heard cases of spoiled milk, apples that are green inside, and slightly raw meat. Although packed lunch can solve this, not everyone can afford packed lunches and this school should know to properly nourish students. The school has no preparation for sports and is only focused on STEM, which isn't bad but students do not get enough movement after grade ninth. The principal is rude and took off the senior ceiling tile portraits after calling them ugly, but labeled them as "flammable". He also does not know how to speak to children and has a nasty attitude. Other Harmony schools are not like this, only this one that is too small and horrible. read more

Honestly I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. I just joined in 10th grade and I was known as the new white kid. The school is full of Muslims and semi African American which is cool and all but not when they think being racist to you is funny. I'd get constant racist jokes thrown at me but "since we're close it's okay" after 10th grade I lost a lot of my friends because I started working and not being able to hang out with everyone so no one liked that and I got bullied a few times in 11th grade. Then 12th comes and I'm still getting bullied by more of the school and all I have to say is that the school doesn't know how to take care of anything, they won't do anything about it no matter how many times I've talked to them but I constantly got bullied. I talked to the principal many times but I guess "teasing and calling you names" is just other girls being jealous of you. All I wanted was nothing but to get out and graduate because no one is your true friend there. Also, the building has ZERO windows and bathroom doors are left open for everyone's privacy to be revealed. So if you like misbehaving kids at every hallway then go ahead and send your kids here. Some of the teachers are okay but the staff sucks and the lunch is disgusting. Everything is a meat replacement and it tastes like pure plastic. I'm not proud I graduated from this school but I did so now I don't have to see anyone ever again. Oh and let me not forget, you are required to graduate with 100 or more community hours and you have to be accepted into a 4 year university or else they will NOT let you graduate. Both of my daughters have loved and experience a great four year here. My oldest one graduated last year and is going to a great College. My younger one is a senior this year and has already been excepted in to four college. I love how their teachers and their advisor has gone out of her way help with colleges. It's my third year here and I really enjoy the school's multiculturalism. The students are successful and the staff go above and beyond to help students. The environment is very safe compared to nearby high schools. The dual credit program is free of charge for the students and students also do not pay AP exam fees. The school covers all those costs. Though not the best, the sports are improving because the coach does an awesome job training the students. Your child will have an opportunity to meet with their college counselor and career advisor in one-to-one sessions, this being very important since other high schools are not providing this service well, due to a high number of students to counselor ratio. read more

The most inefficient, poorly managed body of individuals one would ever encounter. It is hard to believe the administrators are in charge of grooming our children. Teachers seem to be ok at that. I think this would be the equivalent to Supercuts when compared to a real salon or Harvard vs TCC. read more

If it were possible, I would give this school a negative score. As a parent, my observations are as follows: Constant berating, writing-up, and punishment of students over the most ridiculous offenses. . . pants too short, pants too long, too tight, too loose, shirt not tucked-in or tucked-in properly, no-belt, wrong color shoes, pants, shirt, skirt, jacket, hair, etc. Teachers are regularly seen screaming at students and speaking disrespectfully. Bathroom doors to the ladies and gentlemen's restrooms are left open. Creating an embarrassing situation for both sexes. In general, there is a complete and total lack of understanding, tolerance, and kindness directed towards the student body. It is absolutely impossible to reach anyone in the office without an appointment. But first, you must ask to leave a message asking if you can have an appointment. No communication, no communication, no communication, ever! My child enrolled in early December 2016, after one-month I was ready to pull him out. He wanted to give it a chance. We finished the year in May 2017, but we will not be back. - I would like to say that my son did have a few GREAT teachers, but the administration (Principal, etc.) were horrible and checked-out to lunch 99% of the time. read more
