7 years after my first review and this is still a solid 5 stars. And would give it more if I…read morecould. This is a Must every time we come to NYC, and we have shared the experience with friends, who end up loving it as much as we do. We've been to different time shows and no matter which it's always a great time. All comedians performing always bring their A-Game and have us laughing all night long. To the point that we are repeating jokes the next day and still laughing. You get to see at least 5 different comedians, and sometimes even "bigger names" show up trying out new material, or just because they're in town. Reservations are really recommended, especially if you are visiting, as it does get sold out, and even thought there's a wait-list line, it get's sold out quick and not guaranteed you will get in. And, believe me, this is not something you want to miss. I just got back and can't wait for my next time there!

We were so glad to get in via standby list for a Saturday 1045p show! We didn't have a reservation…read more STANDBY: We had just missed the 9p show and only 2 people were successful via standby. A guy at the door said people usually line up a little before one hour before the show to get on the list and staff members come at one hour before. I got in line (first in line lol) at 9p and people really started lining up around ~930p. The staff came around 945 to allow us to scan the QR code (must present ID) to reserve a spot in line. You only need one person per party to scan the QR code. He told us to come back at 1045 (no need to be in an ordered line) to see if our names would be called. After they let in people with reservations they returned to the standby line. I'd say maybe ~12 people got in that time. The staff member said people usually have more standby success for later shows. THE SHOW: The show was spectacular. They understandably ask that you put your phones or Apple Watches in a sealed envelope that you keep with you during the show. We saw five acts - 3 were strong, 2 were weaker. The weaker 2 didn't bomb but we just didn't enjoy as much. There is a cover charge + 2 item minimum per person. The item can be food or a nonalcoholic beverage, so no worries if you don't drink alcohol. Service was good. It's a cramped space but not uncomfortable and I think there's really no bad seat in the house. Such a fun night. :)

Five at Mohegan in Wilkes-Barre is one of those restaurants that makes you stop mid-bite and say…read more"wow this place is legit." From the moment you walk in you're greeted with a sleek stylish atmosphere that feels upscale without being stuffy. The lighting is warm the décor is modern and elegant and the whole vibe makes you feel like you're about to enjoy something special. It's the perfect mix of classy and comfortable and instantly sets the tone for a great night. The service is top notch from start to finish. The staff is friendly attentive and incredibly professional. You're greeted with genuine smiles and taken care of like you're the only table in the place even on a busy night. Our server knew the menu inside and out offered thoughtful recommendations and made sure everything arrived perfectly timed. Drinks stayed full plates came out hot and no detail was ever overlooked. It's the kind of service that elevates the entire experience. Now the food here is on another level. Every dish feels carefully crafted and packed with flavor. The appetizers were so good we ended up ordering more than we planned because each one was better than the last. The entrées were cooked perfectly beautifully plated and bursting with richness and freshness. Whether you go with steak seafood pasta or something lighter you really can't go wrong. The ingredients taste high quality and every bite feels like it was made with real passion. And we can't forget the drinks. The cocktails are absolutely amazing balanced creative and presentation worthy. You can tell the bartenders take pride in what they do. Whether you're grabbing something classic or trying one of their craft creations you're in for a treat. The ambience overall is what ties everything together. It's lively but still intimate energetic but still comfortable and perfect for dates celebrations or just treating yourself to a great meal. Five has that "special occasion" feel but with the warmth and fun that makes you want to come back regularly. Five at Mohegan is easily a five star restaurant. Great service incredible ambience delicious food and a vibe that makes every visit feel like a night out worth remembering. If you're anywhere near Wilkes-Barre do yourself a favor and book a table. You'll leave full happy and already planning your next visit.

I used to live in Northeast PA and remember when Mohegan PA first opened. Back then, it was the…read morebiggest thing to hit Wilkes-Barre/Scranton since the invention of HBO. Seriously, it was a big deal. The casino launched without a hotel, but over the years, it expanded, adding a hotel, more restaurants, and other amenities. For those first few years, this place was hopping--run like a well-oiled machine thanks to Bobby Soper, always clean, always busy, and a solid selection of restaurants and bars to enjoy between donating to the Mohegan tribe. Fast forward to now, and wow... what a fall from grace. I stopped by a few times on a recent trip, and Mohegan PA is barely a shell of what it used to be. First glaring issue? No valet parking. Why? I'm sure they'll blame COVID, but come on--at least bring it back on weekends when the place is actually busy. Speaking of busy, unless you're here on a Friday or Saturday night, the casino is a ghost town. During the week, I could have done cartwheels through the aisles without disturbing a soul. But come Saturday? It's so packed you can't even find an open machine to play. The extremes are wild. And those slot machines... yikes. I swear this must be where all the old, retired machines from their other casinos come to spend their final days. The games are outdated, some displays have screen burn-in, and several machines have broken buttons. There are even sections where machines have just been removed, leaving empty spaces with stanchions. It looks neglected. Food & Drink? Hit or miss. The buffet? Gone--another casualty of COVID, I assume. The Irish bar? Dead every time I walked by. The food court? It felt like stepping into a deserted 90s mall--bleak and lifeless. Unless you're planning to splurge at Ruth's Chris or Rustic Kitchen, your dining options are... well, depressing. Oh, and speaking of depressing - the plants in the planters outside Ruth's Chris... they're dead. Literally. And let's talk about the center bar experience. One evening, I stopped for a quick drink before a dinner reservation, and the bar was a cluttered mess. When the bartender finally emerged, I was greeted with an uninspired "What do you need?" Clearly, she wasn't thrilled to be working, and honestly, I can't blame her given the tumbleweed-level traffic in there. After visiting, I now understand why this place is dead mid-week. Mohegan PA is nothing like its former self. Living in South Florida, I frequent the Hard Rock casinos, and let me tell you, those absolutely blow this place away--newer machines, better game variety, cleaner spaces, solid food and drink options. If Bobby Soper walked in today, he'd cry.
