Sadly, I have to downgrade my review after my last experience…read more After the first time, in which I had a deep cleaning of almost my whole condo (minus the basement & 2 bedrooms), I only wanted the den, kitchen, half bath and master bedroom cleaned. This was about half of what I had done previously. I wrote to Smiles Are Maid several times and asked for an estimate, but I didn't get a response. Finally, I just downgraded the size of my home, and when the appointment reminder came, it showed a reasonable price. Amber came on time, and she said there was a change in the work order, which I confirmed with her -- and explained again which areas I wanted cleaned. She started upstairs, and when she was ready to clean the downstairs, I went upstairs. After a while, I realized that I hadn't heard any noise, and I went downstairs to see she'd left, without saying anything. She still did a good job, so I don't have any complaints with her work. However, I was then charged another $84.00 after the cleaning. (They'd charged me more after the first time as well, but I didn't mind that as much, as Amber was there for 10 hours.) I wrote to them several times to ask why I was charged more. When I didn't get a response, I told them that if I didn't hear from them within 48 hours, I was going to take it up with my credit card company. I then heard back immediately. They said that the estimate was based on a one bedroom unit, and that my house was bigger than that. I said yes, it is, but I only asked for cleaning of the areas mentioned, that I'd asked in advance for a quote AND that I'd discussed it with Amber before she started. They did credit my card for the extra charge -- and they cancelled my upcoming service. Again, I asked why they cancelled, told them that wasn't my intention and that I just wanted to be charged fairly for the work that was done. I never heard back from them. So, my final rating: 5 stars for cleaning, 0 stars for communication and trying to keep the customer satisfied.

Apparently my time isn't worth anything as I sit and wait for their arrival. Never made fun of the cleaners cars. Geez what is wrong with you. Only stated that when a car leaks oil and gas they should park in the street. Your 2nd cleaner wanted me to handle her road service. I asked her if she had AAA. I shouldn't have to use my AAA for your employees. As for pictures of me laughing at your employee. Please post them. Quite honestly I didn't even know where her car broke down. So I would love to see the proof. Be very careful Tabatha you're close to slander. Any further posts of incorrect information will be dealt with accordingly. Can't recommend this business. RE: When you have a window of 9-11 you don't show up at 11, when you have a window of 8-9, you don't show up at 9:20. First visit of the day should be an easy appt to keep. Roads have been dry for 7 months now. No weather delays, I would suggest you tell your maids that when their appt is between 8-9 don't leave the house at 8:45. Your 2 hour comment is out of line when I have proof of email and texts that say the 8-9 arrival. Your company is highly unprofessional when it come to customers valuable time.

And then we found Magda's cleaning. She asked for all the details and address for our place 2-3 weeks before the cleaning and assured us of their "professional" service by sharing the details of what they clean. But come the day of cleaning as soon as she arrived at our place started the dramatics performance of how big the place was and how dirty it was left by the previous residents, thus asking us to pay 30% more than what she gave us an estimate of. We still agreed expecting them to still do a good job, and left the place to them. When I was called back to inspect and I entered the home expecting it to be really clean, I started seeing some obvious dirt and places that were completely left untouched. When I started pointing out the obviously dirty places to them, instead of offering to fix the simple issues, they became hostile and started blaming me for making it dirty, and then commenting that for this level of cleaning you'd have to pay at least a $1000. She even claimed that I am showing her faults in cleaning so that I can get out of paying her. They never owned up to doing a bad job and never offered to clean it up to finish their job. The oven cleaning which she claimed took around 2 hrs time was left pretty much the same with their chemicals sprayed inside. I found cobwebs at multiple places (easily accessible) around the house, and most of the drawers and shelf's that were either higher up or down low were never even touched. (See pics) We got these services thinking we won't have the time with work to clean the new place but after seeing the results I regretted ever contacting them, since even if I took a day off from work, I could have done a much better job alone and would have cost me less even with wage loss. I hope no one else is taken advantage like this, especially in such a difficult economy.
