I was going in a few days a week, but I won't anymore. I stopped in for a bottle of wine and a couple other things. Three young women were in front of me and overcharged for frozen pizza. They questioned him and he said it was for a different pizza, but then they went over to the cooler and it was priced $5. He did not adjust the price for them. They just kind of looked at each other and left. I was next in line and decided to look at my receipt. I too was charged more than the listed price in the cooler for that wine and another item I bought. I pointed it out and all the cashier said was they were adjusting the prices for the season. I said that they needed to publish the correct price then. Nothing. Crickets. No adjustment and no apology. Barney's is only a couple miles, so I will just go there from now on. Check your receipts, but good luck getting them to make good on it.

The food was old but we were under the understanding the fried chicken was fresh. So we asked about ordering the dark meat because that's all both of us eat. The lady said "no" "you have to get everything or I can't sell it to you"! So, we relented as we were so car tired.and got it the way she was selling it. The we chose the Mac n cheese and one more side. The mashed potatoes were dried up and they didn't have any thing else. So, my wife chose the onion rings. The did "look " fresh. And she gave us 4 / 2 by 2 rolls! We got back to the hotel and my wife put out that food. Everything was old we ate some chicken and Mac n cheese but the onion rings weren't edible. Eat The store was great but avoid the Deli at all cost! Had we been treated better and told the food was old we would have purchased Subs. But when I tried it I quickly changed my mind. I'm back in Chicago now wishing I had one right now. The plain biscuit itself is buttery and has a solid texture. Perfect crunch on the outside and great inside. All buttery but just the right amount. Then take this biscuit and add fresh strawberry pieces. The tart sweet of the strawberry makes this one damn good biscuit. It's unique. Then I had the glazed old fashioned donut. It tasted like a great buttery pound cake. I guess you could say its pricey but not really for the quality and the unique tastes and flavor. Coffee is very good also. We were tasting the three items in the car. To be honest, I've never heard of Meijer before a recent week in Michigan. I needed a place to grab…read morea huge amount of groceries (and some other random items), and the Yelp app took me to this spot. I wasn't sure what to expect, but this store/location is huge. It's like WalMart and a grocery store merged together to give you every single thing you might need while on a family vacation. I was grateful! We found everything we needed, from an umbrella stroller for my daughter, to a shower mat for my father-in-law, to lawn chairs, and more. Not to mention, they had every single item on my grocery list (that never happens!) Masks were strictly enforced and staff at the entrance made sure all guests had them on. They also have arrows that show you which way "traffic" should flow down the aisles. Everything was spread out so I never felt like I was too close to someone else. The produce was fresh, the deli had a ton of great food for the beach, and the staff was always willing to answer questions. This one-stop-shop definitely saved me a lot of time and energy while in Michigan!
