They are very nice people, explain about the different varieties and let you sample. This orchard has a range of varieties you can't find elsewhere. We bought three varieties and they all taste incredible and just the right texture and big too! They also have a couple varieties of pears, including a small gourmet pear. You won't believe the flavor! I would recommend this orchard over many others we have visited. They take extra care with everything and select the best quality for sale.

By the third I was very disappointed after spending $10+ on them including canned jam, pickles and canned pie filling. I had plans of using them somehow or getting a refund. But the next day lots of fruit flies and my kitchen smelled of rotten fruit. I threw them out. I didn't want to waste my time on driving there and complaining. So I didn't. My loss their gain. I only go to this location because they have a deli item I used to like. I no longer will eat the item after being treated that way. If it's too much trouble to treat someone like a human then find another job. After the card transaction completed he yelled at me to come back because my card was declined. Lots of the most popular varieties (like honeycrisp) were pretty picked over, but we still found more apples than we wanted to carry, and our kids mostly had fun running in giant loops around the farm. It was sunny and lovely and great to be outside. There's not a lot more to it than that. I gather it's now popular for apple picking orchards to have roller coasters or petting zoos, and I have no idea why. They don't have those things here. They have a tractor that will take you in a circle around the property, and they sell hot, freshly-fried apple cider donuts that are really great -- they tasted more like apple cider than any cider donut I've eaten. By the time we got home, our son was asking when we could go back. We plan to make it a yearly tradition.
