5pc Chicken Tenders Combo (I already opened the other sauce and took a bite of one of the tenders)
Hunter M.

Great value, I only paid $5.50 for a 5pc chicken tender combo. The chicken was very good, tender and juicy. Breaded well. The fries were not great, below average. The BBQ sauce included with the chicken was Sweet Baby Ray's, which is good, though I was expecting a unique "Hardee's Style" BBQ sauce. (You can request one multiple styles of sauce with the chicken tenders) The sweet tea tasted like an old batch, but was drinkable. Interior was clean, but napkins weren't stocked and ketchup dispenser was completely empty. The lady who took my order was friendly, but when I was standing at the ketchup dispenser looking for someone to notify, there was no one at the counter. Very minor issues, but it's those little things you expect from a fast food restaurant.

So slow, completely unprepared for the amount of business they have. Customer service is lacking.

Really good burger, excellent onion rings, service was good. This is by far the best fast food restaurant I have been to in quite a while.

Farmer's Table - Farmhouse Burger Combo

Fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared!!!!!…read more Farmer's Table is a standout spot for anyone who appreciates fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every dish I tried felt carefully prepared, with flavors that were balanced and satisfying. The salads were crisp and vibrant, and the entrees were hearty without being heavy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it easy to enjoy a relaxed meal. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable, happy to answer questions about the menu and provide recommendations. Overall, Farmer's Table delivers consistently excellent food and a welcoming dining experience. It's a place I'll gladly return to and recommend to anyone looking for a fresh, quality meal.

In good weather their outdoor patio looks like a great place to sit down and enjoy your All American burgers, fries and shakes. In colder seasons their indoor facilities are countrified and comfortable for those purists who choose to eat on premises to have their food right off the grill or deep fryer when they are at the peak of flavor. Apparently, their ice cream and soft serve are also noteworthy. I did takeout, and thought something was lost in the time it took to get home. The cheeseburger was still hot, juicy and delicious, but the fries had lost their crispness and were over salted. Similarly, my vanilla soft serve had partially melted and separated into a sweet cool slurry and a still composed core that had much less of the expected taste. Definitely eat right there to maintain maximum enjoyment. Service was friendly and welcoming with beautiful smiles all around. Four Farm to Table Stars, but be sure to eat right there for the full experience.

Yorktown Pub - Crab dip. Tasty and bigger portion than it looks

We only waited about 15 minutes. But the view of the water made the wait enjoyable. The atmosphere was appropriate for a casual place. Lots of dark wood, a bar, booths and, I assume, faux copper ceiling tiles. We were seated in a high table near the window with a view of York River. Our server was great! She helped me make a choice of beer. The double IPA was citrusy which I like. I was torn between the fish tacos, a loaded baked potato with "famous" chili, or grilled crab sandwich. She said beyond a doubt get the tacos. She was so right! I love fish tacos. The Booming Tacos, an off-the-menu item, was over the top. I mean there was so much rockfish it was over the top of the grilled flour tortilla. The moist blackened fish pieces laid atop spring mix and drizzled with a creamy spicy boom boom sauce. My husband had the Rachel, a turkey sandwich on rye with Russian dressing and coleslaw, it came with french fries that seemed to have a bit of a coating that made them very crunchy. Everything was great. If ever back in the area, this will be the place to eat.

Had to add salt and pepper to taste anything and then just didn't even eat 1/2. Paid an extra $1 for cheese and onions on top. I'm talking bye 7 little cheese pieces and the same with tiny onions. Their clam chowder was salty. And other than the fried seafood, it wasn't worth the cost. Need to remind ourselves this is tourist trap with bumped up prices for quickly made (and not properly seasoned) food. Major disappointment and a waste of $30 for a sandwich, fries and a cup of chili

They have a pretty extensive menu for a burger joint, with nine Valhallas (stuffed burgers), almost 2 dozen signature sandwiches (think patty melts), several regular burgers, hotdogs, and several sides including onion rings (they were out today), tots, several iterations of fries, and nachos. I ordered the Jana - a Valhalla stuffed with Swiss and Muenster cheeses and mushrooms, topped with a fried egg and "Viking Sauce," a sort of chili or meat sauce that seems to be made from turkey. It's huge- I practically had to unhinge my jaw like the Midgard Serpent to bite it! This is a $15 burger and it is well worth it. Understand that when they say "stuffed burger," it's basically two burgers with the stuffing squashed between them on a nice, big bun. I may not need to eat again today. My Bride got the Frigga sandwich - a beef patty with bacon, caramelized onion, Gouda cheese and grilled pineapple tidbits. At $11.50, it's reasonably priced, and must have been good- she wolfed it down like it was Tyr's hand. We opted for combos so we both got tater tots crispy enough to do ASMR videos with and drinks- they have both fountain and bottled drinks available. We had one of each. With Newport News' exorbitant meals tax, lunch came to $46 before tip. I'm not even mad about it- it was worth every penny. An excellent meal with some great customer service. I'm not likely to make the hour drive just to eat here, but I will certainly be back anytime I'm in town already and need to slay my hunger Viking style!
