Staff are super rude and will roll their eyes at you for no reason. Super slow service too. Worst Hardee's in Alabama.

This review is for the Bojangles location at the Love's Truck Stop west of Mobile Alabama…read more It seems I'm out on this end of town a lot lately, in fact, this entire week, I ended nearly every night out that way. And after driving around town all day, sometimes I just want to go to the most convenient place on my way home. And this is how I tried Bojangles. I'm a big fan of good fried chicken, probably more than my doctor thinks I should be. There's just something quintessentially American about fried chicken that takes me back to a simpler time in my life, and it's most likely that notion that drives my opinion of fried chicken in general. Since moving to the Deep South, I've tried all kinds of fried chicken, and I have certain opinions about my favorite chicken, and strong opinions about whose chicken is absolutely not good. So I walked into Bojangles, and for the record I'd tried them before, but there was quite a line and I almost skipped it altogether, but then I'd have to stop somewhere else, and I was already out of the car, so I settled on being there despite what looked like it could be a long wait time. The place was not dirty, but it definitely wasn't clean either. The soda machine area was a complete disaster and the tables and floor looked like they hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. But they seemed to be quite busy, so I could partially forgive that. I waited in that line for the better part of twenty minutes before I got to the counter and had my order taken. Again, I can partially forgive that, because they were busy. What isn't forgivable was that the crew seemed entirely uncommitted to their job and that they seemingly had no ability to work as a team to get it done. When they took my order, I ordered a three piece meal with a biscuit, Mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes, with a lemonade to drink. Easy, right? You would think so. But I waited easily another 20 minutes for my food, and when I checked it, they gave me someone else's food, and had given my food to them. So they remade mine, which took another five minutes. But they're busy and things happen, right? So they give me the correct order and all I'm thinking about is that home is still twenty minutes away, and that I should be there by now. So I take my food and I go, because I'm just ready to be home. Now, I know I have a twenty minute drive to get there, and I get home as soon as I can, and when I do, I gather my food and other things in the car and go into the house. I take a quick photo of this food for the review, and sit down to eat. I look at the three pieces of chicken they gave me, and they must have been the smallest pieces in the batch. There wasn't a lot of meat on them. And I remember that their chicken had somewhat of a kick to it, but this was a lot spicier than I remembered it being. I have stomach and blood pressure issues, so I tend to avoid spicy food for the most part unless I find myself in Santa Fe eating Chile Releno. (If you know, you know.) The biscuit was hard and barely edible, the Mac & Cheese was dry and didn't have a lot of flavor, and the potatoes were okay, but clearly an instant variety instead of the real deal. (The gravy was pretty darn amazing, I must admit.) If the twenty minute drive home diminished the quality of this food, then that's on me, but I have a feeling based on other factors that the experience would have been sub par either way. Maybe it was just an off day for them, or maybe it wasn't. Who knows? But I'm not sure I'll be trying this location again. The whole experience just didn't sit right with me.

Service is non existent and the atmosphere shows it. If this is the future of fast food, I will eat a peanut butter sandwich and apple for lunch and save the $$$. I miss the interaction with real people, even the confused and over worked rude kids, at least they sneer and chuckle when I ask for a milkshake and they know the machine hasn't worked since Joe Biden was cognitive. Not sure what the remodel cost money wise, but as for customers it cost them one. I hope the automation and putting people out of work for profits bites the owners square in the ass. I am done here and at any location that is more interested in collecting my email to sell than providing decent food at a fair price. I came for lunch, not a collection of BS emails to delete for eternity. I should have checked the reviews first, but it's a McDonalds, isn't the purpose of a franchise to have consistency? Well good luck on that. The food was even bad for McDonald's, and that's saying something when the pitiful Tillmans Corner location is up the road. Must be same unconcerned owner for both. Maybe they can put a black star on the sign of all their locations so I know which ones to avoid, or better yet the company should revoke these franchise sites and sell to an interested owner. Meanwhile there are other food options in the area and I probably don't need to be eating that crap anyway.

OMG what a mess. I have been craving Harts chicken and slaw for a few days, sometimes I need a…read morespicy, greasy, salty fix and their slaw is the best. Took orders around the house and made the drive up the Parkway. Just so ya' realize I drive past the entire range of restaurants from waterfront seafood dining to Checkers to get here. I arrive at what must be the rush hour on a Sunday night 5:15. After my 45 minute wait in line to order (yes I know, should have took the hint) I fall for the 8 piece with a large side trap and order some tenders for Lil' Pug. So my 8 piece dark, spicy and the large side of slaw should scratch my itch. Well don't be fooled, they were certainly not cooking food while I was waiting in line to order, once my order was placed I was able to enjoy a relaxed 30 additional minutes of drive through bliss. I did eventually get my order, I did notice a "handling fee" for I suppose a credit card transaction, yet my receipt clearly reflects I paid cash, which I did. So when she brought me my order, think I showed her that to get my 71 cents back? Heck no, I don't have all night. After my ride home I unpacked my grease soaked bag of delight only to discover I have been shorted my slaw and rolls. I am too hungry at this point to argue, but Mrs Pug grabs the reigns and heads up to retrieve my slaw. I sit down to eat my sideless chicken taking the first bite to discover the greasy is there, salty? Check. Spicy? Whoops forgot that, but I discover there are packets of hot sauce in with the two ketchup packets. ARE YOU SERIOUS? My spicy chicken is stale chicken that has been sitting a bit (I am certain the entire time I was waiting it was sitting waiting to be boxed cause it sure wasn't hot and fresh) and a packet of hot sauce? At least that mess at Popeyes has seasoning ON the chicken. All in all, an experience that reminded me why I go so far between visits to the best take out chicken in a location I drive past twice a day or more. If I could get my damn order right and not get cheated out of a "handling fee" because I paid cash I would sure eat here more often. When the chicken is fresh and hot it is the best, tonight it was dead ass between Churches and the WalMart deli. Next time I want some fried chicken I think I will just take a chance on Popeyes, last time I had that it was great, but that was in New Orleans, not Tillmans Corner.
