While traveling through Parkersburg, I decided to get off the highway for some breakfast. I headed over to the Hardee's on Pike Street (across the street from Gihon Village Shopping Center) since I had a schedule to keep on my long road trip and I wanted something quick, filling, and inexpensive.
I dig Hardee's menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner which offers a good variety of thickburgers, breakfast biscuit sandwiches, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, salads, fried foods, Coca Cola fountain drinks, and sweet treats (ice cream, shakes, cookies, apple turnovers). Several combo meals (sandwich, fries, drink) and value menu items are offered here at reasonable prices. Hardee's is the sister restaurant to Carl's Jr. (western states) with identical and similar menu items with slight variation. Discount coupons can be found in the local paper or this store gives coupons out for the next visit.
I decided to go inside as I arrived here around 9 AM on a weekday morning and the place is moderately busy with mostly older folks eating here. The friendly manager took my order and
I ordered the Hardee Breakfast Platter ($3.89 plus tax), which was actually ready very quickly (in seconds). As soon as I put my change away, my breakfast platter was hot and ready on a tray. The breakfast platter had a folded scrambled egg, fried hash browns, soft biscuits covered with cream sausage gravy and a spicy sausage patty. The breakfast platter was very tasty and the portion was just right, just what I needed! If I had a bigger appetite, I would've order some Cinnamon 'n' Raisin biscuits too!
The dining room was clean during my brief breakfast visit. The older folks were still hanging out here in the dining room sipping their coffees. read more
