An order consisting of a junior cheeseburger took almost an hour to come out of the kitchen due to the disorganization of the staff, which I don't necessarily blame them for considering they were clearly understaffed. In light of this, everything else was an incredible rebound in the right direction. My tenderloin was excellent and my party (even the person whose food took nearly an hour) thought their food was great, too. A definite improvement from my last visit and I applaud them for improving the quality so substantially.

Greeted by Charlotte, we were offered menus and asked for drink orders. We both ordered chicken and dumplings - one of the specials. We learned that despite the relatively early afternoon time of our visit, we got the last two servings of this comfort food special... that told us it had to be popular with the regulars. I had my plate with mashed potato and gravy, my friend had german potatoes and brown beans ... both described as obviously home made and tasty. For desert, my friend had the peach cobbler ... thought it was a little too sweet for him. I had coconut pie and ate every bite while making yummy noises. Two full meals, two pies, two ice teas with refills was $20! A gem and deserves a visit. Breakfast and lunch only...

The jalapeño cheese curds were excellent! They were actually spicier than I had expected. I love jalapeños but many things that are advertised as jalapeño contain just a hint of jalapeño but these were spicy and full of jalapeño. I also ordered a grilled cheese and it was very good too.
