I talked to a bartender and to explain the mistake and they said that's actually official policy, to not give the happy hour price unless you ask for it while ordering. I've never heard of that before. I said that's an unethical policy and they could not have cared less. No apologies, nothing. Now, if it's truly the businesses policy, the employees are just doing their job. They don't have to care, but it would have been nice if they pretended to sympathize.
