The girl automatically added a large drink. i didn't ask for a large drink so she changed it to a small. There was still a .10 cent upcharge . She said the meal comes with any small soda or cafe. I asked why it was still charging the extra amount? She said it's the computer and that's just the way it is. She can't change it. She then said, do you want me to take it off? I said, yes. She says "ok fine! See that wasn't so hard!" I know that these are minimum wage jobs but there was no reason for the disrespect. I went in to speak to the manager Sheryl but she wasn't much better. Not as rude as the person taking the order but gave the same answer as she doesn't know why it automatically charges an upcharge and tried to show me her computer. As a supervisor shouldn't they know why there's an upcharge? I asked her to change it to a small coffee and the upcharge was removed. So I guess we both learned something new today. She should also teach the employees to advise that it's not any small fountain drink or café, but small coffee is what is included. Anything other drink will cost more. Seems that the managers and employees need a bit more training on how to speak with a customer.

It was a little bit confusing on if we went to the main checkout or the one in the corner, which is kind of like a weird restaurant/ gambling area. Anyway, after we figure out what we wanted we waited for the order and ate it on the drive home. It did not package well, even from the store to the car which was like a 10-second walk. The fries were mushy and gross, and I feel like the burger was completely underwhelming. I think steak 'n shake has some of the best burgers. If we were going to stop somewhere local we probably should have done that. That. There's nothing to write home about and they offer a discount on some ice cream that's hand scooped, my partner got some of that and tried it and it was completely freezer burnt. So needless to say we won't be back, but it was I guess. Guess interesting to check out a local spot that I've been curious about. 3/10 won't try again and wouldn't recommend.
