After early church service, my wife, grandkids, and I headed to Hardee's for breakfast around 10am - one of the few food places open that early on Sunday morning. Despite a minor staffing hiccup, we had a really solid experience that reminded me why Hardee's does breakfast right.
The Good:
The restaurant was exceptionally clean, which really stood out and made a great first impression. When we did get to order, the staff was genuinely friendly and accommodating. Most importantly, the food was outstanding. I had the gravy biscuit combo with hash rounds, my wife got the same but added a sausage patty, and the grandkids enjoyed their sausage biscuit combos. Everything came out piping hot and delicious - exactly what you want from a breakfast spot.
The Challenge:
They were clearly short-handed during our visit. We had to wait about 10-15 minutes just to place our order since no one was available at the front counter (they were all busy in the kitchen handling what appeared to be a steady stream of drive-thru orders). I was concerned this would mean slow food service, but surprisingly, once we ordered, our meals came out quickly.
Bottom Line:
It's tough to dock a star when the restaurant was spotless, the staff was friendly, and the food was genuinely delicious. The wait was clearly due to understaffing rather than poor service - you could see how hard the team was working to keep up with demand. For fast food breakfast, Hardee's really delivers on quality. I'd definitely stop by again for a quick bite, and I hope they can get the staffing they need because this location has everything else going for it. read more
