Before allowing me to finish, he dismissed my concerns and stated, "I'm not a back doctor, I can't help you." When I attempted to provide context, including a prior back injury and medical records I brought with me, he refused to review them and instead insisted--multiple times--that my pain was solely due to my weight. He did not examine me, ask follow-up questions, or consider my medical history. His tone was dismissive, and at times he appeared to roll his eyes when I tried to speak. When I shifted the conversation to the reason for my visit--discussing my treatment plan and medication (Mounjaro)--he again interrupted me and incorrectly insisted that the medication cost was $300. I explained that my pharmacy quoted $1,300 and offered to show proof, but he dismissed my input and continued to argue rather than listen. Throughout the visit, I felt talked over, disregarded, and disrespected. I left without my concerns being addressed and without any meaningful care or guidance. Patients deserve to be listened to and treated with respect--this experience did not meet that standard. I would not recommend this provider based on my experience.

When you call the office, your call is handled by a third-party answering service whose only function appears to be taking messages. If you need to speak directly with the office, it is nearly impossible, as they will not transfer your call to the appropriate staff member. More concerning was a recent experience involving my brother. He had an appointment and was evaluated by the doctor. During the visit, it felt as though I had to repeatedly provide information and guidance regarding his care. After the examination, my daughter, who accompanied us, immediately asked my brother to wash his hands because she noticed dried blood on the examination table where he had been sitting. This is completely unacceptable. Exam rooms and examination tables should be thoroughly cleaned and sanitized between patients. The blood was clearly visible along the side of the table and should have been noticed when the paper covering was changed. It gave the impression that basic cleanliness and patient safety protocols were not being followed. I am extremely disappointed and disgusted by this experience. As a longtime UCLA patient, I expected a much higher standard of care, cleanliness, and attention to patient concerns. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously and that steps are taken to improve both patient service and infection control practices.

I was greeted by everyone in the office warmly. The office was super efficient and everyone was clearly playing on the same team to ensure great care for all patients.
