The restaurant looks to be renovated and felt welcoming. We understood that it was under new ownership. The staff are very friendly and the food was fresh and delicious. There were so many dishes we wanted to try but we settled on the butter shrimp and the 7 ounce Swiss and mushroom burger. Very flavorful and service was fairly quick. Ok, so this place refused access to the restuarant for 2 obviously disabled individuals with Certified Service Animals with proper documentation (certification and doctor's note). I filed a formal complaint multiple times via email and they have since refused to respond. While this place looks incredible, food was mediocre and service was atrocious. It was embarrassing to have them confront us at the door in front of all customers and staff. Then to sit there and argue with us about our documentation saying they wanted more. I am now filing a complaint with both the BBB and HRTO Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario. I do not recommend this place for ANYONE disabled unless you wish to be accosted at the front door and grilled on your condition. read more

Service was friendly and quick however the food is "sub-par" as another reviewer said. Wish we would've passed on this place. Cesar chicken salad was meh at best, crispy chicken wrap with frozen fries was unappealing. Calimari was ok but thick batter and chewy. Neither of us finished. We had a beer and I got a cooler $90. I'd highly not recommend this place, the prices are way to extreme for the food you're getting. No chance we'd ever come here again. read more

Nice view and decent food, staff are friendly. Would love to see more homemade items on their menus, as the restaurant is in an amazing location. It's more of a local place, so I don't think they try very hard. Sad, as this place can make killer business if they were more invested in their menu. read more

I came thinking I was going to have brunch...but they said it was only up to 11AM...so I opted for some ribs and mashed potato...and I ended up thankful that I didn't go for eggs...the ribs and mashed potato hit the right spot...tender, savoury and most importantly, it was piping hot. This is a lovely location on the water near a small and tranquil marina. The food is tasty and home made however we found all of the portions slightly small. Even the 'Hungry Man' was less than expected. We were surprised to have rather small pancakes delivered cold and without any butter - and unfortunately the butter took some time to arrive after it was requested somewhat negating it's usefulness. Overall a great location with the right approach but could use some adjustments to hit it out of the park. read more

On a road trip along 401, this 20 minute detour was well worth it. Cute, restaurant in a small marina town, with very good home made food. I highly recommend the Seafood Chowder. We both loved it. Tip: call first, seasonal hours fluctuate. read more

Took my husband out for a birthday brunch. It was a beautiful day out so we sat outback on the patio. I ordered a Caesar, it was delicious and Jim had a frosty Beau's beer. The waitresses were lovely people and our breakfast was very good. It's a quiet out of the way location, the view is beautiful and relaxing. I would definitely be back. We went to town while camping nearby. This is a very little nice breakfast place. Right by the water and friendly service. The food is very reasonable priced and the view of the lake is amazing. We found a lot of local people here so you know it is nice. read more

Very cute small café right on the water Small but satisfying selection. Brighton is definitely a retirement area so this is a grate place to bring your parents or grandparents. The seafood chowder is a solid 7out of 10 and. most the menu items are classic small town. read more

Sunk. I arrived with a hungry vegetarian. She asked for an appropriate appetizer, and was served a salad containing bacon. What's worse is she was left 45 minutes with that in front of us, and was no alternative offered. We waited and nearly left ... but then received that days "special". It was poorly done and cold, but lets leave that (and the flies) out of this matter. The summary = that we were handed a bill to pay for a 60 dollar meal for two with no gesture regarding the mistake or the obvious bad experience. Not even compensation for a wilted salad. We did not tip. I told them I would return on a later day to resolve. So I returned at a quiet time without customers listening. Spoke to the owner, who remembered that day. Yet her clear response was "I don't know anything about this, except that my waitress was in tears that day". There was no interest in the details nor any desire to retain me as a customer. Where does that leave a prior customer who tried to be supportive, only to be outright offended and left without a proper conversation? We were lost by Brighton Bay and stopped to use the washrooms - stayed for lunch. Fresh from scratch food (hard to find in ther area) great chowder, Burgers - don't order fries - there is no deep fryer here... and friendly service. Recommended if you can find it use your GPS. read more
