DON'T SERVICE YOUR CAR HERE…read more We purchased a car from this garage in August 2019. The purchasing went smoothly and we were happy with the service we received at the time. We were reassured that the 2nd hand car we purchased had been fully serviced in every way. Fast forward 9 months and we book the car in for a check-up. At the check-up, they immediately do a wheel alignment which apparently needed to be done straight away, even though this is not something I'd ever noticed driving the car previously. This ran us up $450, after which they presented a further quote for $2,200 of work that needed to be 'urgently' done. This is a significant bill to be presented with less than a year after buying the car and was over 25% of the total initial cost of the car. We decided to look into the quote a bit closer and have found the prices to be completely extortionate, and that's making the assumption that these changes were actually needed in the first place (nearly 2 months on from the service and the car is still running fine, despite the 'urgent' fixings that were apparently needed. Furthermore, after driving away from the service I was actually stopped on the highway at traffic lights to be informed that my skid guard was dragging along the floor. Yup, the mechanic didn't even screw the skid plate under the car back properly and it was dragging along the ground. I had to run the car down to a different car garage on my lunch break from work to get it fixed. I'm not instilled with much confidence in the service at this point but unfortunately, it gets worse. One of the items they said needed to be replaced was the cabin air filter. We purchased one online and thought we'd do this job ourselves. This would have been fine, except the screw for the air cabin filter is now completely threaded. So either the mechanic threaded the screw when checking and didn't bother to replace it, or they did not check the air cabin filter at all and therefore didn't notice the threaded screw. I emailed all of my concerns to Mazda and have given them over a week to respond, but just tumbleweeds at this point. I'm sure that they are not the only garage preying on consumers like a pack of hungry wolves, but this level of negligence and dishonest practices is totally unacceptable. We will never be giving Harris Mazda our business again and strongly advise looking elsewhere for your automotive needs. We will be getting the car checked by a local mechanic. It will be interesting to see if their view of the car matches up with what we were told. I'll update the review if there are any further updates in the coming weeks.

Literally the worst customer service…read moreand purchase experience of my life 47 years on this earth and I've seen some awful stuff but this place should win an award for worst dealership in Canada. Delivered a leaky vehicle full of water and after driving up and down the island several times over almost a month after purchasing the vehicle dealing with repairs they gave me one final kick in the nuts and left me with barely enough gas to get to the gas station in the hand off at the Campbell river dealership not involved just a handoff point I will never walk into another Ford dealership again as a result of this experience. If you are shopping for a vehicle skip this place you are literally better off going anywhere else. Got a lot to say but the coles notes version is skip this dealership if you value your money and time and want an experience that isn't a hassle.

We leased a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport from Steve Marshall Ford on April 8, 2025. We agreed to a…read more$40,000 all-in price -- signed in writing. But when the final lease paperwork was printed, the total had jumped to $43,695.50. No explanation was given, and no breakdown of the $3,695.50 increase was provided. We were not shown any accessory menu or given a chance to approve or decline the extra charges. These included a $1,995 "SMFL Bundle," $319 for undercoating, a $450 lease acquisition fee, and an $899 documentation fee -- none of which were clearly disclosed or discussed with us. We also came in looking to finance, and specifically asked about Ford's advertised 0%, 0.99%, and 3.99% interest rates. We were told those didn't apply because of a $7,000 rebate -- but that rebate never appeared in the final numbers. Instead, we were told the MSRP was $52,000, even though the official window sticker says $49,930. The "post-rebate" price of $45,000 was mentioned verbally but never appeared on any document. By the end of the day, we had been quoted or shown six different prices for the same vehicle: * $52,000 (verbal MSRP) * $49,930 (window sticker) * $45,000 (claimed post-rebate price) * $43,695.50 (lease capitalized cost) * $47,500 (insurance paperwork) * $40,000 (signed deal sheet) That kind of inconsistency speaks for itself. We've filed formal complaints with the Vehicle Sales Authority of BC, Ford Canada, and other oversight bodies. We've kept full records of everything -- emails, pricing sheets, lease documents, and insurance files. If you're a first-time buyer, please slow the process down. Take every document home to review, and don't sign anything on the spot. Ask more questions than you think you need to. We wish we had.

I asked me if I liked it, after he brushed away my dislikes, with excuses, and fabrications. I was going to walk away but found myself in his office signing a deal. I didn't want to buy it. He uses sales techniques that are very unethical. It is not about the customer but just for him. He got a free trip to Mexico for signing me, and so did the finance guy Jason. I put a clause that if the mildew wasn't gone, the deal was broken. He promised that it would look and smell like a brand new car. ANyhow, in the finance department, Jason got me financing without asking me how much I pay in rent. My rent is $75 more than my pension. I just squeak through. Meanwhile during the process, the price on the window was too much for me...and too much for that car. While Devon was writing me up, he said that management no longer was selling it for that price; it was higher. He never told me how much more it was, and I didn't get a chance to say that, that was unacceptable because I wouldn't be able to afford more. Then in the finance department, Jason said that they don't sell cars for less than $17,000, so he upped the price even more. He seemed to be talking to himself, because he didn't say whether that was alright. He got me financing which I wasn't even interested, at that point, in doing. I went back twice to sniff out the mildew. The first time I went back, I noticed mud on the seats. He said, "Oh no, they don't do a full clean, just the dash and stuff like that, so he said, for me, he would shampoo the seats, which he probably only did for the front ones. The last time I went back, the mildew was still there. The manager asked me why I wanted to buy a car if I knew that there was mildew. He thought he was going to catch me with deception that he could point back at me. I said, well, he said that he would fix it. Devon looked like he just lost the game. I very fortunately got out of the deal. As well, when someone has financing checked too many times by businesses, without buying, it looks suspicious to the credit companies. They had absolutely no regard or car about whether my finanacial situation collapsed, as long as they made a sale. That is really extremely dishonest. I told a bank teller my story, and she said the same thing happened to her. She got entangled in what she felt was the clutches of a vulture, that she couldn't get out of. She also did not want to buy her car, because now she is on the edge finanacially. THese people take sales courses, which are the same courses they taught to soldiers of war. This has to stop. People are on the edge financially right now, so they don't need an extra push over the cliff. Devon should not be doing sales. i tried to tell him that he was doing wrong, but he said that he didn't force me. Yes he did, and he knows it.

Bought a 2016 Hyundai Elantra Sport from them. Noticed my engine sounded like a diesel and they…read moretold me it was my ac compressor (ac was still working when they told me that) and so I got my ac compressor replaced. $2500 out of my pocket because the insurance they upsold me didn't cover it. The issue was still there and I took my car back in, they said there was no issue with my car and the noise was normal. I took my car to a second mechanic because I knew something was wrong, 5 minutes into this random mechanic looking at my car he said I need a new engine. At this point I had been in and out of the dealer and so mentally drained because they told me it was my ac compressor, and kept telling me the engine noise was normal (it wasn't). I asked my partner to go in because I figured they would take a man more serious than me and they mentioned a recall on the hyundai engine in the Elantra I bought. When I got this car I was advised all recalls were completed (example: the trunk latch). They said they would take a picture of my engine and lowe and behold the borescope showed scoring on my engine (see the first picture). I got a replacement engine and all I got for their misdiagnosis and telling me my engine was normal was an apology from Brody. An apology for their errors that costed me time off work, stress, and $2500.00 out of my pocket for a car they had mentioned was reliable. I had driven this car after and mentioned shaking after my engine replacement which they offered me a trade in for my issues. None of the cars they had were cars I wanted and they advised the sales person I spoke to would contact us. They never did. They advised me my car would survive the drive from Nanaimo to Ontario and I believed them. It didn't. My "new engine" now has the same issue as the engine prior which is in the second picture attached. Less than 2,000kms later and this is the third engine in a car I purchased in June of 2024 which Ben sold me as a reliable car and which the mechanics have advised me would survive the drive back. I have since traded this car in and now I'm suffering the consequences of not only being down $2500 but I also have negative equity as I haven't even had the car for a year. At the time of purchasing the vehicle I was advised this was a reliable car by Ben who said he wanted his girlfriend to purchase the car. I had to get brand new tires immediately because the tires were cracking, paint was chipping on the hood immediately, and the ac compressor was a misdiagnosis for an engine issue they were very well aware of. The two other hyundai dealerships one in Winnipeg which took the borescope picture in the second photo, as well as another dealer in Ontario were both astonished by the terrible service level I received by Wheaton Hyundai.

Said no of course and then noticed the majority of vehicle entering were getting the message on the overhead monitor that an alignment was needed. Then after doing the recall was told that there was a major leak and the solution was a repair/replace that would cost $2500 as well as a smaller brake issue. I was quoted about $3000 total. Had the car looked at by a different service center- no need for an alignment, no issue with the brakes and the issue was an oil filter that was not fully tightened and was leaking a little bit. $85 later I have the tires rotated, brakes looked at and an oil change. I can't believe what they try to get away with.
