Stumbled this little place by an accident but I'm so glad…read more First off: the area is super nice. Stunning massive homes. Some are gated. Most are just stunning. Massive beach. You can use the scenic way all the way into downtown. Beautiful drive! Now the park: it's an off leash dog park. I haven't been to any off leash dog parks in Canada except for Whistler. It's a gorgeous dog beach Baci and I love going for swim. Just take about .6 hours drive. Way too far. So glad to have found this. It's a beautiful, hikable dog beach. Baci had so much fun swimming, he went straight to the deep end while most dogs stay on land. He also had fun stealing sticks :P Trick was getting him to leave. He didn't want to at all. The paths are narrow and when it gets busy it's not good for biking. I think part of the park is off leash but not exactly sure about that. It is a dog park though. It has a nice view of the Fraser River and has a bit of a beach, but again for playing fetch with your dog and stuff like that, not really for sunbathing or anything. There are also a few piers that are kinda cool. There is a small parking lot and lots of roadside parking. Like I said, it's ok if you wanna come for a walk, walk your dog or even have a picnic. Not sure if I saw any picnic tables but there are benches.

To start, of all the dog parks i've been to since i've moved here, the people by far are the nicest. they spend a lot of time with their dogs and there are a lot of families here, which is really nice to see. Located just north (i believe) of the airport, there is a large parking lot and a short walk to the beach. there is a path going to the end (which we didn't get to) and while there is a lot of big rock separately the river from the beach, there are substantial cleared areas so the dogs have easy access to the water in several places. As it was so hot there were a lot of dogs in the water - however there was a fairly strong current so i wouldn't advise encouraging your dog to fetch unless they are good swimmers. I met a lovely lady when i first arrived who gave me a layout of the land. she said if i walked there during low tide there was a great area towards the end of the park (you could tell it was the end because there was a pirate sign) where we could walk out quite a ways. will look forward to spending more time there when the weather is a bit cooler!

Nice park with a really weird layout…read more Parking here is not the best. On the N side there's a winding street that ends in a tiny lot. On the S side, there are spots running along Garrett. The strange thing is that the N and S sides of the park aren't connected by car road. The road on the N side is narrow and windy, and everyone (illegally?) parks on the side of the road. Super sketchy in terms of potential hit and run. I had to drive back out of the park once I realized I was on the wrong side and that the roads weren't connected. There is no lot on the S side, so parking is a war zone. I feel bad for the residents there. Once the parking is out of the way, the park itself is quite nice. There's a baseball diamond, kiddie water park, lacrosse court, and swimming pool. Something for everyone. With that said, everyone I saw there was baking as there simply aren't enough trees to provide shade. This would be my next biggest complaint. The park is honestly a bit too busy for my liking. The fact it's located along a busy street (North/Columbia) really doesn't help. Personally I would pick another one of the many others for hosting events.

This park which bears his name is a lovely green area situated between downtown and Yaletown. There are quite a number of activities here intended for children, so it's a great place to stop when you're traveling as a family :-)

Great for kids and dogs alike. Lots of playground equipment, grass to sit on, tables to sit at, a fast flowing stream, a fountain, and off leash for the dogs and puppies in your life ! Easy to get to, centrally located on Richards and Davie street.

You can find free parking by the residential area South of 7th Ave around Laurel St, and walk across the little park bridge which extends the park over the busy 6th Ave. Good variety of terrain for dogs to play - field, pond, waterfall, hills, woods, bushes... Friendly people and well-behaved dogs.

It was quite full on a Saturday afternoon but we managed to get a spot. The other side has more parking lots as that's where more activities are - swimming pool, disc golf course, lacrosse box, and sports field. We were closer to Lost Lake, so we started our walk from there. I liked how there were trail markers along the way, with maps at major intersections so you could find your location. We did the interlaken trail from Lost Lake to Mundy Lake, followed by the lakeside loop around Mundy Lake. Then we did part of the Perimeter trail back to Lost Lake and out of the park. The map looks big and quite daunting to walk. But it is a pretty easy walk but mostly flat ground. I love the trees and fall foliage. I learn there is a big leaf maple tree and the leaves are huge. Bears live in the park and we didn't see any. We also didn't see any painted turtles, which live in Lost Lake area. There are lots of fungi and mushrooms growing on the tree trunks. The off leash dof trail is also nearer the Lost Lake entrance. Maybe that's why we saw more people with dogs parked there. This is my new favorite park to walk. The longest trail is the Perimeter trail at 4km round trip. The others are 1 km to 1.5 km.

Park visitors can enjoy a nice recreation experience here because it offers something fun for all ages -- nice trails, baseball diamond, dog off-leash, lacrosse box, newly renovated outdoor pool, kid's play area, off-road cycling and even a nine hole disc golf course, etc. Also, I appreciate this park because there is a CC Market Concessions, opened during the summer season, conveniently open from 10am to 6pm daily. I like hassle free picnic when one can buy foods like hot dogs, wraps, chips, ice cream and drinks at the park when hungry. Parks with food options is nice for folks like me who wants to stay in this park longer and didn't pack any picnic foods. Huge parking lot is available for free but parking spots could be challenging on weekends and busy event days so do budget time accordingly for parking.

Nice big rectangular park by Pattullo Bridge…read more Parking is availalbe in a couple of lots by the baseball diamonds. This park has quite a bit of stuff. Gardens, the baseball diamonds, some tennis courts, a soccer field, and even a playground and water park and picnic area. I guess the only real downside to this park is that it's quite noisy as it is located right next to McBride Blvd. There are a couple of pedestrian bridges to get across the road though, which is nice.

Queen's Park is a fantastic part of New Westminster…read more Offering picnic benches, an off-leash dog area, playgrounds, a spray park, as well as tennis and pickleball courts... I'm sure I'm missing some other fantastic amenities. In addition is the beautiful rose garden which is often used as a wedding venue. Did you know Queen's Park is one of seven New Westminster parks to allow responsible drinking within designated areas? That's right! So bring a bottle of your finest vino out with the picnic basket when you visit.
