There are a number of positive adjectives I could use to describe how welcoming and hard working she is, but they would probably come short of actuality. She makes childcare a top priority. In addition, she make you and your children feel like a priority. She has addressed any concern (I haven't had many) with prompt actions. Thanks again to people like Jackie for helping be a constructive person in child learning!

Well, My princess daughter starts last year in the preschool and I'm very thankful and appreciate their work, the way they teach the kids, The activities they plan, the room they decorate, and their friendships-- it's all incredible, and it's helping our daughter (and us!) believe that school is fun, which is incredibly important. My daughter will be in kindergarten next year, and she's ready for that, she can write her name and trying to read full word too in addition to counting and art etc. The preschool have fun classes every week like music, dance and happy feet class and monthly programs like parent night out, or a special visitor like the book mobile or a magician or baby kangaroo and horses (they will come in the next two days). This preschool is cool and very special Thanks for everything!

The Director Joanne, Assistant Director RJ, and Toddler Teachers Ms. Cami and Ms. Helen have been a God-send. They have and continuously uphold high standards, truly care about the wellbeing and education of your child, and are genuinely invested in having your family as a part of their community. It was a steep learning curve for myself, being anxious entrusting my treasure and heart to complete strangers, but through transparent communication and above and beyond efforts from the individuals above, trust and bonds were quickly built. The teachers are always focused on interacting with the children at their level and are so engaged during every moment of everyday. Both teachers put in so much time and effort, not only for the children, but also the classroom environment, so that the children truly get the best experience possible!! The consistency of attendance with the teachers are also outstanding and rare for the field!! My husband and I truly feel so grateful for these 4 individuals in helping our child during this crucial development period in her life and for helping us, her parents, get through the difficult pages of these early chapters **pictures depicting children have been edited and screenshotted to protect their privacy**

From the very beginning, the environment has felt warm, welcoming, and supportive. The teachers and admin staff are so kind and caring, and it's clear they truly love what they do. They always take a few minutes to chat during drop-off and pick-up, which makes me feel connected and reassured about how my little one's day is going. The staff always rave about my little one and how cute and wonderful they are. Warms my heart. One of my favorite things is receiving pictures throughout the day. It's so comforting to see my little one smiling, playing, and being well cared for while I'm at work. I also really appreciate how the teachers partner with parents and share Montessori activities we can try at home. It's been so special to learn simple ways to support my child's development and continue some of the same learning and exploration outside of school. I'm so grateful for the care and attention the staff provides, and it has given me such peace of mind knowing my baby is in such good hands. I would absolutely recommend Evergreen Academy Montessori to other families looking for a nurturing, supportive environment for their children.

After the Fall of 2022, it has been more like…read morea hostile takeover in comparison to the well-run Montessori School that we had been enrolled in for almost three years prior.   These are just a few documented situations I have seen in the past 18 months that have made me un-enroll and leave these reviews and reports to various groups.   1 Teacher turnover. There has been a concerning amount of teacher turnover, teachers who have been teaching for multiple years, had continued education and training in the Montessori world. They valued the education and structure they were giving and teaching to children. They left for lack of organization, and violations of children's safety (medicine mix-ups, observations of students being grabbed, put in restraint time outs, children being cut down for what they wore or were given to eat from home. False situations are being documented targeting children they don't want to work with anymore). They left because of not being paid correctly, not having the correct ratios or ages in the classroom, not being given adequate breaks, and being threatened by office employees that listen to conversations from the cameras throughout the buildings. These teachers are now being replaced with "walk-in applications" teachers with no experience. There has been no confirmation that background checks are even being done.   2 Communication on school closings, and fees. One minute they are a school and go according to the Everett Public School calendar for days off/snow days. One minute they are a care facility and want to do days off for conferences for two- and three-year-olds. They seem to change the way they run things based on what is convenient for them. There is no rhyme or reason. As a parent, you are just at the mercy of the poorly communicated, and illy timed messages from the app.   3 You will NEVER get a callback; three observed concerns were so concerning that the owner was called directly. All three times she answered her phone, she declared that the situation was concerning and did try to communicate her dedication to safety but yet... she continued to allow her office employees to make some major mistakes without real repercussions on them. She may be dedicated to safety by handing out money for new locks on a few doors but that is about all that is seen. There is never a call back on a true solution.   4 Not Montessori anymore. They may have 1-2 teachers that have previous Montessori backgrounds, or a little continuing education. But generally, outside of the materials and the "rug play" there are no Montessori foundations or accreditations. Just the Montessori payment monthly.   Care is hard to find but keep searching.

Our 3 year old daughter has been going to Victoria Montessori for about 8 months. We were looking…read morefor a preschool with a balance of structured activities, and exploration oriented learning. The larger, more "traditional" preschools we visited were often chaotic, and the teachers looking frazzled. The environment at Victoria Montessori was calmer, and felt less like we were putting our kid in a bounce house for the whole day. The educational philosophy of the Montessori style is evident from the many activities they have set out. The school is family run; Sandra (the director) and her family are quite kind and patient with the kids. Sandra is more involved with the administrative aspects of the school, but she is still there every day and our daughter likes her. The others, Melissa and Ms. Kenley (who are there part-time) are very sweet and take a genuine interest in the well-being of the kids. Melissa is often there in the morning and is always cheerful, and helps get our daughter excited for the day even when she's a little sleepy from dropping her off early. Gary and BJ, who help open and close the school, are also very friendly and good with the kids. It's hard to know how what your child is doing at school every day, but since she's started, with a little help she can count to 100 and do simple addition/subtraction, she knows all the letters and can start sounding out words, and can write recognizable letters on her own. When we're at the bookstore or library, she recognizes books (by the cover) that she's seen at school and can tell us what the story is about. Of course, so much of your child's development is reinforced by what you're doing at home, but we're very happy with how she's progressing at school. At a minimum, we all like her teachers, she tells us she has a good day almost every day, and comes home with art or letter tracing she's worked on. Outside of school hours (8:45 to 3:15) there isn't really any active teaching or structured activity and the school is day-care, though this is typical of all pre-school programs. They do provide snacks, although it's not always the most nutritious (animal crackers, or a muffin). Sometimes on Friday afternoons after school hours, they show Disney movies, but otherwise don't have screen time during the rest of the week. The outdoor play area could use some renovation, but maybe that will come when they get more kids. At time of writing, there are only 7-10 kids there each day (fewer in summer) with 2 or 3 teachers. If you're considering bringing your child here, do ask Sandra and the teachers about their teaching philosophy and decide if it's a good fit for your family. Nothing can replace the parenting that takes place when are home with your child, but we're grateful for the love and support that Victoria Montessori has offered for our daughter.

Having worked in one for many years I know how hard it is to give every child the attention he deserves. I also thought that a while a Montessori school would have been a better fit for my little guy it would be too expensive. I was pleased to find that the rates at VMS are very affordable. Even more comforting was the fact that he was their first student! So I knew that he would have an incredibly easy transition from being at home. I know that both Mr. Randy and Mrs. Sandra love having my little monster in their class and it makes me feel great knowing that he is happy there. The one thing that would get them a 5 star rating from me is if they took electronic payments like cards.

It's a pretty special place and we would highly recommend. Our daughter has started sounding out words before starting kindergarten thanks to Miss Ella and Hana's work with her and finished the year much more confident than when she walked in. Our children participated in summer session together and thrived with Christi and her staff. We came from a Montessori school in a different city that had outside play before and after and spending the whole session in the classroom is not an issue at all. There's a park outside where people often meet after class and lunch bunch available for and extended hour. Plenty of social emotional learning happens in the classroom through shared activities. If you're looking for a real preschool experience for your child we would recommend Edmonds Montessori in a heartbeat.
