It basically tastes like a liquid mudslide with multiple liquors used. Flavorful, not tart nor dry. It was smooth and easy to drink. Their menu is online and covers a huge variety of liquor types. They also have a snack menu. Follow them on Instagram as they will post if they are closed for a private event. If you are staying at a local beach hotel, it's an easy walk to avoid the hassle of parking.

The bar is located on the third floor and we took the elevator to get up there. The atmosphere is an open outdoor bar with tiki themed decor and a DJ. The music was super loud which was not appealing to us but we found a secluded table that was away from the noise. The views from the rooftop are spectacular even if it was way too loud. We ordered one round of drinks and all of them were delicious! I ordered the buttery chi chi which was not super strong which was perfect for me. My partners ordered stronger drinks and both were delicious. The ratings on their menu are definitely accurate for what you can expect from a liquor forward perspective. The bar was slammed so it took a little bit to get our drinks but everyone was very nice. We didn't order any food but would probably return for drinks!

The evening was suppose to cost $37.50 a person. I paid $100 for both of us in cash and the owner, Vincent, who said he would bring the change to my table, NEVER brought it over. Instead he gave us some if his bottled pasta sauce. The meal was mediocre at best. The talent was worth it, but weeks later, I heard the owner stiffs the talent on multiple occasions. These kids work hard for their money, and I have zero tolerance for weasels like him! I have urged my friends to not support this place. You'll get better Italian food at Carrabba's!!

We chose The Sage (currently known as The Palazzo, still the same owner) in August 2013 because…read morethey rolled the venue cost and food cost together in one per-head rate, they allowed us to bring in our own hard liquor, and they added a dessert table (a supposed $500 value). The wedding coordinator, Christina, was very helpful in arranging for our needs. The total cost for 5 hours at the venue, 4 hours of open bar (beer wine, mixers, and soda) and food for 80 guests was roughly $7,700. The Sage (Palazzo) allowed us to make a $1,000 deposit and pay a monthly charge on my credit card so we would not have to pay the entire amount in one installment. During the time between August 2013 and November 2014, the venue would forget to charge my credit card. I would have to remind them to charge me so that my wife and I could afford the wedding. For a period in the early winter, they neglected to charge my card, so the payments went up accordingly. This was annoying because we had carefully budgeted for the wedding. Later they had credit card issues, so I had to send them checks. Periodically, I would need to inform them of the payments made and the balance. They did not keep very meticulous records. I sporadically received invoices, and they were often missing a payment. In May of 2014, we learned the coordinator, Christina, had left The Sage (Palazzo) when we tried to contact her. I cannot comment on how busy they were at this time, but from my personal point of view it would have been polite to let us know whom to be in contact with for any wedding issues. Our new contact, Ellie, had to get up-to-speed with us very quickly. She tried very hard to make sure everything was going smoothly. She informed us in either August or September that our previous agreement to bring in hard liquor could no longer be honored. The venue decided to tell us this at nearly the last minute. They said they could still do the open bar portion, but made no serious attempts to correct the situation until I sent them a scanned copy of the contract. On the day of the wedding, the venue looked very nice. The Sage (Palazzo) has a Mediterranean feel. There is soft lighting which made for an intimate setting. Overall, the ceremony went off very well. The acoustics were nice, and there was enough room for our 80 guests to sit comfortably and watch the ceremony. The Sage (Palazzo) opened the bar and served appetizers while my wife and I took pictures. We did not get a chance to enjoy the appetizers, but our guests said they were good. Our DJ did an excellent job as master of ceremonies throughout the night. I initially did not want a DJ, but he proved his worth. The dinner was adequate. My guests enjoyed their meal, but I thought the food was just so-so. Our free dessert table was... tolerable. It was a bit odd because there were desserts like cannoli near bowls of smarties. There was also a mixed bowl of skittles and M&M's. I have no idea why someone would mix those two. The dessert table was listed at $500, and I would have been upset if it were not a free addition. I brought home-brewed beer for my guests (which I cleared with the venue well in advance) and they served it during the reception. At one point, they claimed to have run out. It turned out they had just left half of it in the back. They also claimed to have run out of the Gentleman Jack, Kaluha, moderately-priced scotch, and Bailey's when we collected our liquor at the end of the night. I am not suggesting any impropriety, but I am curious why the most expensive liquors were gone (especially when only 2 or 3 guests mentioned drinking the Kaluha and Bailey's). My father-in-law called about this, but did not hear back. There was also an unpleasant smell during the reception that nobody could pinpoint. I have no idea what it was, but it was distracting at times. Synopsis: I think the people at the Sage (Palazzo) are nice. The atmosphere is enjoyable. Downtown Clearwater is a nice area with lovely beaches and affordable hotels. If we could go back in time, my wife and I would have chosen another venue. I cannot recommend this location to anyone planning a wedding. While it is convenient to have the food and venue costs lumped together, I do not feel like I was able to trust them to keep their financial records straight. I personally did not have a high opinion of the food or the way the wedding was coordinated.

I wanted to leave 5 stars... But couldn't I want to start by recognizing the phenomenal staff members who made a positive impact. Brendan at the front desk provided a wonderful check-in experience. Randy in the Mainstays Tavern took VIP-like care of us every time we visited, as did Lexi during our dinner. Jordan out folding all the pool towels. David maybe giving rides via golf cart to beach - very nice and appreciated. I also want to thank staff for the thoughtful birthday note and the "sun and fun" package waiting in our room. Additionally, Debra was incredibly kind when we stopped in for breakfast!! However, I found the digital portal communication to be less than desirable. I had to report a smoking violation at least four times. I also reported guests using the hot tub after hours due to the noise while I was trying to get my family to bed. While I did speak with the front desk night manager, who was apologetic regarding these repeated nuisances, I left feeling that my value as a loyal guest was not fully recognized. I appreciate the high level of service provided by your hospitality team and hope this feedback helps improve the response consistency for future stays. There was just too many things that left us disappointed on our first trip here. There are 2 EV charging spots which was a lifesaver this trip and being a trolley stop was absolutely amazing for getting over the bridge into Clearwater Beach stress free. We saw pictures of a tennis and pickleball court online but those have been demolished and replaced by a grassy area :(. Thankfully sand bay tennis park is less than a mile away and the trolley does stop there. 3 volleyball courts which were great and sunsets 10/10! The Easter Egg hunt was a fun and unexpected treat for the kids :) well organized. I checked in early on the app, knowing it was a holiday weekend and there may not be rooms available early. We were able to pick up wristbands right away but we later found out these were not watched or enforced anywhere. In fact, you do not even need a key to enter the building from the pool/beach. I believe this added to the insane crowding at the pool. Could not find a pool chair at ALL - very stressful and had to set our belongings on the ground in order to swim. They could not keep up with the towels either and by 3-4PM, you could not get one at all. The pool bar had short hours and the line was insanely long every day. The pool bar shared the same line as ordering the food truck food which added to that chaos as well. On Friday the food truck shut down early as well. There was one water dispenser in the lobby but it was always empty. I felt like a bother asking the mainstay tavern for water. The food there was very good and we ordered to go. The gym was amazing 10/10. The beds were AWFUL 0/10 they are on a platform with absolute no give at all - ROCK hard!!! Had to walk across the street to the other Marriott location to get espresso coffee. The extra charges are too much - says $30/night to park but after taxes and fees it is $35 a night and $25 a night for the resort fee which doesn't cover anything but bikes as the trolley is already free. It is $45 to rent 2 chairs and an umbrella at the beach. The resort fee should offset this cost!!!!! The location is amazing but these extra charges are just too much and our stay left a lot to be desired. I also had a fraud charge immediately following paying for parking even though I used the QR code at the front desk and have not used that credit card for any other purchases - I wish this was charged directly through the hotel instead. It is not gated.

The staff was very helpful and answered all of my questions, from parking details to resort fees. Since my friends were also staying at the hotel, I requested to be on the same floor if availability allowed. I was pleasantly surprised to find that we were placed directly across the hall from each other--thank you to the staff for accommodating that request! The staff was friendly overall, and check-in was easy. The lobby is located on the sixth floor, which is a bit unique but not an issue. Parking is included in the price, and the in-and-out access to the lot was a great perk. I stayed in a room on the 10th floor with a pool view and was pleasantly surprised to with an ocean view too. It was great to enjoy coffee on the balcony! The room was clean and spacious. That said, the desk chair was noticeably scuffed on the back, and the bathroom mirror had scratches on the glass--both items that could use replacing. The hotel itself was quiet at night, which made for a restful stay. The next morning, I tried the breakfast buffet, which was disappointing. There were no hot food options such as eggs or oatmeal, and the coffee was not very good. While I was able to find something to eat, the breakfast offerings could definitely be improved. Overall, I would stay here again when visiting Clearwater Beach, though I would likely skip the breakfast buffet next time. One thing to note is that during busy seasons, the elevators--especially between the parking area, lobby, and guest rooms--can get crowded, which may result in longer wait times. I did not stay during busy season but it is something to consider if you come in the summer.

I was not expecting the garden or all the statues. I came here for the Lobster Festival so I had a chance to walk around. Both gardens are spectacular. I think they are the highlight of this events center. Since I wasn't here for a normal event, I didn't get the full vision of what it could look like. The inside area was spacious and nice as well. Everything is really clean and the building seems well taken care of. There are a million photo ops here for a wedding or dinner type event. All the Grecian details make a spectacular backdrop. From the outside, the building doesn't look like much. I think that's what makes the inside even more shocking. The parking lot is crumbling a little. There was a cone in the middle of a lane so people wouldn't drive over the hole. This is definitely an instance of don't judge a book by its cover. I would suggest coming and seeing this place in person if you are looking to book an event.
