I've been working with Harbor Truck Body for over a decade, and my father worked with them for two decades before me. That kind of longevity doesn't happen by accident. Their sales representatives have consistently been attentive to my customers' needs, and they deliver a quality product every single time. Nobody is perfect, but where Harbor truly separates themselves is how they handle issues. Their warranty department is second to none. They also offer multiple authorized service centers, which makes it easy for end users to get in and out quickly--unlike some other vendors that require customers to return to the original manufacturing facility for repairs. From product quality to after-the-sale support, Harbor Truck Body has earned my trust. The Commercial Truck Guy approved. read more

Horrible customer service spoke to somebody named Tony and he was very rude. Just asking questions you would expect him to be helpful at the end of the day I am purchasing from them. read more

Man I hate to leave a bad review but I had to do to customer service, I called up wanted them to do some freshening up my utility box on my truck. Mind you I have two utility trucks. Harbor makes a great product, great boxes but today I was very very disappointed. I call and asked how much for for a locking bar that closes all the boxes like a master lock. Last week dude told me 2k or around that for installing one on an existing box and to call to Schedule it in, i would have to leave my truck. I was like cool! I'll have them do some new locks etc etc. Well I called to day and they said no we don't work on our older product or install anything on the box after they leave the shop. I know that BS cause I know people who have had work done. But after reading all the bad reviews I have to agree, they SUCK at customer service. I'll just have to find a custom fabricator to build the lock bar, everything else I'll do. Like the old saying goes "IF YOU WANT SOMETHING DONE RIGHT YOU'LL HAVE TO DO IT YOURSELF. Too bad I really like their boxes. read more

Thankfully, I do not run my company like Harbor runs there's. If I did, I'd surely be out of business by now. I ordered a truck with a custom rack. After weeks of delays it finally arrived at the dealership. Much to my surprise it had a normal, standard, not what I ordered rack. At this point I'd already waited 3 extra weeks for the truck. They picked the truck up at the dealer and took it back to their shop. Said it'd be ready in a week. Annoyed, I waited. Finally, 9 days later, the day had come. I had photos texted to me from the dealership of my brand new truck with...... oh, the rack was wrong again..... Fed up, and in desperate need of the truck, I told them to send it and I'd build the rack myself. This is where it gets really good. I spoke with Warren Mason who is supposed to be some high up at the company. He was very quick to apologize and ask what he could do. I said "refund me the cost of the rack". He said "NO PROBLEM!" He requested a w9 and promised a check to me in 10 days. 10 days came and went. Then two months. Finally I emailed him, he apologized and said "the check is in the mail". That was 3 months ago...... come on guys. read more

I used to be a pro harbor truck body guy but like all good things, their quality assurance has slipped, i just bought a service truck in december with a harbor body on it, i noticed rivet heads partially sticking out, the locks won't open all the time because they get jammed from the rivets, my back door wont open now because the rod fell off and its lodged in the hole and i have to take it in for door repair. They installed security bars and scratched the truck, the security bar looks like crap, im just totally dissapointed in them. read more

Very poor customer service .... they charge your card multiple times even after telling you they are going to reimburse you. All of the employees lack communication and are rude. No one here is on the same page... buy from them if you want your card to be charged multiple times for things you did not buy. read more

We were extremely happy with their speed and quality service! Thank you so much Harbor Truck Body.

The person who answers the phone is great, then she transfers me to the "parts manager" and I leave a message, no call back. I call again the next day, same parts manager, he answered the phone, didn't seem the least bit interested in talking to me about what could be a lot of money in parts for and old Harbor pickup body, sent me a .pdf for my credit card info and no quote. Next day, after asking about the price of the pressure struts in addition to everything else I got an e-mail "46 each" 46 each for what, the locks or the pressure struts? What happened to the bumper quote? I sent enough dimensions to build it from scratch. The other parts? Tool box lids? Crickets. I called back. Same very pleasant person answered the phone. Parts "manager" answered, said "we don't have the bumper. 46 each for 6 locks, can't get the pressure struts without the Harbor number" (SUSPA has them on their site, under their number, just no accessories to mount) I said, "Send the locks- here's my credit card." He said, "Don't expect them before next week" I just checked at the bank, credit card has not been charged yet. That was Wednesday, today is Friday. I do this for a living and have NEVER run into anyone with such a poor response. Procrastination kills. Just do the order, if you can figure out how. The more you push off the further behind you get, until pretty soon all the customers have left the building. read more

Don't put anything you want to keep in the bins due to the cheap locks. Anyone with a key that will fit the lock and jiggle it and their in and your tools are gone read more

With no person feelings and nothing to do with the staff. I bought a new cargo van and had two decisions. Harbor or Adrian Steel. My first van had Adrian Steel and I like it. 8yrs later Adrain steel changed up the looks and made them on rolling racks with I didn't care for, and Harbor had a familiar style to my old one. One purchased, the Tool bins didn't have sliders (metal on metal) and the same for the locks. Even worse everything scratch and gets dirty easily. My 8yr old van has a gloss coat that you can't take your finger and run a scratch mark threw it. The sales department is different from where they install and it took awhile to get a quote, because they don't know the part numbers right away. Just another thing, is the prices are 40% more then Adrian's prices and the installation time is until 1pm. Adrian sales there product at Commercial van interiors (one stop shop, open til 5pm and cheaper pricing) without doing my research a head of time, I pretty much got stuck with product I don't like and can't return. read more

I was really impressed by how tough and reliable Harbor Truck Bodies are. I took the tour of the plant and saw the attention to detail, and the high tech precision equipment. But the best part was the family-values and commitment to their customers. I have seen first hand that Harbor Truck Bodies bends over backwards to make their customers happy, so if you have a concern, call them and see how they can help you. They are rugged and tough. One customer rolled his truck and the truck was a write-off--but the Harbor Truck body was not. It saved his life. read more

I had never heard of Harbor until a few years ago and now I wish I never had. Bought a new Ford with the bed already on it. It started rusting withing 45 days. Rust was coming out of every seam and around every hinge. To their credit they agreed to have it repainted. Local GM certified body shop spent 10 days taking the bed apart and repainting it. They showed me that there was very little if any primer under the paint. The rust was so deep in the seams that it started rusting again within 60 days and now is completely rusted through around the wheel wells. The truck has 40K miles on it and the body was undercoated before it ever hit the street. I spotted a couple of other Harbor beds in the area and they look about the same as mine. The body shop said they would try again but has no guarantees that anything would work because the metal was rusted before the original coat was applied. As soon as spring gets here I will let them fix it again and then that truck will be gone. Can't afford to have my only work truck sitting in the shop. This bed has cost me a lot of money in down time in the past and again in the future. Don't buy this bed unless you only work in southern CA where it never rains. read more
