Movie seating is fine, just nothing special (not reclining or heated seats). $15 per person and although we went to a 1pm show, no matinee pricing on weekends. Large refillable popcorn bag was $11. Will never be back. They certainly do not care about allowing intoxicated customers into their theatre's. Last night an intoxicated person was allowed to purchase a ticket and enter the theater and disrupt the movie for everyone else. Management was made aware and nothing was done about it. The intoxicated customer even challenged me to a fight. So,Harbor square theatre i will no longer pay you any money to be abused and verbally assaulted by your intoxicated customers! The theater is clean and beautiful. However, I purchased an iced tea in a bottle and asked if I could have a cup. I was told I would have to purchase a cup. The bottled iced tea was 4.25 and since they didn't have iced tea to serve in a cup, I should have been provided one so I could get ice. Hidden gem for family fun in the Cape May area! Bowling, arcade, virtual golf, movie theater, eats and drinks, and great customer service. Everything was neat, clean, air conditioned, and all at one location. The only drawback is that the bowling is string pinsetter (strings attached to the top of each pin), which isn't as much fun as normal bowling. read more

would avoid this theater at all costs - we bought tickets ahead of time online since they appeared to be going quickly. The tickets were for a noon showing, and when we showed up, the theater was not even open. We could not contact anybody who worked there to try and figure out the issue. Luckily, an employee from a nearby business helped us, and told us there was another location in Rio Grande. Here, we were told there is a website error where the wrong theater location shows up. Up until this point, we have not been helped from anybody at this location at all. Horrible customer service and apparently this is not the only time this has happened. You'd think they would want to fix this if it was a known issue. read more

Located in the center of town on 96th street, this a great theater. There is a full bar and burger restaurant if you want to enjoy some real food during the movie. While the cost is a little high, the theatre is clean and comfortable. The temperatures were just right, and if you order popcorn you add your own butter making it perfect. They also have popcorn flavors you can add. They play all the current releases plus offer some retro movies from time to time for variety. read more

This recently renovated theater is constantly promoted on the radio so we came here about a month ago to see "Book Club". The way it is advertised on the radio makes it sound like its a "Movie Tavern" type theater where you can eat and drink in the theater however, it is more like a mini diner/food area and a theater in the same building. This is probably the smallest movie theater in the area; I think there's only 3 movies (1 for each theater), a refreshment counter, and a food area. But newly renovated although they don't have reserved seating or reclining seats. Also we purchased tickets online and instead of scanning them at the ticket taker stand, they had us go to the refreshment stand so they could figure out how to print them out. The theaters were pretty clean though on the smaller side. Ticket prices are average. Parking can be a little crazy depending on when you go, since it's only metered street parking. read more

Wow! This is what all movie theaters should be like! Average pricing on tickets and concessions with military discount and yummy salty popcorn. In addition you can order a burger and beer or a milkshake! Great way to spend a rainy evening at the beach. As this new theater gets more popular maybe they'll add in those awesome reclining seats. We came in to the restaurant part first and sat up at the bar and was greeted by Kath , very friendly bartender/waitress because someone called out and Kath had additional work to do so the day would go smoothly. With that said Kath was right on with the bar service. I ordered a long Island ice tea and my friend ordered a Tito's on the rocks with a splash of cranberry. Both cocktails were delish. And her service was impeccable , she smiled and running to make sure everyone in her restaurant were being taken care of. Kath was cool and calm and very friendly. We didn't want for anything, and by the looks of the other customers they didn't wait for anything either. Kath packed up our drinks and our leftover food so we could take them in the theater. I depend on captions and they still don't get wi-fi signal to work for the captions device. They said the main theater works best so that doesn't exactly impressed me. They did give me free tickets but seems they don't do anything to get their captions. I didn't go for years and decided to give it a try. Nope, they still don't bother to fix it. So if you are the one that depends on captions, don't bother going. Although if you really want to go, see if they will show the movie at the main theater since I did go one time and captions was working fine. Just they don't have other captions working in other theaters. I hope they get their act together considering this is five years. read more

These guys advertise 7pm show (Maverick). They played 15 mins of local advertising a d THEN another 15 minutes of Holywood ads. Only half of the latter of theses were previews. So incredible that you pay $31.00 to see a movie and have 30 mins of ads to suffer through. We almost walked out. Sure, we had an expectation of 10 mins of fluff b4 the show, but this was abusive!! This is a serviceable movie theater. The screens are small and you cannot reserve a seat, like at most modern theaters, but there are no other options. It's fine for the shore. My bigger issue is the quality of customer service. A staff member screamed--yes, screamed--at me for filming 8 seconds of me and my mother-in-law singing "Hey Jude" during the credits following "Yesterday". We were the only people in the theater. We were singing and dancing. Fine, have a policy against filming in the theater, but consider whether screaming "THAT'S ILLEGAL" and charging across the theater was the appropriate approach. He could have asked politely and it would have been fine, but that's not what happened. read more

Do not use the site to purchase tickets!!! Myself and 7 of my family members pre purchased tickets online. We received confirmation through the site that the purchase was processed, but never received an email. The money was even taken out of our accounts. The staff refused to give us our tickets, and would not accept the proof of the bank statement. Everyone had to purchase their tickets again, and will not be refunded till they receive proof via email, which means we will all have to dispute the charges. The recently renovated and reopened Harbor Square Theatre is the kind of independent movie theater experience that I wish existed in more local downtowns. My family and I recently saw Jason Bourne here on a hot summer afternoon. The building, which once housed the old Stone Harbor Frank 5 theater, has been converted into the new four-screen "Harbor Square" theater with a burger bar in the front and upgraded drinks (including beer) and concessions. The seats have been upgraded to cushy seats that slightly recline, and there's plenty of space in front of each chair. And one of the best things about this theater is that there're no TV-style ads before the previews roll. Overall, this theater has seen a serious upgrade and I can't wait to come back next year to see another movie here. read more

The big theaters are amazing and roomy, these are often reserved for movies that just came out or are popular. The small movie theaters are not the best unless you are tall and can see over the seats but these are only used for movies that have been out for three or four weeks it seems. The prices are reasonable for a movie theater and you can even bring an alcoholic beverage from the bar inside the theater. The staff is usually always friendly also. read more

If I could give this 0 stars I would. i'm hurt. i bought my ticket before hand because i heard the process is extremely complicated once you walk through the door...and ohhhh it was. first of all there was a line outside the door...i was so stressed that when a random guy offered me popcorn i took it. and i ate it. idc. Anyways, once we finally reached the front of the line after about half an hour of standing around we were shot down and told to get back to the back of the line and that the people behind us had been waiting and we can't just budge. I believe it was age discrimination, as we were teenagers but the people behind us were adults. I was in shock. i looked to the friendly grandparents behind me for support but they looked away...major disappointment because i was starting to feel like we had a connection. will i come back? no. well yes there aren't any other options for movie theaters so probably. read more

My friends and I went to the Stone Harbor Theater on Tuesday because the theater is so much nicer than the theater in Rio Grande. Everyone in the restaurant was wonderful to us and the food was delicious. Then we went to buy our tickets. The ticket seller had such an attitude. We felt unwelcomed.
