Cape Square is a movie theater, bar/restaurant, arcade, and bowling alley all in one. They recently added pool tables too! It only opened two years ago so the place is still brand spanking new. The theaters are very clean and nice with surround sound showing. The bowling is pretty cool because you can order food from the restaurant right from the bowling kiosk. It's cool that you can munch on food in between turns in bowling. The pricing for bowling is pretty competitive too. There is a time limit on bowling but the staff is pretty cool, if you are close to finishing; a lot of times they'll extend the time a little to let you finish the game. I don't spend too much time in the arcade but it is nice that they have a good variety of games. They're real games too, not just full of claw machines and coin pushers like most places nowadays. There are actual video games and pinball machines. The bar and restaurant are pretty nice. The food is actually pretty decent. I love their pizza and appetizers. It's a great place to watch a sporting event as well. Oftentimes they'll have specials running for when Philadelphia teams are playing in the restaurant. They also have the games playing on the screens above the bowling lanes. So you can keep up to date and bowl at the same time. I have yet to try the pool tables, but the rest of the establishment is well run, so I really have no reason to think otherwise in this department. Another thing that's cool about Cape Square is that they run quite a few events. They have Magic The Gathering in their party room (which you can rent for events by the way), name that tune nights in the restaurant, and bowling theme nights just to name a few. They do a good job in keeping things fresh and interesting there. At this point, it's basically a community hangout spot now. Best of all, they are open year round every single day. I know that doesn't sound like a big deal to some, but that's huge in a seasonal area where things can get boring after the summer has passed. I have lived in the area for about 7 years now and let me tell you this establishment is so badly needed here. It's a very well run and well kept place. I highly recommend visiting this place if you are ever bored or hungry. It's a good place to spend an afternoon or evening. read more

Really don't want to give my favorite local theatre a low rating but it's sad that the prices are becoming unreasonable and the cleanliness is lacking. The owners aren't putting the effort and care into the place like they had previous years. Went to see a movie with my family tonight. We were in the giant theater and the two workers who went inside to clean the theater pushed all the trash and popcorn under the seats. Some seats were covered in soda too... The theater also charged my family a credit card surcharge fee for using a debit card which is illegal... Overall, watching experience is good. Just the service and cleanliness is bad here. read more

The food was good. I had the cheesesteak and fries, which I would give a 7/10 nothing to rave about, but a solid choice. The hot honey pepperoni pizza was also delicious. This is a great venue for a a family outing as they have a restaurant that includes a bar, a bowling alley, movie theater and arcade all-in-one. It's considered an entertainment center and entertain they do. Add this to your list for family outings and you won't be disappointed!!! read more

Visited on a cloudy day during a visit to the shore. This place was a nightmare. Packed with people that would could barely move. Pool tables were in the middle of the game with no room to move. Quite a few games were not functional. We were done quickly. read more

Have had a few really good experiences here and have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the drinks. The theatres are comfortable and during the times we have gone they have not been overcrowded. I was surprised to learn that you are not able to bring alcohol into the movie theatre. read more

Loved the movie and the seats are comfortable. The theater room is not too large but the audio is very LOUD . If you can bring earplugs for the Action movies. Ladies bathroom was clean . Bringing kids to an R rated movie (Deadpool vs Wolverine) wow I was astonished! The family next to me 2 kids and left all their half eaten popcorn and empty bottles . Not Cape Squares problem, just questionable parenting! read more

We went for dinner on a Saturday night. We were lucky because no one knows about this place yet. It is very nice and beautiful. The food was so good. The bill was high but we ordered so many appetizers and four meals. We had the seafood risotto which they gladly modified. I had a yummy burger with no bun. The burger had a grilled flavored as did the New York strip steak. It was so tender and seasoned so good. The chicken sandwich was also awesome. We loved the appetizers. We did Brussel sprouts, wings, cheesesteak rolls and seafood dip. Everything was excellent. We then went to the arcade and it was a lot of fun. We were the only ones inside but enjoyed every moment. People were bowling but it was not crowded. Everything is brand new and lovely. The movie theatre was new and not crowded. The concession stand has numerous options. They also had live music playing outside and people were dancing. Very cool. read more

We hosted our annual "Back to school" staff get together at Cape Square this week. We booked a party and spent 2 hours bowling eating delicious pizza and having a great time! Justin was great! Got popcorn and was given half a bag of some burnt garbage. I had to ask the counter girl for more in one of the bags because it was almost laughably underfilled. Between the hospital Lobby aesthetic, stringed bowling, overpriced everything, this place is not worth your time or money. Give it 6 months, they won't last the summer. Stick to theaters Cape Square, you're out of your element! read more

This is something Cape May County residents and tourists alike have been waiting for. This is a fantastic place even just to escape the heat. The movie theaters are well maintained, the bowling is quite cheap, and the food is wonderful. There is also a pricey yet great assortment of arcade games and a giant golf simulator. Great place for the family and curing boredom. read more

Their app is terrible. If u need information on a film do not rely on it m. It quoted the wrong times for the films *

I want to improve everything, the bowling sucks, the food is horrible, how can you get popcorn bad? 0/10 the bowling pins won't go down i don't know why the pins have strings, it's low key a scam in your money, if you wanna go bowling don't go there go to island bowl. Do not waste your money on this establishment, for a good movie go to stone harbor or stay home is a better option. Also the maintenance is horrible, and if you want to bowl on a place without running children all up in your business. Don't go there. THIS PLACE IS NOT GOOD read more

I was pleasantly surprised my grandkids had fun. Food was great. All the people that work there were very polite. I would definitely go back Joe S. read more

The only reason I would step in this place would be for the STEPMANIAX machine. I for the life of me couldn't even grasp why its $5 for 2 songs. Lower that shit to 3 songs for $2 and i'd actually spend money in there. Could make so much money off of just me alone daily but I would never spend $5 to play that game, which is the only reason id go in there in the first place. read more

Place has potential. I've been here at least 5 times and they were consistently under staffed with food service. One person serving a bowling alley and bar area creates a frustrating environment. read more

My husband and I were there for a early dinner before the Eagles game today and was very disappointed in the way it's run. We were there the first month after they opened and it was good but this time it was just a mess. We were seated near the bar near the golf game. There were parents sitting outside in the lounge area and kids running back and forth in bar area, right pass people eating. It was constant. Then we had a couple groups of people that were bowling and coming to the bar and literally were butt up against our table. The rudest amazed me. I know it is not the bars fault all the way but the kids running through the bar was crazy. We have been to the one in Stone Harbor quite a few times(and I know they don't have the arcade) and it was never like that. Did not enjoy our meal there at all. read more

This is the new must visit entertainment GEM in Middle Township! The location is convenient for locals and those visiting Cape May County. Lots to do for all ages under one roof. The decor is breathtaking, workers are pleasant and outside garden is relaxing. (Terrible that a couple kids left 1 star reviews). read more

Movie Theater employee kicked me out for checking the time on my phone halfway through the movie and didn't get a refund.

The rating is on the food only. The place has a movie theater, bowling, bar and arcade that look nice. I only ate there and was very disappointed. Cheap ingredients with lots of preservatives. Everything we ordered was like eating at crapplebys afterward. Just about every other place in Rio Grande and capemay has higher quality food. The tenders were the cheap kind, the burger was a diner burger. The fries were a knockoff of McDonalds. The cheesesteak meat was cheap too. The food doesn't match the atmosphere at all. The decore is very nice. If you go there stick to the drinks and activities. read more

My 16 year old son was there on 6/25/24 for his very first date EVER. They went to a movie and he decided to take her to lunch after at the restaurant. He has never done this before, so the whole experience was new to him. Together their lunch was $50, which of course he paid for (I raised a gentleman!), and he said the food was really good. The server forgot his fries, apologized and brought them after they started eating. He was too full to eat them so he got them to go for a co-worker that never has money for lunch. He said he felt bad for the waitress because she kept apologizing for the fry situation and she was really good at her job. He said all he had in his wallet was a $20 bill, so that's what he tipped her. He felt it would make her feel better to know he really was happy with her service. He just got his first bank account (and job) a few months ago, so paying at a restaurant with his debit card was also a new experience. She brought the slip for him to sign, and he thought he was supposed to write the tip on there being that's what he gave her. Yeah, I know, I should have shown him how to do this before hand but I didn't think of it. Anyway, instead of correcting him, because what 16 year old is going to tip $40 for a $50 meal, she thanked him and walked away. He told me about it later and showed me the slip. I let him know he just tipped her $40 for a $50 meal. He thought he didn't because the additional $20 had not known shown up in his account and said he thinks the waitress knew what he did. I explained to him that they cash it out at the end of the night and be prepared to see it coming out of his account. Well, later that night, the $20 showed up his account. Personally, I would have went back the next day and said something but he said he learned a lesson, a very expensive one to him, and he guesses the waitress really did have a good day after that. I have not been there yet, and now that my son was taken advantage of, unfortunately, I won't ever go there. He said he will go back because they want to go bowling next, but I don't think he will step foot in the restaurant. I have read really great reviews and was excited to get there at some point, but this just ruined it for me. read more

Warning !!! I don't normally write bad reviews but they truly deserve this. Our first time going to their theater we walked in bought tickets picked our seats and the screen that they showed us to purchase. The tickets did not match what was inside the theater so don't go by the screen that they show you so we came back out and asked them to help us because we knew that it didn't look proper. They took us to our seats and said these are your seats which did not match the screen when we purchased them we were fine with that we're sitting waiting for the movie to start in the movie just starting and they come over and tell us we have to go back to the front because they sold the seats for the wrong time. We were there for a 415 show and the young lady sold his tickets for the 7 PM show and we were not the only ones that they did this to there was about 10 of us ushered out to pick new seats once the movie finally began after sitting there for 15 minutes waiting for it to start. This is not the type of experience you want when you go to visit a new movie theater and to go out and watch a movie please check everything the staff does not have a clue what they're doing they were not trained and they were not. Professional with rectifying the mistakes that were made mistakes were made. Very sad experience. Try the Stoneharbor location. read more

Just opened wanted to check out the well advertised "Bowling technology not seen in Jersey" What you mean marionette's with strings attached to plastic pins? Normal bowling physics do NOT apply for this place. $20 hr, $3 shoes. Bought bottle bud and a pepsi $12 bucks. Went to game room which allows credit card purchases $20min. Pacman wouldn't accept card, asked guy to pull plug and reset he refused. Went to play the ONE pinball machine they had. Under glass card said .50 game OR $2 for 6 games.Swiped card and it was $2 for 1/2 credit! $4 bucks a game Told attendant, said "that's not right" and put 3 games on machine.... if were going by under glass card should have been 12 games. Williams Flintstones pinball released in 1994. Rubbers old, bumpers barely worked, flipper solenoid's worn out. This place is a kids busy land. I spent over $60 for an hours barely called entertainment. Did not use movie theater. Not worth the money IMHO. read more

this place is beautiful they brought something new and fun to Rio Grande, the only problem was the Bartender/Server was horrible,Horrible attitude, I ate at the bar and had a few drinks. The bartender , Bigger girl , glasses , I believe her name was Haley and I only know that because her coworker said her name, she didn't introduce herself,She didn't smile ,she gave me my menu walked away I didn't even get five minutes to drink some of my beer, she came up to me right away. What would you like to order sir? I got no smile,no how are you.. just attitude!! I ordered the back nine burger which was delicious that's about the only thing I enjoyed while I was there. I had to call her over twice before I could pay My bill , she didn't say goodbye ,have a good day Nothing . Before I decided to leave I had asked her if I could have a glass of water because I had a couple drinks ,I had to drive home. She looked at me walked away. I thought she was going to get my water. She never returned with the water. I watched her walk by me two times not even acknowledging me, I never got the water !!! I didn't know it was an issue for someone to ask for a glass of water because they had a couple drinks. especially after eating and leaving a $20 tip! She (Haley) was absolutely pathetic. I will not be be returning. read more
