Parents please NEVER drop your child off unsupervised at any business establishment that is not certified to babysit them and even so you need to ask your children how they were treated because kids don't always know when something is wrong and that they should speak up; they just know they don't like it. As soon as my parents left the hair stylist (I wish I remember her name but she was always mean and was obese) who did the detangle and blow dry turned into a different person. She began angrily RIPPING my hair out with the comb to the point of tears for thirty minutes straight. I still remember the pain and my cries twenty + years later and seeing half my hair on the floor from being ripped out of my scalp, it was so traumatizing. I had to endure this every time I went and felt like I was being punished by going there, as if I had done something bad. As a child of nine or ten years old I didn't know this was wrong, but it was child abuse. The stylist briefly went through a "nice period" after she lost some weight where she didn't rip out my hair which it was only then I knew I wasn't deserving of this treatment and she was taking her anger out on the children. So sick. I don't know who can treat a child that way. How does this f&$k live with themselves? The experiences always bothered me but only as an adult who just had my first baby do I find the need to say something even though it's been years. I will never drop my child at any business establishment unsupervised. What makes it even worse is that all the other beauticians saw this horrendous abusive behavior and did NOTHING to stop it. They are just as guilty. I honestly can't believe they stayed in business and there was not a lawsuit because all the little girls there at that time were subjected to the same torture as me. I guess times have changed for the better nowadays and harming children is taken more seriously. Anyway, I would avoid this place like the plague after it traumatized me and so many other little girls.

When I arrived at Salon Fuse, it was a little offputting. There was only one woman working and the place seemed to be under repair. I just felt kinda weird and so I pulled up Yelp and saw all of the terrible reviews. I got really nervous but thought I'd give her the benefit of the doubt. Right off the bat (I think her name is Evie) seemed to be very skilled in her craft. She seemed to know exactly what I was looking for and was very encouraging saying how much I was going to love my hair. What I loved- *she seemed very knowledgeable *She was friendly *The place, although under repair is cute and modern *My hair! And isn't that the most important thing? She cut off just the right amount (I wanted to keep the length but add some long layers) and the color is beautiful What could have been better *she's very heavy handed. I look forward to the relaxing feeling of getting my hair "played with" when I get it done but there was nothing relaxing about how she handled my hair/ head... it wasn't awful... it just wasn't good. *She did upsell the toner for $30... said normally it would be $45 *She said she was doing me a favor by putting in "extra" highlights because the Groupon is only for a few but the Groupon specifically says "full highlights" *She never asked what color highlights I wanted which I thought was weird but she nailed it. I think she really knows what she's doing.

I'm a new mom who's on a budget and asked for a simple womens haircut- long layers, nothing fancy. As you can see in this photo, she cut several inches into my hair of what should have only been my face frame/ bang area. I realized this when I got home. I tried to call and ask for the manager and owner information to file a complaint; she refused to give me any of that info or put me in contact to someone higher up. She then hung up on me. I'm so infuriated. Please don't waste your time or money!
