You buy the deal that comes with a cart .but when you get there they tell you that you only bought half the cart& have to ride with a stranger . The price was increased from $22 to $37 ( deal time rate. ) the only difference is they make you ride with a stranger. If your a single & get a deal time & cart included. Beware . read more

I live nextdoor to this golf course and this establishment refuses to put up a net to catch golf balls. Because there is no net, a golf ball shattered my rear window of my Toyota. I am not the first victim of a shattered window due to a golf ball from Harbor Park Golf Course. There are children that play in the yard and one day a loose golf ball will kill a child or person. I urge this establishment to put up a net immediately. I filed a claim against the city which was denied. If you golf here, please inform the staff and they must put up a net immediately before a death occurs. read more

First time at a golf course to "play". My family decided to play golf with my aunt and uncle so they brought me along to drive the golf cart (tbh I think I had more fun driving the cart than them playing) We came on a Sunday afternoon around 3pm and it was pretty empty. I don't know what to compare the golf course to. There's a lot with lots of parking available. We did 9 holes in about 2-3 hours (for 5 golfers in the group). We did have to wait a bit for a larger group in front of us, but not a big deal. My parents said it was a lot faster for them since they usually come and don't get a golf cart. read more

The good of Harbor Park Golf Course: All employees are fantastic and very helpful. They have a nice little warm up area and nice practice areas. Course condition is very good. Wish people would repair fairway divots and ball marks on the greens. There is a nice little cafe with food, snacks and beverages. The bad: Getting a tee time between 7am to 2pm is impossible. Walk ons are possible but not sure how long the wait maybe. read more

This place is one of the few full size 9 hole gold courses around and probably a better 9holes than Los Verdes just not the view. A lot of people just don't know about it. No practice facility but reasonably priced and worth adding to your South Bay rotation since playing Trumps gets a little pricey. read more

I would give zero stars if I could. Let's get this right - I have a tee time at 550am, I show up to pay, but the line is long to check in to pay, at least 6 people ahead of me. By the time I get to the mean lady at the cashier, I informed her my tee time is 550am and it is now exactly 550am and no one is even on the tee box from what I can see and she says I have been cancelled and I would have to be put on a waitlist. Meanwhile I'm getting charged $10 for a no show fee. This place is awful! read more

I have golfed here on and off since the 80's, and not much has changed. This is a 9 hole course, $18 for the round, and $3 for a pull cart. Not sure how much it cost if you want to go around a second time, but I'm sure it's a deal. The course has no driving range, which is within walking distance, but you can putt and use their swing cage. If you get there early enough, there is a golf range which is about a 3 minute car ride away, but not anything you would walk to. The physical condition of the course is a solid B, it's a great course for a novice/beginning golfer, and will still be appreciated by a more seasoned golfer. I always have fun here, and you will meet several interesting people when you play. In the spirit of, "you get what you pay for," $18 for 9 holes is a good deal in the golf world. read more

Great course layout. Starter is always on top of it and a genuine good guy. Pace of play is typically pretty speedy. Personal favorite holes: the drivable par 4 #4 and the LA version of the road hole/the par 5 #5. Only suggestion would be that they take out one of the large putting greens and put in a practice chipping area with a bunker. read more

Harbor Park is a fun golf course. Twilight starts at 5 PM for $8.50 Mon-Thurs. Normal price for 9 holes is $16 Mon-Thurs. On Fridays 9 holes is $18.50 and twilight is $10.25. On weekends/holidays: 9 holes is $21 and twilight is $12. I wish I had known these details before we paid. We missed twilight by 20 minutes and paid almost double, oh well. This course is a sinch to walk, if you don't want to carry your golf bag you can bring your own pull/push cart or rent one there. Electric cart rental is $10 and push cart rental is $3. It's not a bad place to play for the amount you pay. The greens were in decent shape when I played a few weeks ago. It is a public course so be aware that you will probably wait on every shot for the group in front of you to clear out of the way. It's a good course for beginners and golfers of all skill levels. They have 2 parking lots. There is a fee to park in the south parking lot but the west parking lot is free. Be aware that there have been numerous vehicle thefts in both parking lots. Awesome experience! The place is reasonably priced (18.00 for a round of golf). It is a true executive 9 hole course with several 5 and 4 par holes. You can use must of your clubs on this course. They have a cafe serving up dishes to curb your appetite before or after a round. This might not be important to others but they have gated parking (I like it) makes the place feel more up scale for a traditional muni guy like myself). The greens where in great shape. However there were a few place under repair or in need of repair around the course. We're in a drought and the water usage seems excessive to me. But hey what do I know! My next favorite thing I look forward to when making my monthly trek to the South Bay is to work in some golf. This time around we decided to play Harbor Park GC. Ya, it's in Wimas territory but, hey, we heard it was good and needed to check it for ourselves. Hehe... It's a very nice muni course that's a regulation 9-hole. For beginners like us, it was a great place practice our long game and the fairways are wide enough that we can make up for errant shots off the tee. Holes 4-6 have doglegs with 5 going downhill and 6 going uphill. The last two in those series of holes were Kapalua-esque and especially fun. ;) Prices are reasonable; it was $17 for the weekend plus $10/person for a cart (but we walked it). My only problem with this course is that you must get in your car and DRIVE to the range. I found that sort of weird. At first we thought there was no range, which we thought was strange (and a big bummer), but then realized there was one. Other than that, The Hubbs and I really enjoyed this course. And who knew Wimington could be so serene?! read more

This is one of my local golf courses. Harbor Park is 9 holes, a true walking course with long fairways. I really like playing here with my friends, cuz I can bring out the BIG club. There is only two holes that I do not hit my Driver. Yes, I'm not a big hitter at only 250 yd avg, but its only for fun. Harbor Park has a cafe to grab a bite to eat and a drink. The food now is leaning more towards Hawaiian style. Today, playing early, I grabbed a hot coffee and a Gatoraid for the later holes. For those that do not like to walk, they have carts for rent. The practice putting greens have always been in great shape. There are two parking lots with one on the east side and the other on the south side of the main building. When you don't have time for a full 18-holes, then Harbor will suit you just fine. read more

Oh hellz yeah, Harbor Park! Now, the longest most people have to wait here is about an hour. but honestly it's worth it. This course has plenty of drivable par 4's (the 1st, 4th, and the 9th), also they have two great par 5 (the 3rd, 5th - great downhill approach). It's a great course with great ocean breezes. Always played by the locals and has the most seniors playing there. Some mornings plenty of senior golf clubs are at play. I know the women's club plays there on Tuesday or Wednesday morning. But usually, the course is really free after noon. Prices are cheap here, usually under $20 for a round with a cart. But unless you're a complete invalid, you don't need the cart. The twilight and super twilight fees are under $10, so if you feel the need to play and you're poor, come here. It's places like these make me miss living in the South Bay. My cheap, no tee time, totally walkable, local 9 hole golf course. I still remember showing up never playing the course and now a year later I've probably played 20 rounds here. This place is great cause you can hone down your game and practice all your shots. This ain't country club standards so expect beat up greens and unrepaired divots, nor will you find the 1% here. Okay I REALLY want to rate this place higher, but I have to compare it to ALL golf courses. Keep in mind: I am slightly biased. I have been going to this course since as long as I can remember. Its inexpensive, there is usually no wait, and the course is decently maintained. The only problem with this course is that you'll be behind the occasional people who are learning the game and can slow you down. Pass them up. If I could guess how many rounds of golf I've played here it'd probably be around 50 times over the course of 20 years. Maybe more. read more

A very decent course to sharpen every part of your game. Very wide fairways, so a very forgiving course. But there are challenges too. Hole 4 is a obscured downhill half way down the fairway. Hole 6 is a short par 3, but the green is not visible behind the trees. There are not too many hazards. Very few bunkers but I managed to find one. The course is a very well kept city course, taxpayer dollars at work. Fairways are green. Greens are well kept. A lot of people I am paired with when I play this course say Harbor is their practice course. Usually five-some groups are sent down the course. On occasion I've only been part of a two-some, but that is rare. This course is usually crowded. Some very slow golfers on this course. My last game took 2 1/2 hours, and that is average. Unless you are lucky enough to be behind a couple of fast groups. Everyone I've met on this course is cool, goes with the flow, doesn't complain, and doesn't take their game to serious. This course offers cart rental, and they are old. They make a lot of squeaks, and rattles, but get you through the nine holes. I recommend this course to get in a quick game, you need the practice anyway right. Everyone needs practice. read more

Love this place! Great for developing players who want to use the rest of the clubs in their bag. When I worked in LA, it was a convenient place to go for some twilight rates. Pretty cheap even with cart (about $20 I think). 9-hole, par 36 facility with some really fun level changes and doglegs. You might very occasionally get stuck behind a slow group, but usually the play is pretty quick. From the blue tees, holes range in length from 512 yards to 159 yards (mostly ~300-400 yards otherwise). Fairways are pretty wide. Hole #6 always gets me thinking about how much I really trust myself to fly the ball straight over a swampy tree area to the green hiding uphill. Pure fun! read more
