Let me say that I like Harbor Freight. The tools are reasonable value, reasonably reliable and service is not bad, with 1 exception. I have purchased from other locations without any problem. Harbor Freight in Monroe is the exception and does not share the same customer service as other local locations. The reason seems to be "Steve Store Manager". I purchased an impact driver from this store along with $264 of other tools to finish a restoration project. Less than 30 days later I carried the unopened box with tool back to the store wanting a store credit to apply to another purchase. The cashier, Hannah, agreed to do so when Steve burst from his office proclaiming this was not allowed. "Since when?, I asked. I was told not at this store. We again verified my purchase on line and the date and price. I asked if I could speak with the general manager. Steve stated I could call 1-800-harborfreight. I did. (funny.. not a valid number) Steve gave me another number (shown in photos) Again, not valid. And then again, and then only when I was dialing did Steve provide a real number to Harbor Freight. This issue is not resolved nor does Steve want it to be resolved or having satisfied customers, at this location. Here's a funny for you. While I was dialing the fake numbers at 8:10am with no other customers in line or in the store, Steve was informing me that I should move out of line so other customers could be served. So, what other customers is Steve seeing that no one else is seeming? Then again, it could be that big boss Steve was showing his inflated manhood and power to the attractive cashier and not acting in the best interest of the business or customer. What a drama queen!
