I arrived at the store 6 minutes before they closed to purchase a premium tile saw/stand. I arrived 6 minutes before they close and the manager standing outside of the door crossed his arms glared it me and I asked if I still had 5 minutes and that I knew what I needed already and he stated " that's what they all say". I quickly grabbed the tile saw and dragged it to the counter and went back for the stand and requested assistance loading the saw into my truck because I am a handicapped disabled person and that's why I parked in the handicap Zone in front with a handicap placard on my mirror. The girl at the register requested assistance from the manager and he refused and he was standing at the front door already and the man had to come from the back and assist me after my purchase. On my way out I mentioned to the manager that he did not to be need to be rude to me and that he did not need to act like that and he said that "he can". I have been coming to this location for many years and has had wonderful engagements with many employees. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever received at any type of a store or retail establishment that I can remember and I'm 56 years old. The message I received today from the manager from his behavior, attitude, demeanor, and words sent a clear message to me that my patronage is not wanted or needed and that managers can say and do anything they want. Federal law states I can park in the handicap spot anytime I need to because I'm a handicapped person w/ valid placecard on mirror. The attitude of the manager was disrespectful, discriminatory, rude, and downright hurtful. If these behaviors are the new customer service policy of Harbor Freight please State them on advertisements, emails, sales sheets, and store signage. The fact that I was put on hold immediately when I called while in route to the store and the girl was standing at the register doing nothing and I was still on hold is it direct reflection of the current management and I feel very unwanted, unneeded, and unimportant.Store #00080 / Receipt 999035545258/03/05/2023 read more
