Home Depot's associates don't know their product. Not to mention the store's inventory is grossly…read moreoverpriced. I was looking for furniture repair hardware. I attempted to find it myself before asking an associate. At the time I didn't know the proper name of said hardware so I described it as a sofa nut while showing the associate a sofa leg I brought into the store. The associate asked if I've been down the hardware aisle which, I said "yes." The associate pointed to a regular screw nut. I said that's not sofa hardware. Once again displaying the sofa leg, I described the hardware I'm looking for is furniture repair hardware hoping he's changed a sofa leg or two in his lifetime. The associate then tells me that this is an equipment hardware store and that I need to go to a "furniture store" for furniture hardware. Already knowing furniture stores don't sell furniture repair hardware, I excused him. I checked again before leaving and found something called a "tee nut." The only downside was the size I needed wasn't in stock. I headed over to Lowe's that has a similar hardware aisle and found a drawer actually labeled "furniture parts"(Home Depot has these same drawers but are not labeled as such.) I purchased a pack but unfortunately they weren't there right size either. I actually found better and correct sized hardware at Stines in Broussard.

Unfortunately the young man was not able to find the item either. The manager for the department came over and she said it shows that what I was looking for was in the store. But since they weren't able to find it she if I could find a comprable item I could get it for the same price. Which is exactly what I ended up doing. I want to thank the lady who's working the customer service, the young man working the department and the manager of the department.

Don't purchase an appliance from Lowe's. Just went through a 3 week nightmare with them. Bought a…read morerefrigerator from there. Measurements were all wrong on the sales tag for the item. Salesman assured me it would fit in the space in my kitchen. They delivered it the next day and that's when I found out the measurements weren't right on the description for the frig. They picked up old refrigerator and left new one sitting in the middle of kitchen. Went to Lowe's again the next day. They apologized for not having the info righ. Had to buy another refrigerator which ended up being a speed order, so they told me I wouldn't get my refund for the other for up to 10 days. Paid out of pocket for two refrigerator's in two days. Had to order one online when I was in the store. The salesman from the first day was complaining that he was going to lose his commission‍. Chaos. The third day the refrigerator (with wrong measurements) was picked up. They were so rude. Saying next time we should measure before we buy a refrigerator. That was their fault. Second refrigerator arrived that afternoon but before it did, I received a text about the item and it stated that the measurements were wrong for that item too. Had to go back to Lowe's and talk to the supervisor. Nobody knew if the measurements were right on the info about it or not. Wouldn't know until it got to the house ‍. Thank goodness the info was right online. Still no refund for the first refrigerator. Called the store, they didn't know where the refrigerator was. They would have to locate it! After 4 days of waiting for them to locate it, I called the head office. By this time it had been 3 weeks and no refund. I had to demand they refund my money that day. Was total hell for 3 weeks. Finally got refund. I highly suggest going somewhere else for an appliance. Don't go to Lowe's!!!!!! Sheila H.
